Lance moved to block Shiro's Glaive but this time his staff was knocked away and out of his grip by her strike. As he reeled from her attack, Lance gave a small grunt of pain as his shoulder started to seep with blood before stopping himself on his heel. In the next moment he had hit her square in the stomach with a powerful palm thrust. He knelt down afterwards, holding his shoulder in pain.

Shiro coughed some when she fell down after being hit, dropping her glaive as she curled up slightly and tried to get her breathing back to proper. Seeing him though she carefully sat up and moved closer to him.

"Y-You are bleeding again, we should get that taken care of."

She said quietly as she went to check his shoulder.

Lance's shoulder injury that Shiro had inflicted on him earlier that day appeared to have opened back up again as it continued to bleed through his wrappings. Lance however, only shrugged Shiro off and went to retrieve his spear.

"Not yet....I have to keep fighting...."

He grunted, getting up shakily before getting into a ready position. He seemed a bit off balance but otherwise he looked alright enough to continue.

Shiro watched him and frowned as she did, looking at her Glaive as she picked it up before shaking her head.

"I refuse to fight you any more, you are bleeding. If you keep going on like this you will probably pass out. I would prefer to not have to carry you back."

She said and shook her head again, watching him after since she wasn't sure what he might do.

Lance growled at Shiro a bit.

"How can you give up like that? What do you even fight for?"

He asks her, flinching a bit from his shoulder.

"Fight for?"

Shiro asked and looked at him a bit confused, not sure what he meant by that since they where training and she was just trying to make sure he was okay.

"I don't know what you mean but really, you shouldn't push yourself until you pass out for training. You need to get care."

She said quietly and moved to walk over to him slowly.

Lance shook his head and kept his spear at the ready.

"How can you not have a goal? Something that you strive for? To train endlessly to achieve? How can you be so....green?"

He asked her, hoping she knew what the term greenhorn meant.

Shiro frowned when seeing wasn't going to let her get closer so easily and shook her head as she listened to him.

"What do I have to look for? A friend? Someone? I can train to protect myself and find peace on my own, I failed to do that and now I am here. Will you please just let me take care of your shoulder now?"

She asked him quickly, getting a bit short now since she was trying hard to help someone but he was only giving her life lessons she didn't need now.

Lance stares at her for a moment before giving a sigh and putting his double ended spear away, the blades retracting and turning the weapon into an ordinary pole. He sheathes it onto his back before trying to get his shirt off, having a bit of difficulty with it.

Shiro gave a little sigh when he relaxed, going over to help him with the shirt. She didn't think much of doing such a thing though since she just wanted to check the wound out.

"I thought you said your friend had helped you heal this, it is still fresh though. You are going to need more bandages and maybe more medicine for this. As well as rest, you need that too."

She said and stared him straight in the eyes when she said the last part.

Lance sighed and fell backward onto the grass, relaxing as his partner spirit, Raiken, curled up on his chest.

"Nap time it is then...."

He said quietly, going to close his eyes.

Shiro watched him a little bit surprised when he just fell onto the ground like that, not having thought he would do such a thing.

"Okay then... I will be back in a minute with bandages for you."

She said before walking away, coming back with her own supplies of bandages and medicine for his shoulder. She didn't care if he was awake or asleep when she started to unwrap his shoulder, cleaning his shoulder with the medicine before wrapping it back up.

Lance didn't open his eyes when he felt the stinging of the medicine on his injury, giving Shiro a cheeky grin.

"You're awfully good at that for someone who's taking classes to fight against monsters."

He teased her lightly, keeping his eyes shut.

Shiro looked surprised at what he said and started to pout as she did, finishing with wrapping him up quickly as she did.

"Is it wrong that I have always had to care for my own wounds? What is wrong with someone knowing how to heal as well as wound anyway."

She muttered as she moved to lay down next to him as she finished.

Lance's grin turned into a small smile as he chuckled at her.

"I didn't say anything about that being a bad thing."

He told her truthfully, taking a deep breath and letting his muscles relax. Maybe that nurse was right....maybe he just needed to relax more.

Shiro glanced at him quietly before stretching some as she looked at the sky that was getting darker.

"Well you can think what you like about it I suppose. I at least helped you with your shoulder and you seem more willing to relax. After of course you nearly made me stop breathing."

She mumbled and sighed, she hurt a lot more then she was used to in a long time from all the fighting she had done that day. So it felt nice to just relax for minute, no matter how strange it was she was next to someone else who she thought might kill her if something happened.

Lance chuckled at Shiro's remark as he watched the skies start to grow darker.

"If you were a spirit that wouldn't have done much of anything to you at all. Not without charging my palm with Raiken's lightning anyway. Speaking of spirits...."

He turned to her.

"It's getting dark. If we stick around here for too much longer, we might get attacked by spirits. You wanna head back? We have our weapons. Think we'd be alright if we stayed a little longer?"

He asked her, genuinely curious as to what she thought might happen.

Shiro listened quietly to what he was saying and sighed quietly, shaking a few thoughts from her head though when she noticed he was looking at her. She just shrugged slightly and yawned some.

"I am a bit curious what sort of spirits would be around the school, though you probably need rest."

She said and moved to sit up as she pulled her Glaive closer.

Lance frowned at Shiro as she got up.

"I already know a couple. They're not too tough considering where we are in the forest. Deeper in though, that's a different story."

He told her honestly, shifting a bit to be ready to get up and fight at a moment's notice.

Shiro listened to him and crowned as she did though sighed after a second and gave into what he wanted.

"Fine, but I will help you if I think you need it at some point. I dont like having to drag you away."

She said as she stood with her Glaive quietly, looking around and listening to the forests sounds as she waited.

Lance sighs and gets up, sheathing his spear onto his back as he collects his now bloodied shirt. There's a growl deeper in the forest that sounds like an angry animal, making Lance shiver a bit.

"Ugh....Ursine's. I hate bears."

He admits, going to walk out of the forest.

"Let's get out of here before that thing finds us. I really don't feel like getting mauled tonight because I've been weakened by our sparring."

He tells her, walking in the direction of the dorm's.

Shiro looked at him a little bit surprised when he said they should leave, nodding quietly though as she went to follow him. She kept her guard up but didn't want to be left behind.

"Are you going to rest tomorrow as well?"

She asked and tilted her head and looked at him as she did.

Lance shrugged as he kept leading her out of the forest and away from the growling bear-like noises.

"I don't know. If you have your way though I'll probably just wind up relaxing the entire day."

He admitted as they walked.

"If you would like me to I can go ahead and hang out with you."

Shiro offered and looked at him a little bit quietly. She was offering but thought he would end up refusing.

"I mean, you do have your other friend but I could be there too."

Lance chuckles and glances at Raiken who was sleeping on top of his head like usual.

"What friend? You mean Raiken? That lazy lizard isn't good for much other than to annoy the crap out of me all day."

He told her with another chuckle.
