SEED: Dawn of the Rebellion

This roleplay is set in the futuristic world of Sicila, previously a beautiful world full of plant life and water. That was before a symbiotic alien race came. They plundered the world's raw materials almost to near exhaustion and what resistance the inhabitants were able to offer was quickly stamped out. All hope seemed lost....until a group of humanoid creatures (I say this because there are several races on Sicila) somehow managed to fuse with the soul of one of the alien creatures, now called the SEED. The individuals were given God-like senses, amazing agility and even Titan-like strength. They began to use this alongside their new weapons, created when the humanoid creatures fused with the SEED, to fight back. They are called; Burster's.

That's where you guys all come in. You roleplay as a young Burster who recently acquired their symbiotic weapon and abilities. You're forcibly enrolled into an academy where you learn how to use your weapon and are randomly teamed up into teams of three Bursters to go out and slay the SEED. Your ultimate goal; kill the Queen and save Sicila.

You get to make your own humanoid race, pick and create one symbiotic weapon of your choice and you can choose two physical aspects of your character to enhance. One catch about your weapon though; it's main function has to be ranged attacks.

Rules:


- No God-moding (keeps things realistic, despite your characters having at least a few superhuman abilities, the SEED are where you get your powers from. Expect pain. Loooots and looots of pain >:3 )

- Don't double post; even if you can reply to something that's posted, please try to wait for other roleplayer's to catch up before you reply again. This gives everyone an equal chance to post and roleplay with everyone else. ^^

- In combat (and there will be combat trust me!), you are allowed to auto-hit a creature or opponent only one time! So that means if you wish, you attack and deal damage to something once per post. Any other damage has to be an attempt. So say you kick someone in the leg and then want to punch them in the throat. The kick auto-hits and the punch would be worded in the format of an attempt. It's up to the target of the attack to decide whether or not the attack lands or misses. However if the attack misses, a reasonable explanation for miss must be provided within the post.

- Try to keep your posts longer than just a sentence or two if you can help it. It makes the roleplay run more smoothly that way I think.

Let me know what you think and if it will work it just came right off the top of my head.

To answer your question Pink, yes you can use an anthro character so long as it's humanoid. Try to come up with a creative name for your race too instead of Humanoid Wolf. It adds flavor to the story and to your character. ^^
And a sniper rifle for a tail is interesting. How does she shoot?

Well I was going to use her right arm originally. Can I still change it?

(OOC: You all start on the drop deck of a small airship that's taking you and four other new Burster's to the XSEED Burster Academy. There is a very obvious military persona pacing in front of you, lecturing you about the planet's history and....other stuff)

"It is the year 2677 on the planet of Sicila. The invasion of the diabolical SEED creatures has left the planet almost completely desolate and devoid of many of its natural resources. Entire oceans have been drained dry, forests have been destroyed and harvested and precious minerals have been taken. All militaristic resistance used against these alien, bug-like creatures has been an effort in futility. The SEED crushed us at every turn and showed their dominance over us by destroying almost every pocket of resistance on the planet. Many years ago, a brave denizen of our fair planet took it upon themselves to try and make contact with the SEED. This event not only showed us how to fight back against them but it also gave us all hope once again. Finally we were able to fight back and use their own strengths against them!"

The military person turns to all of you as he seems to finish his small lecture on the planet's history so far, nothing you didn't already know. He was male with short cropped dusty blonde hair and was very neatly dressed with a large star emblazoned on his uniform on his left shoulder. He had green eyes and a very southern accent to his voice, his body muscular and clearly built for combat due to his training in the military. Some music can be heard in the background of the airship's drop deck, something akin to elevator music for military personnel you can all surmise. He turns to all of you and clears his throat, getting all of your attention.

"Are there anymore stupid questions any of you wants to ask me?"

He asks awfully sternly, making a small girl sitting within the drop deck shy away a bit blushing from ear to ear. She was small but obviously within her teens to early twenties of age and had a slight, skinny build. Her blue eyes easily gleamed like jewels in the light and her large, round, panda-like ears were bent down slightly into her long brown hair. She had tanned skin and wore what looked like a small poncho over a light brown undershirt and brown shorts, wearing sandal's on her feet rather than regular shoes. She was clearly from a warmer country or what was left of one.

A young Lycan girl in her early twenties with fur as black as night with long white hair is standing in a corner of the ship her ears and tail twitching as she listened to the officer's lecture looks at him.

"When do we start our training sir?"

She stands there waiting for him to answer her question.

Staying where she had been put when they where put on the ship, looking around quietly as she listened but kept her left eye shut. River tended to keep one eye shut around other new people since she often attracted too much attention with the colors. Hearing one person actually asked a question she looked over at them and watched quietly, pulling the long cloak she had on close since the black dress she had on wasn't good for this sort of situation.

Lulu noticed the girl looking at her and walked over to her and held her hand out to say hi.

"Hi my name is Lulu, What is your name?

The military personnel smiles at Lulu's question and starts to pace again as everyone can feel the airship they were flying in start to descend.

"You start your training as Burster's the moment we touch down. An elite member of the Burster squadron's will be giving you all of the details once we land. I believe he's an older one by the name of Scar?"

He shrugs and watches everyone as they socialize, happy to see that they were at least not at each other's throats for once....

River blinked and looked a bit surprised when the girl named Lulu walked over and offered her hand and a greeting. She hadn't expected to make friends here so quickly or just meet someone being kind like that.

"River... I suppose it's nice to meet you Lulu."

She said and took Lulu's hand lightly, hesitant to try and make friends though considering what world they where heading into now.

"Nice to meet you Ruver."

After Lulu said hi to River she went to say hi to the others that were on the ship to try to make friends.

Besides the panda eared girl and the military person, there were two other people aboard the ship. One was a girl with what seemed like a squid's tentacle protruding from her head as if it were her hair and webbed hands and feet. She seemed to have bright blue scales on her skin and small claws on her hands. Her eyes had no pupils but were an irridescent green in color with no whites in them. She had a round nose and fish-like fins coming from her elbows. Her bright blue scales were laden with a stripe of green scales that seemed to outline her body and its curves.

The other passenger had a large cross-shaped gravestone about three foot tall next to him on the ground and was wearing a dark colored cloak. A veil on the cloak made it impossible to see his face but he had a clearly skinny build from what you can observe. The airship seemed to be descending slowly so there was definitely plenty of time to talk if someone wanted to do so.

River tilted her head some and watched Lulu wander off after having sad hello. She didn't say anything else though and didn't bother to follow since she didn't feel the need to make friends. Instead she just stood back some and watched quietly with her head tilted.

Lulu walked over to the other girl and the guy in black to say hi.

"Hi my name is Lulu. What are your names?"

After Lulu said hi and introduced herself she stood there waiting for a response from the both of them.

The fish-like woman was the only person to really respond to Lulu's question, the man in the cloak seeming to ignore her for the time being. The woman looks over to her and seems to glare at her out of irritation as her fins spread out in a sort of intimidating gesture. Her voice is a little shrill but it had a sort of melodic element to it that was difficult to detect.

"You should be more focused on what you're being brought here to do, not with making friends!"

She gives a snobby sort of huff and turns her nose up at Lulu as the man in the cloak stands up and picks up the grave marker that was next to him. His voice was calm and rough as if he was from a very southern part of the world.

"Grave...."

He says as he turns to look at the bay doors of the airship as if he was expecting them to open at any moment.

River frowned some when she heard the girl respond to Lulu, moving a bit closer as she crossed her arms over her chest. She was ready to jump up and defend someone just trying to make friends if it came to it. Though she wasn't going to start a fight that easily, instead she just watched and waited quietly.

"I think for now we can just stay clam rather then get snappy with each other yes?"

The fish-like girl simply huffed and stood up, reaching off to her side and picking up a small duffel bag off of the ground next to her and slinging it over her shoulder. She frowns at River as she goes by.

"We were all forced here to learn how to fight. Not. Make. Friends. Now, if you'll excuse me, we should be landing soon. Our friend here with the heightened sixth sense obviously knows that."

She snaps at her, crossing her arms and tapping her foot as she waited somewhat impatiently for the airship to land.

River frowned a bit more as she listened to the girl, trying to hold back now from snapping at her. She seemed so rude, even if they weren't there to make friends it didn't mean she had to be so rude.

"Oh? I hope you don't mind me trying extra hard to actually learn something called teamwork then to survive better then you ever will?"

She said and shrugged, waiting where she was quietly though.

Lulu did not like the fish girls response so she turned and walked away.

"I guess we will never be friends." She said to the fish girl as she was walking away.

Lulu walked over to where she left her bag and picked it up and put it on her back. Lulu then turned to the door and lefted her head and started sniffing the air and let out a deep long growl.

The military personnel turns and smirks at Lulu as she growls, the girl with the panda-like ears standing up and gathering her bags rather clumsily as the ship finally touched down. The girl squeaked and fell over, prompting the man in the cloak to bend down and silently offer her his hand up as the docking bay doors opened up. A rush of air blows past everyone as a very large Lycan with a big scar over his right eye is seen standing in front of the door as it opens. The Lycan appeared to be male and around his mid-twenties to early thirties and was wearing tight fitting, dark colored slacks and a sleeveless shirt in original camouflage colors. He was grinning at them as the military personnel all left the docking bay and left you all with the new Lycan.

He laughs heartily as he spots the fish-like woman, moving aside for her to walk past. "Another Siren! Don't see very many of those nowadays now that most of the water's dried up! Where're you from cadet?"

She keeps her displeased face as she speaks to him. "I'm from the southwest...."

His grin instantly disappears and he puts a hand on her shoulder. "My condolences. Did your family live there in the water?" He asks her. For once the Siren girl tears up a little and nods to his comment, letting him bring her into a hug and rub her back. "There now, it's alright." He tells her, letting her go and turning to the rest of you. "For those of you who are not aware, I am Lieutenant Scar of the Claw Brigade. I am the leader of one of the top Burster teams in this base. You'd best treat me with respect too because I'm gonna be your teacher and your best friend for the duration of your stay here! Now then...." He clears his throat as the Siren woman walks back in line with the rest of you. "ATTENTION!" He barks out, prompting the Siren woman, the man in the cloak and the girl with the panda-like ears all to suddenly stand straight up and not say a word.

Scar looks around at all of you and takes a deep breath before looking at Lulu, River and the girl with the panda-like ears. "Starting from the right, tell me your names and where you come from cadet's! Save for you....I have a hunch that I know where you come from little girl...." He says to Lulu, narrowing his eyes before looking at everyone else.

Lulu stops growling when she saw that it was a Lycan and looks at him.

"Hello Lieutenant Scar Sir! My name is Lulu."

Once Lulu introduce herself she stood there not to happy to see Lieutenant Scar and kept quiet.
