Re: [Pokemon Mystery Dungeon] Tales of the Story Fragments
It was at this time of year that the falls looked even more beautiful than before, but now that there were decorations up, the sight could be burned forever into Kumiko's mind. It felt really good to be recognized, and more so encouraged to do something she loved. Not only did her mother back her up on this adventure, but her friends would, too!
After admiring the banner, her eyes traveled to the picnic spread. It looked as if most of the village could attend this banquet! Her heart aflutter with joy, the Froakie found her way over to Bash and Zapp, ready to thank them for putting on such a glorious spread.
"Thanks so much for the invite, you guys! The banner is so nicely written, and the colors look great!" she complimented, grinning at the Pokemon. "I can't wait to try the food you guys have here!"

Rusty wanders up to the waterfall after a little while, confused as to why he wasn't finding too many people other than the adults that were already busy doing other things. He waddles up to the creek where the waterfall was at and, upon seeing the banner and the picnic basket full of food, goes wide-eyed and begins hopping around in excitement! (triggering some very concerning and heavy thuds in the process)
"There's a whole going away party here? Oh my gosh that's so crazy! This is so cool! What kinds of rocks and stuff are in the basket?!" He asks out of his excitement. He immediately wanders over to the big picnic spread and starts sniffing around, hoping to find some yummy rocks, minerals or gems in there to eat. Typical Rusty; always thinking about food!

As the Larvesta and Salazzle approach the party, Cryskull's eyes bug out of his head. He had thought he would totally be the only one who got a letter of acceptance, and the fact that so many others got them definitely deflated his ego.
"I-I....That....Well, so much for gloating..." He sighs. But, when he sees the massive, delicious spread out before him, he feels his little buggy mouth water. Perhaps coming here wasn't a total waste after all? He slides on into the party, bee-lining his way to the food table stealthily, as he tried to avoid attracting attention from the others. Unless he was in full-blown pride mode, with something spectacular to gloat over, Cryskull was usually more of an introvert and hated spontaneously talking to people.
As he approached the food table, he snatches a plate and begins to greedily load up. Time to celebrate his recent achievement!

Bash blushed wildly, trying to cover his face with his tiny arms. Zapp chuckled and rolled over to the waters edge before turning around and addressing the party.
"Hey everyone! Thanks for coming! We wanted to give our congratulations to those who received their exploration letters and will be heading out on a grand adventure tomorrow! We also wanted to use this as an opportunity to thank you guys for the friendships you've blessed us with. So i do hope you enjoy the party! The grown-ups helped us make a lot of food, so help yourself!"
Rusty finds a bunch of colored crystals and scraps in a basket; it looks like they didn't forget about his diet!
~Top of the waterfall~
A figure looks down, excited to have finally arrived.
"Ah- there we go! Got here a day early, but whatevs! Now to just find a wa-"
His black paw slips on a wet stone as the Riolu tumbles down the waterfall into the pool below. He surfaces, spitting out water and swimming for the edge and climbing onto land.... In front of all the other guests!
"Oh- Hello!"
Well this was awkward. At least, to Eris, it was.

Rusty spots the colorful assortment of crystals, minerals and scraps inside of one of the baskets and his eyes start to sparkle. He immediately rears up slightly and tries to sit up on the edge of the basket to eat some of the rocks and scraps. However, due to his abnormally large weight for his size, he winds up crushing the wicker basket on one side, spilling the contents of it onto the ground around him. Rusty doesn't really seem to mind though as he ignores the crushed side of the basket and focuses on the yummy crystals! "Mmmf! Thankf guyf!" He says through a mouthful of a red crystal.
About midway into his eating, he pokes his head up and stares at the Riolu who had just crawled out of the water. This was a new person to him! He smiles at it (though at this point only half of his large eyes were poking up out of the basket; just enough for him to see but not enough for anyone to tell that the creature was smiling). "Hello new fend!" He greets the creature through another mouthful of crystals and scraps. If anyone were to look inside the basket and around Rusty, he was making quite a mess! Little bits of munched crystal, pebbles and scraps were everywhere!

With his plate now filled with a pile of delicious treats, the Larvesta worms his way over to the nearby pool of water, settling at its cool edge to enjoy his meal. When the Riolu tumbles down the waterfall and lands in the water, the Fire-Bug type is met with a surge of cold water that splashes up and drenches him, hat and all! With annoyed, glazed over eyes, he huffs and spits out a small fountain of water comically, pouring his now completely drenched plate onto the ground with a disappointed sigh. "Great...I needed another bath like a Cutiefly needs a sludge bomb."
He looks down at the new arrival and blinks silently. Who was the Riolu that just fell in out of nowhere. "Yeeeeaaaaah....I give you an 8 for the dive, but a 2 for the landing."
