Knives: I was just bein hypothetical. I wouldn't kill ya. You're friends with my brother, who I love to death. now, if you had a huge bounty on your head, that would be another story....*reaches into the backpack and pulls out some metal parts, a tool kit, and some schematics. starts to build something* but anyway, doll, I'm an engineer, that means I solve problems. Not problems like "what is beauty?" because that would fall within the previews of your conundrums of philosophy. No....I solve practical problems. For instance, how am I gonna stop some big, ugly, metal SOK motherlover from tearin me a structurally superfluous new behind? the answer: Use a gun. *reveals that he just built a single barrel turret.* and if that don't work.....*builds a Gatling turret and a rocket turret in a triangle pattern around him*....use more gun. *pats the single barreled turret* like this tripod-mounted little old number designed by me. *picks up bean can* Built by me. *throws can in the air. the turret instantly locks on and puts 20 rounds into the can before it hits the ground without missing a shot* And you best hope....not pointed at you. *sits down on a log seat, pulls out a guitar and starts playing it softly.* I built these so we can sleep soundly tonight without worrying about an ambush. so relax, beautiful.

Pointsettia: I dont really sleep...

Knives: Ya don't sleep? Now, ya see, this is why I avoid powers, they mess with your body functions! why don't ya sleep?

Pointsettia: It isn't because of my abilities. No... Things.... happen...

Knives: Things happen? what kind of things? I'm sure I can find a way to make sure they don't happen.

Pointsettia: you cant... its kinda hard to explain... my dad was a wolf and my mom was... well... a... how should i put this....

Knives: Let me guess....a tree?

Pointsettia: no... a... *quiet voice* siren... im part siren...

Knives: Siren, eh? I thought they couldn't reproduce with mortal men.

Pointsettia: My mom was... different...

Knives: well, I ain't one to judge. I was just curious. as for my parents, my dad was the guy who had the Claw before Alex. my mom was a simple rancher. Alex went off with dad and joined the Faith, I stayed with mom and worked on the ranch. After a while, our ranch got attacked by the Combine and my mom died. Alex joined Dark Cosmo to try and hunt down the Combine. As for me, I became an engineer and built my own arsenal of weapons. Crucifix was the best gun I ever built. its a prototype smaller version of a weapon that I found on some abandoned planet called Earth. the weapon was called a railgun. I made some Mobian modifications to it so instead of bullets, it fires energy waves from the photon reactor in the core of the gun located in th dead center of the Cross.

(OOC: WE SHOULD! We need to make plans again soon, this week is going by too fast!)

Archimedes: B-but Kane we can't just leave you!

S.Leporis: *gripping her mace, leaps into the air and slashes the Manticore across the eyes with the burning golden liquid* Kane, hold it off as long as you can! I'll take these two to the end of this hall way, get them to safety, then I'll come back for you! Watch the tail, and do not die or I'll kill you! *grabs Wrath's wrist, and cradles Archimedes, then takes off down the passage. The Manticore stabs at them with its tail but misses. Guided by is ears and nose, it snarls, and turns to face Kane, while trying to rub the ink out of its eyes.*

Pointsettia: Interesting... *starts peeling an orange. A light blue liquid drips from the fruit*

Knives:....What kind of fruit is that? Don't look like no orange I've ever seen....

Pointsettia: They're normal fruit. Tjey're just laced with a deadly poison.

Knives: Poison, eh? think I could get a sample? I've been workin on a new gene tonic. see, powers are all well and good, but the real double dollars are in the business I'm in other than bounty hunting and mechanical engineering. I'm talkin about Bio-engineering. See, a friend of mine discovered this wonder drug that can give you abilities. now, these aren't powers like you guys have, they're abilities that use a type of energy. there are three types of wonder drugs. there are Plasmids, which give you unnatural abilities like shooting lightning or lighting things on fire with a snap of your fingers. then there are DNA Drugs, which change your appearance. finally, there are Gene Tonics, which give you advantages like tougher skin, stronger muscles, or harder bones. that poison could be a good ingredient to one of my patented Gene Tonics.

Pointsettia: I don't know... I made it on my own. It's incredibly difficult to mix. I have to refer to a mix ratio table...

Knives: *pulls out from the bag a fold-out table with a chemistry set* Just let me see a small sample there, darlin. I won't take long.

pointsettia: .-. alright... *a vine grows up in front of him* here

Knives: *takes a poison sample from the vine and begins working using his chemistry set. after about 2 hours, he holds up a blue vial with a needle* Ta da! A new Gene Tonic! But not just any tonic, its a Plasmid/Tonic Combo! I give you, Salamander Venom Cocktail!

Pointsettia: -.- uh huh...

Knives: It has the power to give anyone who injects themselves with this a complete immunity to over 500 types of poisons and lets them spew out a combination of over 600 types of poisons in a strong gas-form! I must say I have outdone myself this time!

Pointsettia: Great. Im useless now.

Knives: Hey, I'm just holdin on to this little puppy until I get back to planet Rapture. then I'm going to talk to my boss, Ryan, and see if I can't make a profit off this little concoction.

Pointsettia: *mumbling* Exactly why i dont like giving my poison out...
