~Tide Hunter's Wharf~

Cameron: *she shakes her head and looks up at Argyle* It's alright Papa. I'll tell him what I know. *she looks back at Nigel* His body disappeared into a kind of black mist after the duel was over with and Miss Myst had finished watching our duel. Shortly after York disappeared, someone by the name of Khan came and told me about the night that I'd gotten my contract with Null. Turns out that it was him, Miss Myst and one other Lord of Null that were the voices in my head that night. *she tilts her head at him* What is wrong? You seem pale....

Karn: *he takes a deep breath through his nose and shakes his head* I have no idea what or who could've survived that fire Ser Zigg....I suppose it's alright that you have your friends keep an eye out for him but I would rather not know his location. Lance was....an unforgiving person. *he hears the question about his name and stops, not looking at Zigg* The name I hold now is one that I wish to keep. You are not to let anyone else know what my real name is, are we clear? *he tells him, glancing at him* My true name is James Draconan. My family were devout servants of the dragons so they weren't surprised when Lance and I started exhibiting signs that we bore Elder Dragon Souls within our bodies.

June: *she pouts at Zigg's comment about her but it was quickly silenced as Prongs came over and picked her up before gently setting her onto his shoulder. She immediately stops pouting and smiles happily, cuddling up to him as he sat down before promptly closing her eyes and dozing off*

~Grimoire's Bastion~

Frost: *he face turns serious and he doesn't look at Grom as he speaks* Unfortunately the Gelgeth that I wish to see is one that likes to keep to himself. I would prefer not to upset him with the knowledge that you all know where he is so I can't tell you the Gelgeth's name that I seek. *he glances at him* Just know that I already have this planned out. However....I have a rather strange request to make of Lady Grimoire....I wish for her to teach me that Malice Manipulation ability of hers. The stronger I am the safer I'll feel engaging Karnage in combat. He can be....rather reckless....

~Silvenheim~

Zephyr: *he doesn't move his head as he looks around at all of the familiar faces before him, hearing the news of Ember not being here. He sighs and turns around to face Catia, putting his hands in his pockets and making the black mist disappear from his arms* You don't have to do this angel girl....You and your friend with the flaming body there don't have to fight me. I don't want to cause a scene while I'm here....

Cordelia: *he white eyes go wide as she stares at Zephyr, a little dumbfounded as to why she was noticed so quickly* How's this guy so conscious of me? It took forever for the geezer to notice my presence....

Catia: *she tightens her grip on her sword as she nervously stares Zephyr down* I-I don't know....But Uncle Wyald said we need to be the one to fight him....

Lily: *a loud thump can be heard as she lands on the rooftop near Shagga and promptly sits down, giving Zephyr a big goofy grin as she waves at him* Heya Zeph! I thought you would be around soon!

Catia: *she blinks at Lily in utter bafflement and confusion* Y-You know him Lady Lily?

Zephyr: *he turns his head and glances at Lily* ....You could say that....

Lily: *she grins and smacks her fist into the palm of her other hand, winking at him* I kicked his ass when he woke up~ He wasn't a very happy camper.

Zephyr: *he sighs* To awaken to a woman already beating me up while my power was still returning....so embarrassing....

Lily: *she sticks her tongue out at him* It was you who didn't fight back ya weirdo!

Catia: *she stops for a moment, hearing of what had happened and relaxing her grip on her weapon slightly* You....You didn't fight back? Why not?

Zephyr: *he looks over at Dolph and narrows his eyes* It was all of you who assumed my visit here was hostile. I have no intention of doing harm to anyone; not even Ember. Once I have the answers I want, I'm leaving. *he looks back at Catia and narrows his eyes as he stares at her* ....

Catia: *she looks away shyly and blushes* Wh-What? W-Why're you staring at me?

Zephyr: *he watches her carefully and lets a faint black mist come from his arms* ....You remind me of someone that I know....Someone who served under Ember, the same as me.

Cordelia: *she moves in front of Catia and makes her stare at her flaming double in surprise* ....Kid, give him to me....

Catia: *she blinks at Cordelia in confusion but slowly nods in acceptance, closing her eyes as the two swap souls, Catia's white one now floating next to her body. Her body's hair turns a dusty brown and her wings disappear, being replaced with pure hellish flames as her eyes open again, having now turned to a blazing red*

Cordelia: *she moves her other hand away from her sword as its blade ignites with a combination of white and orange flames, making Zephyr narrow his eyes at her. She huffs at him* What? Got something to say bird boy?

Zephyr: *he takes his hands out of his pockets and gets into a ready stance, not making his Devil's Arm appear* ....That's who you remind me of. *he narrows his eyes at her* You remind me of Xytos....

Cordelia: *she doesn't move, her face straight* ....What do you know of that name?

Catia: *she looks at the two of them in surprise once again* X-Xytos? Who's that?

Cordelia: *she growls at Catia* Shut your trap Catia! *Catia gives a shocked squeak and shuts her eyes as Cordelia points her flaming sword at Zephyr* I'm not gonna ask you again! Tell me what you know of that name dammit!

Zephyr: *he sits there silently, watching Cordelia as she gets increasingly more frustrated*

Cordelia: *she lets out a frustrated yell and charges at Zephyr* Fine! I'll just beat it out of you! *she swipes her blade at Zephyr and he simply does a simple step to the side, not counterattacking her. Cordelia growls and wheels around, swinging her weapon at Zephyr's side*

Zephyr: *he vanishes from sight as a black mist starts to envelop the area around the two of them, appearing a moment later behind her with his back turned* You're much too slow. Your rage is blinding you to the truth that's right in front of you.

Cordelia: SHUT UP!! *she yells, a spell seal appearing on the ground beneath the two of them and making a column of hellfire laced with white light erupt into the air from beneath them. As the flames clear, her eyes widen as she spots Zephyr a good two feet from where the column of flames' area of effect had been. It was as if he was taunting her by choosing to barely dodge her attacks*

Zephyr: *he puts his hands in his pockets again and watches Cordelia closely* I've changed my mind about fighting. You peak my interest....However, I refuse to deal any real damage to you so I will simply let you attack me as much as you want. If you land a hit, I'll leave. If I manage to tire you out however.... *he glances at Shagga and the others* I wish for all of you to back off. I'm a demon of my word....

Cordelia: *she growls and her wings seem to explode from her anger* YOU LITTLE BASTARD!! HOLD STILL SO I CAN KICK YOUR ASS!!! *she shouts, cracking the ground beneath her as she launches herself at him. But as she swipes at him, he vanishes again and appears behind her with his eye closed and his posture still relaxed. Cordelia grits her teeth and whips around, shooting a large fireball at him as he simply vanishes and appears behind like before, the fireball impacting a house in the immediate area and exploding. She yells as she swipes at him again and again, each attack resulting the same as before with Zephyr only moving just enough to dodge the attack completely as if to taunt her*

Zephyr: *he stares at Cordelia, still having not moved his hands out of his pockets as Cordelia was swiping at him. His face was unnaturally calm....as if he was only interested in observing her moves* ....Your speed isn't enough. You need to move faster if you're going to hit me.

Cordelia: *she pants as she growls at him* Shuttup you! I'm plenty fast enough to roast your stupid feathers! *she leaps into the air aims her palm at him from above, charging hellfire into her hand. She widens her eyes in surprise as Zephyr vanishes and appears once again, in front of her this time instead of behind. As she watches, he takes one hand out of his pockets and gently grabs her wrist, his expression not changing*

Zephyr: Stop. Your rage is not helping you. True, it's giving you more explosive strength with your flames. However, when you're fighting me that rage is the bane of your existence. You must remain calm or I will be able to predict your every move. *he lets go of her wrist and floats backwards a few feet, putting his hand back into his pocket* Try again but this time, take a deep breath first.

Cordelia: *she growls but swallows her pride, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath as she was told, opening her eyes again and widening them in surprise. Zephyr had black mist releasing energy into the air and she was completely deaf. She couldn't hear anything and the only thing in front of her was Zephyr. Soon enough, he disappeared too and didn't move this time*

Zephyr: *his eye seems to sparkle with a bit of pride as he floats slowly to Cordelia's side, quickly being met with a swipe that he had to backpedal away from* Very good! Now then....how about a little game? *he floats up above her and looks down at her* Let's play tag. If I can fly around the city three times, you lose. But if you touch me, I do. Sound fair?

Cordelia: *she makes her sword vanish as her wings grow slightly larger, narrowing her eyes at him* ....What's your game bird brain?

Zephyr: *he chuckles* I would've thought that that was obvious. I'm having quite a bit of fun with you is all. I've been locked up in that tomb of mine for a long time....I haven't had much time to stretch my wings.

Cordelia: *she sighs loudly soars up to his level, crossing her arms* Hurry up then....

Zephyr: *he suddenly vanishes, reappearing a few moments later flying along the castle walls with his body aligned parallel to it*

Cordelia: *she flies off after him, only managing to keep up about five feet behind him as she flies after him*

Lily: *she smiles at the two of them, smiling at Wyald* What now Mr. Monkey? Do you want us to chase him down and kill him?

~Ezekiel's Home~

Mary: *she nods and walks off in the opposite direction as storm clouds begin to gather over the top of their farmhouse, her guisarme held tightly in her hand and her face serious. They were ready for any opposition now....and she wasn't about to just let Ezekiel get taken away from her without a serious fight*

~Jotunheim, a few miles away~

Krow: *she looks up as she hears thunderclouds rolling in, narrowing her eyes at it* Well now....that's certainly odd. *she looks over at Eliazal* Are you getting anything Eliazal? Those bugs of yours have been at this for a little while now.

Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals

Post by Zazul 3/7/2016, 3:09 pm

Nigel: *he had indeed gone even whiter, especially after hearing what had happened to York and that Khan had appeared* Khan...Khan Loyce has been watching you?...I see...

Dire: *he looks to Cameron and Nom, his eyes seeming to scan them as if to size them up*

Nigel: *he clears his throat and adjusts his hat as he rights himself* Thank you for your honesty, Cameron. Your information has given new light on things that I've been trying to uncover for a very long time. I believe that the four of us, the Null Contractors, that is, have a common enemy in Khan.

Argyle: ...*he thinks back on the dream he had, about Groff Dark and how Khan and Semyaza had been "stealing" Null from him* ....

Nigel: Ser Argyle? Is something on your mind?

Argyle: *he looks up at Nigel, snapping out of his thoughts* Its nothing...Just thinking about a dream I had...

Nigel: Very well...We will be arriving to the Port of Ebiss, five miles from Silvenhiem in three days time. Rest for now, and collect yourselves. You are guests aboard my fleet. Make yourselves at home.

Lucas: Thank you, Commander Nigel. You're a saving grace from the gods themselves for rescuing us from that village.

Sol: I will die a happy man if I NEVER have to even see another eel or squid or any type of sea creature again!

Sailor: *one of the sailors walks onto deck with a large net full of various fish, crustaceans, and other sea life* WE CAUGHT DINNER! COD, LOBSTER, CRAB, TUNA, AND SALT WATER EELS!

Sol: ....*his face goes green as he rushes to the side of the ship and hangs over the side, his lunch becoming one with the sea*

Zigg: Draconan...I knew an Apostle by that name back when I was a member of the Dragon Cult...probably your grandfather's father, the last guy that held Chimera's soul....I'll tell ya, Chimera was always the problem child of the Elder Dragons, even Hydra and Behemoth had trouble reigning him in if he got pissed. The fact that his Apex Soul dwells within you is both a blessing and a curse...you realize that, right? Even if Chimera's physical body dies, he can still come back if they use you. Though, I'm in the same boat you are, right? *he smirks to Karn, then places a friendly hand on his shoulder* You're secrets safe with me, Jimbo. Since the name "James" is already taken in my little friend circle, I'll just call you Karn around your friends, and Jimbo if we're alone, so I don't confuse you with the Commander over yonder.~

~Grimoire's Bastion~

Grom: *a small smile starts to form on his face* The resolve to kill a friend because you believe it is for a greater good...such emotion truly would breed a powerful malice, that could be channeled into an impressive display of Malice Manipulation...Knowing this now, I believe His Majesty may have underestimated you in your potential for the art...I will have a talk with mother about your lessons, Inquisitor. If anything, as a warrior, I wish to see you blossom into a powerful force. I am driven by my lust for battle and my love of combat, and the prospect of one such as you entices feelings of vitality and focus! Become strong, Inquisitor, so that I may watch you become a powerful ally, hopefully soon. As for your friend, the Azure Swordsman...I looked over the battle report...You realize how lucky Krow is that Argyle hadn't gotten the chance to attack her, correct? I have felt both of their blows...And delivered blows to both of them as well. If the Azure Swordsman had gotten the chance to charge Krow...I doubt you and I would be having this conversation if he had. Do you believe she is aware of this?

~Silvenheim~

Wyald: *he narrows his eyes at Zephyr as he watches the game of tag* I don't know...Ember's army seemed pretty eager to get even with her after she turned on the Demons, especially after Legion bolstered them...Only one who didn't show was that Demon Knight of her's...

Dolph: Still, we should at least hear him out. He has not become hostile yet...

Shagga: For once, I agree. Lets see how this goes. If he tries anything, Belwas knows the radius of his ability. He won't be able to get out of one of those bubbles.

Belwas: Lets just hope it doesn't come to that...Zephyr may specialize on single combat, but he's no pushover. He only died because he was distracted with Shagga and Dolph saw an opportunity.

Dolph: Its not something I'm proud to admit, but Ser Belwas speaks the truth...Zephyr is indeed a powerful foe...

Wyald: And the kid is a powerful Demon Hunter! She's just a little...unrefined...

Kai: Well, she did only just start out...

Ivar: Still, her progress has been astounding. She not only can control her Soul Sight, but she can also control her Devil's Arm as well.

~Jotunheim~

Eliazar: *he stands before the wall of mist in front of him, his eyes closed as he psychically controls his insects, who were buzzing around the mists as the Half-Dragon corps distracted Ezekiel with a barrage* Mists....Demon...in....origin.

Argon: So he is here!

Eliazar: *he opens his eyes and drops onto all fours, his throat bulging as he expels another, large egg. When it hatches, a large gray snail with a shell that appears to be made of silver coral hatches forth, the creature shrieking as it springs to life* This....eats....energy....will....eat....mists.... *the snail slinks forward and begins sucking in the mists like a vacuum, the white vapor disappearing as the snail consumes it*

Ezekiel: *he feels his mists fading and turns around, looking right in Krow Squad's direction* I see...the Half-Dragons were a ploy...*he holds out his hand, energy forming on it as he grabs his shawl and rips off the garbs he had on, his body flashing with blue energy as he is suddenly garbed in a long, black waistcoat, the fastenings completely closed all along his chest, concealing his shirt completely beneath the coat. He wore a pair of simple black cloth pants and a pair of tipped, black iron grieves. He holds his hand out and a black, triangle hat appears, placing it on the head so that it points wherever he looks. He runs his thumb on the brim as he reaches back, a black stone buckler forming in his hand as he points it forward. The air seems to glow blue and collect on the buckler, two large blades suddenly growing out of the top and bottom of the buckler. The blades grow and curve back as a second buckler appears on the other side, the two bucklers together forming a vast bow in Ezekiel's hand. He then points the bow forward and draws his hand back, a blue thread of energy forming from either tip as a large ice arrow begins to form between the bucklers. A crosshairs of blue energy appear near his eye, allowing him to aim with precision* I won't give them the chance...*he then releases, the vast ice arrow sailing at blinding speeds right at Krow's head*

Pike: *his eyes suddenly focus as he watches the mists, seeing a faint glint flying at them* BIG GUY! COVER!

Tonpetty: *he immediately pushes Pike, Argon, Eliazar, and Krow back before slamming his fists into the ground, a large wall of obsidian suddenly forming as the ice arrow crashes into it, sticking in the wall as the tip pierces through it* NIFELHEIM'S BEARD!

Argon: I think its sufficient to say that Ezekiel knows we're coming...

Eliazar: *he immediately drops down and begins expelling more eggs, three more snails coming out and joining their sibling in its feast* Will...make....more...

Tonpetty: I will try to protect Eliazar and the rest of us from Ezekiel's range!

Pike: Hey, Tonpetty, got any good combo ideas that Doc gave you?

Argon: Combo ideas?

Pike: Yeah, Beelzebub said Tonpetty and I both have a great amount of combination versatility, both with each other and the other members of the group.

Tonpetty: Hmmm....*he smashes his hands together and pulls them apart, creating what seems to be a cylinder of obsidian. As he molds it and kneads it, it begins to take the shape of an Eastern Musket from the Mortal World. He then offers it to Krow* My Obsidian is capable of conducting Demon Fire. Perhaps you can use your Demon Fire Manipulation with this for more effective Long-Range tactics, Commander?

Ezekiel: *he watches the other snails start forming up and a disgusted look forms on his face* Avalon beasts...Seems like somebody stole something from the Dragons...*he looks over to Mary* MY LOVE, I THINK THE WEATHER IS ABOUT TO TAKE A TURN FOR THE WORST! I PREDICT HAIL...AND LOTS OF IT! *he gestures with his bow, as if it signal to her*

Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals

Post by ShadowFantasy 3/7/2016, 7:57 pm

~Aboard Nigel's Vessel~

Loria: *she sighs and leans back into Argyle's arms, looking up at him and nosing his cheek* Let's go find a room below deck to rest in. My body's starting to get cold up here out in the open....

Karn: *he sighs, his face still serious as he responds to Zigg, his eyes looking out towards the sea* Whatever you wish to call me Ser Zigg, you may. But I believe if you find my twin brother alive as you say, then I fear that my past may finally catch up to me....Gods have mercy on me if he is truly alive....

~Grimoire's Bastion~

Frost: *he nods* Argyle is very strong Grom. I believe that if Krow had continued fighting as she did, she most likely would have met her defeat at his hands. But that, I believe, is only because she had to abandon our fight in order to help her comrades. *he looks at him now, his eyes serious* She is an admirable commander for the Half-Mortal's. I believe that whatever path she chooses from now on, regardless of its outcome, her comrade's will follow her to the bitter end. I know that if I were in her squad and she chose to save me over finishing her own fight, I would follow her. I can see what Lord Nifelheim sees in her.

~Silvenheim~

Zephyr: *he continues to fly around the city, having completed his first lap with Cordelia still trailing behind him*

Cordelia: *her wings are as large as small buildings by now, her rage having made them increase in size from her frustration and inability to catch Zephyr* Damn you! HOLD STILL!!

Catia: *her white form is soaring alongside her other self, looking to her now as they fly into the second half of the second lap around the city* Cordelia I don't think we're fast enough to catch him!

Cordelia: *she growls and glares at her other soul* I know that idiot! What should we do? I'm not just going to take this without putting up a fight!

Catia: *she gets an idea and looks at Cordelia seriously* Switch with me! I'm going to shoot him down!

Cordelia: *she frowns but slowly it turns into a smirk as she remembers that Catia was most definitely the ace shot between the two of them. While Cordelia was amazing with close range combat, Catia excelled at fighting at mid to long range with her spell casting. She nods and the two swap souls, the girls body changing its hair color back to a beautiful blonde and her eyes returning to their lovely blue as Cordelia's flaming soul can now be seen soaring alongside Catia, the girls angelic wings reappearing as Cordelia's flames flicker out*

Catia: *her face turns serious as she suddenly spreads out her wings, coming to a complete stop as she lets her Devil's Arm come into her hand. This time however, she grabs it by the loop on the hilt and taps the middle of the blade. The weapon responds with a brief spark of light before it suddenly splits apart, the blade pieces moving apart and connecting themselves with sparking white energy that crackled like electricity. The hilt splits itself apart into a longer grip as the blade pieces slide to either side of the handle, the loop of string on the end of the weapon now becoming a large bow string. The entire bow glows white and shines as four swords made of light form along either side of the bow grip. Catia's eyes begin to glow white as she pulls back on the string of the bow, a large, unstable beam of energy forming in a line like a crooked arrow made of what could only be described as a white lightning arrow. Her face grows serious as she quickly takes aim at Zephyr as he moves to finish his second lap. She narrows her eyes as a spell seal appears in front of the bow as she aims, the angelic girl smiling as she releases the string on the bow. The arrow suddenly rockets out of Catia's weapon and impacts the spot where Zephyr was headed*

Zephyr: *his eye widens as he sees the arrow coming, stopping immediately and kicking sideways off of the castle wall as the arrow hits the wall in front of him and blows a clean hole into it. As he starts to move again he looks up and immediately widens his eyes again as he sees not one, but four arrows now rocketing towards him. He narrows his eye and black mist begins to come off of his entire body as his speed suddenly increases, allowing him to easily soar out of the smoke of the new arrows' explosions to go around for the third lap*

Catia: *she doesn't flinch as she continues to concentrate, pulling back on the bowstring again and firing farther ahead of Zephyr this time before her fingers split apart slightly when she pulls back for her second shot. No more than four arrows nock onto the string of her bow as she turns her bow sideways and assumes a different stance from before*

Lily: *she whistles as she watches Catia fire her bow, grinning at Dolph* Wow she's a pretty good archer for a little kid eh Dolph?

Catia: *she lets the bowstring loose and the four arrows rocket from her bow as she closes her eyes briefly as she spins around in place in the air, pulling back on her bowstring again as she nocks four more arrows and fires them in the same fashion as before at Zephyr's location. This time however, the arrows' trajectories curved in mid-flight to fly further ahead of Zephyr's location and chase him a little*

Zephyr: *he spins and darts along the castle wall as the arrows fly at him, seeing his goal in sight. But just as he's about to slow down and kick off of the wall to fly back up to Catia, he grunts as one arrow finally hits him in the back. The arrow sends him careening into the wall as the rubble collapses on top of him*

Lily: *her face quickly turns to one of utter astonishment* She....She got him! I can't believe the kid really nailed him with one of her arrows when he was flying that fast!

Catia: *she suddenly begins to grin and flaps her wings, flying in a quick loop as she cheers out of excitement* I can't believe I did it! Did you see me Cordelia?! I actually got him! I hit him! *she continues to laugh and giggle in excitement as Cordelia's flaming form huffs next to her, clearly irritated that her other half was able to do what she'd been trying to do for the past half hour*

Zephyr: *a small burst of black spikes erupt from where Zephyr landed and he emerges from the rubble, his back smoking from the arrow that hit him in the back. He crouches down and sighs as Catia puts her bow away and starts to fly down to him* That really hurt.... *he chuckles as Catia lights down in front of him, giggling and smiling* Well done kid....I didn't think you would actually be able to hit me.... *he stands up with a grunt and pats her on the head, a spark of pride in his eye* You did good kid. Now c'mon, we should probably stop playing games and let your friends take me in....

Catia: *she nods and grabs his arm lightly with her hands, smiling up at him as she flits her wings* Do you need help walking? I hit you kinda hard....

Zephyr: *he chuckles again and lets Catia put his arm around her neck to help him walk* Yeah....that really hurt....

Catia: *she giggles as the two begin to slowly walk back to the group* I'm sorry hehe....I just really wanted to hit you.... *she smiles more gently as her eyes start to glimmer with happiness* It....It made me feel really accomplished....

~Jotunheim~

Krow: *she shakes her head to clear away some of her dizziness as she sees the storm beginning to kick up, huffing as she stands up and brushes herself off* I'm not much of a ranged weapon person but I'm more than capable of providing cover fire for you as you rush in. *she takes the musket, eyeballing the strange weapon before aiming down its sight and forming a practice spell seal on the end of it, letting the seal disappear before she holds the weapon with the barrel pointing down. She looks to Eliazal* Keep making those bugs of yours. One in particular I want you to use; the one you sent into the ground at the arena when you were fighting me. *she looks to Tonpetty and Pike* You two, I want you to use your abilities to help me get in close. I sense something fishy here.... *she looks up at the gathering storm clouds, smelling a change in the weather and narrowing her eyes* He's not alone....this storm is being manipulated by another person. *he looks to Argon* I want you to come with me to find that person and take them down. As soon as we find them I'll distract them while you find a way to make them drowsy or even paralyze them temporarily. If you can do that I can use my curse to set them against Ezekiel. *she smirks as she kneels down to let Argon climb onto her back* This fight isn't impossible but right now they have every advantage against us. The more of those advantages we take away the easier this will be for us.

Mary: *she's on top of the roof as her eyes continue to glow with her Sorcery, the clouds above beginning to gather for a large-scale hailstorm. She looks to Ezekiel and smiles, nodding to him* WHENEVER YOU'RE READY HONEY! GIVE ME SOME TOYS TO PLAY WITH! *she yells back to him, ready to make the skies rain large chunks of hail and slush to prevent any demon that isn't skilled with flying on their wings from controlling the skies above their heads*

Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals

~Nigel's Vessel~

Argyle: *he smiles and nods, picking Loria up and holding her close as he looks to Cameron and inclines with his head* Come on, Cameron. Lets go below deck. Its high time the three of us spent some time together...as a family. *he then looks to Nigel and nods to him respectfully* Commander Nigel, you have our utmost gratitude.

Nigel: Think nothing of it, Ser Argyle. My pleasure. *he then smiles at Argyle, his eyes lingering before turning around and yelling orders to his men* HEAVE TO, YOU DEAF-HANDED DECK APES! FULL SPEED! WE MAKE FOR SILVENHEIM!

Zigg: Well, I just know that you got a lot of good friends here, Karn. I don't think they're gonna let anything happen to you. I can already tell from how everyone acts around each other...You guys are all close. That's good. The previous King's Knights went off on their own a lot, save for Eddard and Mary. Those two were stuck at the hip ever since the Battle of Talnar. Yeah, Garlith lost, but the Demons learned that day too that Eddard and Mary would one day become threats...And now, they probably know that one day, you four will become threats that are just as big, if not bigger! Trust me, one vengeful Apex Soul Dragon Apostle may be a monster in battle, but I bet these guys would help you fight, if you asked them.

~Grimoire's Bastion~

Grom: Hmmmmm...*he muses over Frosts words* Yes. You've inspired me, Inquisitor. I will have a word with Mother, and then I will speak to His Majesty...upon Krow's return, I will face her will all my might, and while I will not kill her, I will crush her mercilessly. However, I do not do this out of spite or cruelty. For I will break down the child that is Krow, and from the rubble, she will rise as a colossus! And as for you, you will have your Malice Manipulation...a dead Elder Dragon means less trouble from Avalon. Kill an Apex Soul, and you kill an Elder Dragon's only means of coming back should its Dragon body be killed...And that itself is a boon for us as well as the Mortals...

~Silvenheim~

Dolph: *he chuckles in agreement* Indeed! A true prodigy in the art of marksmanship!

Wyald: OOOOOOOKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKI! NICE SHOOTING, KID! I KNEW YOU HAD POTENTIAL! EAT IT, HELL-TURD!

Belwas: That's enough, Wyald. Now...If Zephyr truly is a Demon of his word, then we should have nothing to fear...but everyone be on guard, just in case.

~Jotunheim~

Eliazar: *he nods to Krow, smiling as he then drops on all fours and begins wretching again, this time spitting out another Ash Spider egg. The egg hatches and the spider squeals as it grow to the size of an ox, letting out a deep clicking as it looks around then looks to Eliazar, who snarls at it. The spider screeches and burrows down into the ground, Eliazar connecting to it psychically as he feels out the aura in the area.* Two....Man....Gelgeth....and....a woman.....

Tonpetty: *he grabs the wall and bends the wall of obsidian, forcing the curve to give the group some cover from the hail and slush* I think I know how we can get there...but I need a little time.

Pike: *he looks to Eliazar and nods* I can remotely control these iron balls...and you can spit out bugs...wanna try something?

Eliazar: Long...range...

Pike: My thoughts exactly!~ *he smiles as he starts spinning the iron balls in his hands, the metal turning red hot as it increases velocity*

Eliazar: *he wretches and begins spitting out various different eggs, all hatching into large, horrible, ground-based insects with hard shells*

Pike: *he hurls the balls out into the air as his aura suddenly flares* See, Doc Beelzebub said I had something about my makeup...apparently, with the proper Avalonian tweaking thanks to some stuff he got from the Vampyres, my Sorcery split into three branches! My first branch Sorcery, Scout! My vision is linked to the iron balls and with Trajectory, I can now control them perfectly! Lets go get'em, E!

Eliazar: *he lets out a slight chuckle at the pet name before snarling at the insects, all of them screeching and running over the snails and through the openings in the mists that they made, Pike's iron balls flying around them to help protect them from the hail as they charged at Ezekiel's home*

Ezekiel: *he pulls back on the bow and scowls, looking at each insect as it approaches* Avalonian insects?! *he fires off multiple rapid shots, the ice arrows flying and shattering against the insects' rough exoskeletons. However, after a while, one of them finally fell as Pike's iron balls suddenly flew right past them at Ezekiel. The Gelgeth saw the orbs of metal flying at him and immediately erects a wall of ice that suddenly catches them mid-air. He then growls deep and steps back* Now you'll regret that...*he points the bow into the sky and smiles* HERE'S YOUR TOYS, HONEY! *he charges a large, cold, immensely powerful arrow onto his bow, the weapon creaking under the pressure of the attack. He then fires off into the air, the arrow flying into the sky and mixing his Demon Ice with her hail, the clouds suddenly turning darker as a blue glow begins to rise from within the storm* Low do ye who fear the cold and rage of the storm stand before us...now weep, as the heavens rain a thousand titanic blows upon you...abandon all hope, oh ye who face this cataclysm we have wrought...

*suddenly, the glowing opens the sky as the clouds break, revealing meteors of ice larger than even some castles. The massive ice boulders glowed with a deep, intense cold that seemed as harsh and unforgiving as Demon Fire*

Pike: Oh boy...that does NOT look good!

Tonpetty: *he grins and slams his fists into the ground, a large umbrella-like column of Obsidian suddenly erupting from the ground  and growing thicker and thicker by the moment* Commander, it would seem we're pinned! Those hail orbs...I've seen images in crystals of castles SMALLER than some of those things!

Argon: *he looks at the gun of obsidian in Krow's hands, his mind working as he looks to Tonpetty then* Can you make one of those and mount it on your arm?

Tonpetty: I could, yes...do you have a plan?

Eliazar: *he growls as he feels the last insect get crushed by the storm outside* Too...much....hail...

Argon: My plan will deal with that problem, Eliazar...Tonpetty, make a gun on your shoulder, but make a large enough chamber for me to fit completely in and then condense it when I'm inside, okay?

Tonpetty: *he nods, doing as Argon asks and forming a vast cannon on his shoulder, a large chamber in the back that seems to be capable of expanding and compressing*

Argon: *he flies into the cannon, collecting his entire gaseous form inside the chamber* Now!

Tonpetty: *he condenses the chamber, and suddenly feels pressure building*

Argon: *inside the cannon, he was creating more and more gas and condensing it within the small space, forming an even denser and more powerful form of the blasts he was using against Loria* Once this full charges...Aim for the sky and sweep it across the clouds! We'll end the hail storm so we can all charge!

Tonpetty: *he smiles as he points the cannon at the clouds* I like it, Argon! What shall we call this combination?!

Argon: A name? Hmmm....How about...Juggernaut Eraser?

Tonpetty: Excellent! *he feels the energy begin to amass in larger volume within the chamber. As more energy builds, the chamber expands like a balloon. Soon enough, Argon floats out from the barrel, a small string of gas connecting him to the large bubble of condensed neon inside the chamber. Argon taps, Tonpetty's shoulder, signaling him to fire* JUGGERNAUT ERASER! *he fires roars, Argon releasing his hold on the gas as Tonpetty forces the chamber to contract, the result being a vast beam of heat and energy firing out from the cannon and rocketing into the sky, cutting the entire storm in half as Tonpetty roars and swings the cannon across the sky.*

Ezekiel: *he watches as the blast cuts the clouds, his mouth agape at the display* By the Nameless One...what was that!?

Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals

Post by ShadowFantasy 3/10/2016, 2:31 pm

~Nigel's Vessel~

Cameron: *she nods and happily follows Argyle as he leaves, giving a quick bow to Nigel before she does so*

Karn: *he sighs as he turns to leave for below deck, eager to rest himself* For our sake's Ser Zigg, I hope you're right....

Terran: *he walks over to Nigel and clears his throat audibly to get his attention after he'd finished giving his orders to his men* Commander Nigel, while I hate being completely serious when the situation doesn't need the extra tension, I feel I have something rather important to tell you. *he takes a deep breath and keeps his face straight as he speaks* Our comrade, Frost the Grand Inquisitor of Myrr, was captured during the demon ambush upon our arrival here at the wharf. We currently do not know his whereabouts either....

~Grimoire's Bastion~

Frost: *he smirks internally as he hears Grom's resolve, pleased that his talk with Grom had gone exactly as he'd intended. He nods to his words as the two reach the end of their walk together* Then allow me to do the favor of nursing her wounds once you are finished with her. I don't think she would want anyone else to take care of her after you're through with her. If I know her as well as I think I do, she will require time to regain her pride after your encounter. *he smirks at him* You needn't worry about me either. As I've said, I have no intention of betraying you or leaving....not just yet....

~Silvenheim~

Catia: *she laughs and giggles as she and Zephyr return to the group, Catia gently helping Zephyr sit down when he motions for her to do so. She grins at Wyald* I did it Uncle Wyald! I got him!

Zehpyr: *he chuckles and pats Catia on the head* Indeed you did....very well done young one. *he looks to the other Brave Companions and sits back, relaxing* I apologize if I seemed hostile coming here so suddenly. I'm unsure of where Dis is at the moment and the only lead I have right now is my old commander, the Princess. *he looks to Catia* I hope you don't mind me sitting here for a while longer....You tired me out quite a bit more than I thought that you would.

Catia: *she smiles and shakes her head* It's not a problem. I appreciate the experience.

Lily: *she clears her throat loudly as things start to settle down, grinning at Zephyr* Well, now that that mess is all over with, perhaps you could explain something to me that I'd been wondering about since mister Zephyr here had mentioned it in the first place. Who exactly is Xytos and why does Catia remind you of him?

Zephyr: *he sighs and closes his eyes briefly before he addresses everyone* Xytos was the burning hellfire Knight of Ember's battalion and most likely one of the most gentle natured demons I had ever met. He was also a master of a very peculiar kind of hellfire art that utilized a liquefied form of hellfire to coat his own body and weapon with. He was also capable of using said skills to drench his opponents, simultaneously taking away the oxygen in the air around them and burning their bodies to a melted and charred corpse. *he sighs as he glances at Catia* Your other half there with the flaming wings reminds me of him....he was unique because he too could fly on wings made of his own hellfire.

Cordelia: *she narrows her eyes as she listens to the explanation, clearly in thought*

Catia: *she seems amazed but at the same time, confused by Zephyr's words as she looks at Cordelia's floating, flaming form* Cordelia....why did the name Xytos make you act so strangely? I know that you're aggressive but....that was a different kind of aggression from you that I've never seen before....

Cordelia: *she sighs as she keeps staring into space, clearly still in thought* It's the first name that I remember from the day we were born Catia....It's fuzzy, but I remember a woman's voice saying that name....

Catia: *she blinks at her as her mind slowly starts to whirl with what Cordelia might be trying to tell her* But....our parents died in a dragon raid years ago Cordelia....how could you have heard a woman's voice saying a demon's name? Our parents didn't even know what a demon was as far as I know....

Cordelia: *she shakes her head and narrows her pure white eyes at her other self* You're missing the point Catia....There's only one way that we could've heard a woman's voice saying a demon's name the day we were born.... *she sighs as she continues* We aren't myrrian in the first place....we didn't have myrrian parents and Kiria isn't our real sister....we're a true half-demon born of a mortal mother and a demon father....and I believe that Xytos is our real father....

Catia: *her eyes go wide as her heart skips a beat at Cordelia's words* Wh-What....N-No....Th-That's not possible....H-He can't be....He couldn't be our father!

~Jotunheim~

Krow: *she stares in awe of her squad's teamwork attacks and smirks at them, standing up as her wings appear and unfold from her back from the tattoo's on her body* Well now....I do believe that takes care of our weather problem quite nicely! *she puts the obsidian musket on the back of her hip and pats Eliazal on the head before nodding to the others* Let us go with your plan then! I shall lead the charge! Remember, the woman is mine! *her eyes glow with the black flecks of her Sorcery as her body starts to shift in place, giving a large flap of her wings and soaring up into the sky before diving straight into what remained of the mist as the clouds above her head struggled to return to their previous state*

Mary: *she widens her eyes as she shakes her head and yells back to Ezekiel* No....They blew my clouds away! *she stops and her eyes widen as she spots a large fireball of hellfire flying towards her* INCOMING!! *she yells as the fireball impacts the roof next to her and blasts it, sending her flying off of the roof of their home as she hits the ground with a thud. She rolls on the ground on impact, her ears ringing as she coughs from hitting the ground so hard*

Krow: *she lights down onto the burning building that she'd just hit with the fireball, her scarlet eyes gleaming in the light of the flames as she smiles at Mary and Ezekiel* Well well....we meet at last....Ezekiel the traitor~

Mary: *thunderclouds boom overhead as they slowly begin to collect again, Mary slowly standing up as she readies her spear and moves in front of Ezekiel. She glares at Krow, defiance clear in her eyes* If you think....that cheap excuse for an attack will stop me from protecting my husband....you're sorely mistaken!

Krow: *her form shifts and shimmers like heat waves as a black mist starts to seep in around the surrounding area* I wondered who you were dear~ Well now, that's going to make this much more interesting than I thought! *black fireballs form in the air on either side of her head as she lets them fly at Mary*

Mary: *she gives a quick spin of her spear and a thrust of her palm as a large gust of wind hits the fireballs and blows them apart, diverting their collective energy around her and Ezekiel as she glances back at him* I'll take this one honey. Deal with her friends! *she crouches before she suddenly disappears and howls with the wind towards Krow's location, the two clashing weapons as Krow reacts in time to move Tonpetty's weapon in front of the strike that'd come from Mary*

Krow: *she smirks as she narrows her eyes at Mary, the two grinding weapons in a fierce power struggle* My my! So quick to run into death! *she tells her as her body suddenly disappears into thin air and a kick hits Mary in the back, Krow standing behind her with her form still shifting and shimmering*

Mary: *she uses the momentum from being hit to do a quick handspring motion and recover before spinning her weapon above her head, swiping it at the air in front of her near the ground. The result is a small tornado being formed that takes Krow by surprise and flings her into the air. Without wasting a second, Mary focuses her aura into her legs and gives a great leap into the air before charging a large ball of wind energy onto the end of her guisarme. In the next motion she gives a cry and swings the attack over her head, the ball of concentrated wind energy slamming Krow into the ground and forming a small crater*

Krow: *she coughs as she hits the ground before spinning sideways just in time to avoid Mary's next attack, her guisarme stabbing into the ground where she'd been. She growls at her but her next attack is cut short as Mary slides along the ground and gives Krow another kick in her side. As Krow recovers from this attack, she's forced to form her Devil's Arm and block another swing from her guisarme, gritting her teeth as the two enter another power struggle* She's so much faster than anything I've faced so far! Just who the hell is this woman?!

Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals

Post by Zazul 3/17/2016, 12:54 am

~Nigel's Vessel~

Nigel: *his face hardens when he hears of Frost's capture* The Grand Inquisitor himself has been taken? This is not good...If it was Demons who took him, guaranteed he's either imprisoned by Baal, the Demon Warden, or King Nifelhiem himself is hold him..A rescue mission is imperative, however we must be cautious. King Nifelheim is not an enemy to be taken lightly...Rest assured, Ser Terran, I will do everything in my power to bring Ser Frost home. I have my ways of getting behind enemy lines...I will send my best men to retrieve the Grand Inquisitor once we make landfall. For now, I need to formulate a new stratagem. Not only do we have whatever that creature from earlier to deal with, but now we must coordinate for our campaign in Jotunheim, as well as the rescue mission for Ser Frost. Is there anything else that you wished to tell me? Anything at all?

~Grimoire's Bastion, Nifelheim's chambers~

Nifelheim: *the Demon King stands before a vast wall of crystal, the images of Mephistopheles and at least a dozen other Demons all standing before him as their King spoke* Soon we shall unleash the Half-Demon army upon Jotunheim and reduce it to rubble. Even now, Commander Krow stalks the traitor, Ezekiel, as Cornelia returns from the Avalon Warfront with more of her Half-Dragon corps! And, of course, The Balrog stands ready to command this vast army! Soon, Jotunheim will be ashes! However...it all seems so...boring. I want something interesting, Ladies and Gentlemen! Something...electrifying! Something to set my black soul ablaze!

Mephistopheles: *his image shimmers as he speaks* Perhaps a contest, my liege? Between the two Half-Mortal Commanders? Winner commands all Half-Mortals, perhaps?

Nifelheim: Hmmm...Finn vs. Krow...no. Those two, while definitely rivals from what I observed, would never go for the kill...Finn is strong, but Krow is of a different pedigree...She deserves only the strongest...

*suddenly, the doors to King Nifelheim's chamber swing open, Grom striding in calmly*

Grom: Pardon the interruption, My King...But I couldn't help overhearing your conversation. Its subject matter happens to align itself with a request of mine, actually...

Nifelheim: *an intrigued smirk forms on the Demon King's face as he turns and eyes Grom* I see...and what is your request, dear Grandson?

Grom: I request a duel with Commander Krow. And I request that I be allowed to use my full power against her.

Nifelheim: *he raises an eyebrow at Grom's request, intrigued and wary at the same time* And why would I allow this? Krow is one of my favorite subjects, as are you. I don't need you two killing each other...

Grom: I do not wish to kill her, My King...only to let her sample defeat for the first time.

Nifelheim: *his face hardens* Explain.

Grom: Commander Krow has never known defeat. Even our first duel was halted by Mother before a winner could be judged. While this is a testament to her power, it is also a major weakness. She may become foolhardy, prideful, even reckless if not tempered. Allow me to give her a taste of real defeat, and it will teach her the value of humility and temperance in combat and in command. I only seek to build her up as a Commander and Half-Demon...

Nifelheim: *his expression softens into a grin of utter delight, his eyes lighting with fire as he listens to Grom* Yes...However, Grom, I will sweeten the deal. As you said, no clear winner was decided...and so that means we do not know if you can beat her as you say, correct?

Grom: *he nods, but his expression remains hard* That would be a correct assessment...

Nifelheim: I propose a wager! On the grandest stage in Dis, the Grimoire Arena, Grom the Balrog will face Krow the Half-Mortal in no-holds-barred combat! Winner take all!

Grom: All, sire?

Nifelheim: The winner of the duel....Will lead the Half-Demon Army in the Jotunheim campaign in its entirety! Her chance at glory against your own! A fair wager, is it not?

Grom: *at first, his face remains dark. Then, as he looks up, a fire seems to shine in The Balrog's eyes, a grin forming on his face as he stands before Nifelheim, his aura beginning to smolder around him* It is more than fair, My King. It is perfect. To face Commander Krow with all my might, with the stakes higher than ever before...such a thrilling challenge is all I want!

Nifelhiem: Then you shall have your duel! *he turns around to the group of images behind him* WELL THEN, WE HAVE OUR ENTERTAINMENT! THIS CALLS FOR A CELEBRATION! Mephistopheles, send word to Nifelheim City...Its high time the third of my Council of Dark Sciences join us...Tell Viper he's being called, for I will have need of his talents in the coming war....Tell him....Giant is our subject of this campaign.

Mephistopheles: It will be done, My Liege. *he then looks to a soldier outside the image and nods to him, telling the soldier to retrieve Viper*

~Silvenheim~

Wyald: Xytos...Now that I look at ya, I kinda see the resemblance...but still, to think that you might be related to the Knight of the Burning Loch...

Belwas: Wyald, you're not being crazy...You only get serious if you're contemplating something serious...

Wyald: Out of all of Embers old soldiers, the only one that didn't show up at the final fight was Xytos. He disappeared...but he didn't return to Dis, otherwise we would have seen him by now, seeing as he and Zephyr here were Ember's closest in her old army.

Forcestus: *he looks to Zephyr, cocking his head to him as he would to Ember*

Dolph: Ah, good thinking, stout fellow! Zephyr, is Xytos still loyal to Nifelheim?

~Jotunheim~

Ezekiel: *he squints at Krow, getting a good look at her and snarling slightly as he leaps back, knocking an icy arrow on his bow and taking aim at Krow as she fights Mary* Same eyes, same chin, same hair....I'd wager you're one of Nifelheim's bastards. I remember Irituum devising a plan to mass-breed Half-Demons like Alistair, but I didn't think Nifelheim would listen to that mad dog...much less actually make a Half-Demon of his own....*he fires the arrow, only to have it intercepted by an Iron Ball that knocks it out of the air.*

Pike: *Suddenly, Pike soars down at breakneck speeds, a grin on his face as he opens his cloak, revealing even more Iron Balls on holsters strung all throughout the cloak. He lets out six of them, allowing them to orbit around him like satellites as he thrusts his hands forward and they all fly right at Ezekiel. *he then moves his right hand to one side and his left to the other, the balls splitting into two group and looking around Ezekiel before flying at him from all sides*

Ezekiel: *he growls and leaps upwards, dodging the balls barely as he holds onto his hat and glances around for Pike. Suddenly, the balls stop mid-air and fly directly up, catching Ezekiel and laying into him and then looping back around, keeping up a hellish barrage of blows from below the juggle Ezekiel in the air. The Gelgeth roars, letting out a vast wave of ice that freezes everything around him, stopping the balls mid-air and forcing them to the ground as he lands and pants hard from the rain of blows. He could feel the welts forming...the Half-Demon had only hit him with blunt force...but why?*

Tonpetty: *His question was answered when a sudden huge mass crashes into Ezekiel's house, demolishing it to rubble as Tonpetty suddenly charges through. All around him is a vast shell of Obsidian shaped like a battle wagon, a huge set of obsidian blades in the front that curved up like a shovel so as to gore and destroy whatever had the unfortunate pleasure of being in front of it. On one side was a large, mounted version of the gun Tonpetty had used with Argon, the small Half-Demon standing behind it as his feet where held in place by obsidian belts. On the very back is a seat ideal for Pike, with multiple slots for him to slide his iron balls into so he could control where they would go throughout the wagon in order to provide supplemental power through Tonpetty's Awakened Sorcery. To the other side of the wagon was a large launcher with a huge mouth piece on it, the tube connecting the piece to the launcher made of the same expanding obsidian used in Argon's cannon. Eliazar had is mouth glued to it and his eyes were wide with ecstasy and bloodlust, clearly elated by the device that Argon and Tonpetty had made up for him. Finally, at the very back was a large Hellfire Cannon with a comfortable, command-like seat for Krow, the cannon capable of channeling her Hellfire into vast fireballs. Tonpetty himself stood in the very center, inside the wagon and pushed it with his own two feet. Clearly, Beelzebub's enhancements had not only effected his physical ability, but his ability to think and adapt, as well as devise. This was Tonpetty's masterpiece, an Obsidian Craft he had been working on since he had discovered these latent abilities with his uncle Beelzebub. And he named it....* BATTLESTATION: TONPETTY!

Ezekiel: *he rolls on the ground as he is flung several feet from the wreckage. As he rises up, he looks in horror at his home, his farmhouse, all of it...he and Mary had worked so hard to build this life, and now...it was all in ruins in an instant. Enraged didn't even begin to describe what he was feeling.* You....all of you just did the one thing NOBODY in Dis ever dared to do....You've officially pissed me off.

Argon: Tonpetty, Eliazar, Pike, do you all think you can handle him? The Commander needs assistance, and I think we should follow her engagement plan...

Tonpetty: Go, Argon. We can handle him....*he opens a back hatch to the wagon as he pulls it to a halt, running out immediately and charging right at Ezekiel*

Eliazar: *he nods to Argon and jumps off the wagon, wretching and letting out two more armored bugs as he snarls and runs after Tonpetty, joining the attack against Ezekiel*

Argon: *he immediately jumps off the wagon and turns his body to gas, floating down and thinning his body so flat that he could glide between the blades of grass. In this form, he knew Mary would never be able to detect him. He moved his form forward, towards Mary and Krow as silently as the air itself, his body becoming a natural relaxant and tranquilizer that would tire Pure Mortals, but give those with Demon blood a relaxing sensation of calmness and clarity. His head moves through the mass to where Krow is, a small thread of gas reaching up to her ear as Argon speaks through it* Apologies for my tardiness, Commander...but Tonpetty has outdone himself this time. Never the less, I am here now...breath as much of this gas as you wish. Its a natural relaxant and mental re freshener to Demonkin, but a potent tranquilizer to Mortals...

Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals

Post by ShadowFantasy 3/17/2016, 2:39 pm

~Nigel's Fleet~

Terran: *he sighs and puts his hands behind his head in a lazy gesture as he nods to where Ember was sitting on the railing of the deck of the ship. She seemed to have been out of it for quite some time and hadn't spoken to anyone very much since she'd gotten aboard the ship. It was as if her mind were stuck in a different place and time while her body had chosen to stay where she was* I dunno about my problems but....something seems off about the flaming little princess over there. I've never seen her like that before. I'd talk to her but it's unlikely that I'd get anything out of her other than her needing to be held. She needs someone that she's not especially close with to talk to I think. *he smirks at him as he pats his shoulder, starting to walk below deck to rest* Go to it man. I'm sure whatever she has on her mind it's important to have kept her so quiet.

~Grimoire's Bastion, Nifelheim's Chambers~

???: *an empty crystal amongst the wall of demons in Nifelheim's chambers springs to life a few moments later and a skinny but clearly well built demon can be seen whispering something into what looks like a young man with the emblem of behemoth carved with sharp instruments into his chest, chained and bound in midair in the middle of a mostly empty room. Moments later the man starts to panic as an amused, manic cackle comes from the demon* N-No! I-I'll tell you whatever you want! Just no more of this! Please!

???: *the demon steps around the man and gives him a grin, his teeth having been sharpened into nothing but fangs as the sound of flesh being cut and gently moved aside can be heard. The demon appeared to be in his early to mid thirties and had long scarlet hair with locks of black mixed in, three long tails of the hair being held together down to his lower back with what seems like steel bell-like ornaments. The demon had no clothing on his torso but wore slightly baggy pants on his legs while his feet were just as bare as his clearly well-built chest. His bangs were long enough to come down past his eyes in such a way that it was near impossible to see them and as he reached up to put what looked like bone-like claws that had emerged from his fingertips in some nightmarish fashion gleamed with a strange colored liquid. He continued to grin as he let the claws gently run along the man's cheek, still laughing. Along the fingertips of his hand up to his shoulder he also bore a very prominent but plain red tattoo with black coloring going within the middle like a stripe* Now now, as much as I love your cooperation I simply must have you silenced for a moment while I'm in the presence of Lord Nifelheim. *the demon's voice has an underlying cockiness and mocking to it as he speaks, his bone-like claws starting to run along the length of the man's neck before the demon stops and pushes them into his skin. Barely a few seconds pass by as he starts to scream and foam starts to dribble out of his mouth, cutting off his cries as the claws appear to slowly sink back into the demon's fingers. His face goes into a satisfied smile as he pats his cheek* Much better~ That should keep you quiet for a little while. *he now turns to the crystal image to face Nifelheim and gives an overly polite and exaggerated bow to him* My Lord Nifelheim, Viper Kroan at your beck and service sir~ To what do I owe the pleasure of your summons? I heard talk of the possibility of getting to play with some Giants and I simply had to turn my imaging device on right away.

~Silvenheim~

Zephyr: *as Catia seems to slowly begin to process the events that are being presented to her, he shakes his head in answer to Dolph's question* I do not know. As I've said once before, I woke up in my tomb in Myrr and I haven't been to Dis quite yet. I do not know the state of things there as of the current time. For all I know, Xytos could still be hiding from Ember.

Lily: *she frowns and tilts her head in confusion* What in the world could cause Xytos to run like that though?

Zephyr: *he sighs* It's because of what his curse is capable of. Simply put, Xytos can chain himself to up to two other people of his choosing. When he does so he becomes capable of knowing their current state of health, location and even emotional state anytime that he chooses.

Lily: *she blinks for a moment before looking at Catia* Do you think maybe he could be chained to Catia then? If she really is his only daughter then it would only make sense right? I mean....if I had that ability I would chain myself to Shagga in an instant. *she smiles up at Shagga as she says this, her face unusually watchful*

Catia: *she stands up and spreads her wings out as she shuts her eyes tightly and shakes her head* No no no! Stop talking like it's the truth! I do not have a demon for a father! It's not possible! Kiria is my little sister! Our parents died to a dragon raid and we found our way here!

Cordelia: *she frowns at Catia* You're acting like a spoiled little brat who's not getting her way. Calm down will you?

Catia: *she stops and immediately glares daggers at Cordelia, anger and frustration clearly written all over her face* SHUT UP! *she screams at her, Cordelia as well as everyone else stopping and staring at the angelic girl in absolute surprise* Ever since I've been able to hear your voice you've done nothing but lie to me to try and get control over me! Just shut up!

Cordelia: *her face seems to soften as her form appears to relax, as if she wished to try and comfort her* C-Catia....I-I'm telling the truth this time! Why would I ever lie about something like this?

Catia: *she growls at Cordelia as her eyes start to tear up* Because you're a demon! That's all you're good for is lying, cheating and being a rotten, evil creature! Now shut up and leave me alone! *she yells at her, turning around and running away from Cordelia, the flaming spirit staying still for a few moments before closing her eyes and curling up as Catia gets out of range of their communication and making her disappear*

Lily: *she blinks as she watches the angelic girl flap her wings and fly off from the rest of them in the direction of Loria's Keep. She looks to everyone else, a worried expression on her face* D-Did we say something wrong?

Zephyr: *the expression in his eyes is unreadable as he take a deep breath and stays where he is* No, I can assure you that nothing that was said here was what upset her. Just give her some time to herself to think. I'm sure that will help to ease her mind over all of this. Meanwhile.... *he looks to Dolph and Shagga, his eyes locking onto Shagga as he spots something off* ....I think you have a secret that you're not telling someone near you. *he looks at Lily as she gulps and looks away shyly, blushing from ear to ear* Her soul is reacting erratically to what I've just said. Do you know what it is he's keeping a secret?

Lily: *she shakes her head quickly* N-Nope! I-I don't know what you're talking about! *she suddenly stands up and her eyes flicker blue* I-I gotta go! See you guys later! *she says quickly, her anxiety and nervousness over what was going on betraying her words as she vanishes from sight*

Zephyr: *he blinks at the interaction before looking at what remained of the companions around him* She looked to be in a hurry now didn't she?

~Jotunheim~

Krow: *she smirks as the power struggle between her and Mary continues, making Mary widen her eyes in momentary surprise. She begins to laugh quietly as she tightens her grip on her sword and breathes calmly, her thoughts quickly returning to a calm serenity that allowed her to think clearly and quickly in situations like this*

Mary: *she narrows her eyes at Krow* What's so funny?

Krow: *she watches as the gas starts to crawl up towards Mary's face and puts one hand up to the blunt edge of her blade, flipping it on its side and helping Krow put more force onto Mary's weapon* Tell me, what do you think of the idea of helping me out? I'm sure it's no big deal, you having married a rotten traitor and all~

Mary: *something clicks inside of Mary's head and she quickly begins to growl angrily at Krow, the mental distraction clearly letting Argon's gas go unnoticed as it slowly begins to fill her lungs* What would you know about-! *her anger is cut off as she suddenly feels her body grow limp, Krow easing up on her grip on her weapon as she near collapses to onto her back in the grass. Her grip on her weapon loosens and it rolls out of her hand onto the ground beside her as Krow lets her sword disappear, kneeling down to put a hand onto her cheek as she growls weakly at her* Wh-What sort of trick is this? Your curse?

Krow: *she chuckles to herself as she gently places her free hand over the top of Mary's and intertwines their fingers, smiling gently at her* Don't be silly~ My curse isn't what's making you feel so weak right now. One of my friends simply gave you a little dose of a tranquilizer to help you relax.

Mary: *she grits her teeth angrily as she closes her eyes briefly and shakes her head slowly, trying her best to shake off the tranquilizer's effects on her body* Why you sneaky, conniving little....

Krow: *she chuckles again as she moves over the top of Mary's body, making her face turn a light shade of pink* Come now~ It's just temporary. The real fun begins right now.... *before Mary can move out of the way, Krow's eyes glow with flecks of black color as she closes them and presses her lips up against Mary's, kissing her*

Mary: *her face quickly flushes as she's kissed by Krow, her mind slowly going blank as her eyes involuntarily close and she returns Krow's kiss. Her body's numbness slowly begins to disappear as Krow slowly pulls away, the two opening their eyes as Mary stares wordlessly at her enemy, unable to think clearly*

Krow: *she gently runs the back of her hand onto Mary's cheek and smiles charismatically at her* Now then....What can I call you dear?

Mary: *she gulps as her voice slowly returns to her* M-Mary....Mary Tritian....

Krow: *she grins as she rubs noses with her gently and moves over to whisper into her ear* Be a dear Mary and help me out won't you? I was sent here on a mission after all~

Mary: Wh-What do you want me to do?

Krow: *a sly, evil grin forms on her face as she sits up and moves Mary's Guisarme into her hand once again* Kill Ezekiel the traitor and help me drag his mangled body back to Lord Nifelheim of course~

Mary: *as Krow gets up and off of her, she takes the demon woman's hand up and brushes herself off before she looks over at Ezekiel, storm clouds beginning to form overhead as her face straightens and she gets into a fighting stance* ....Yes Miss Krow....It will be done at once. *before Ezekiel can react, Mary flies straight at him and swings her Guisarme at him as rain slowly begins to fall from the storm clouds that she's collected, Krow watching from afar with a cruel, pleased smile on her face*

Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals

Post by Zazul 5/2/2016, 9:48 am

~Nigel's Fleet~

Nigel: *he looks over to Ember, analyzing the Demon before him with his eyes* Princess Ember Dis...I didn't think I'd get to meet a real member of the Brave Companions on top of all this, today...*he then walks over to Ember, standing next to her as he casually pulls a silver coin from his pocket, flicking it up and down a few times before catching it and offering it to Ember* Silver for your thoughts, Princess? You seem troubled...perhaps I could be of assistance?

~Silvenheim, the Gates~

Shagga: *he looks down slightly, realizing what upset Lily* I think I know what I gotta do...Zephyr, you and I have tried to kill each other more times than I can count. Really, out of all the Demons from Ember's old army that I fought, you and I probably faced off the most. But, if you really are just here for a peaceful talk with Ember...I guess I can't begrudge you that.

Belwas: *he raises an eyebrow curiously* Shagga? Being reasonable?

Shagga: If Eddard suddenly turned on us and went to the Dragons, wouldn't you guys want to hear an explanation from him?...

*the entirety of the group grows silent. Not because Shagga was wrong...but because he was right.*

Kai: Its true...we would go before Heinkiel and probably try to talk to him before anything...

Shagga: Exactly....now, I'm gonna go take care of something I should have done a long time ago. *he then takes off after Lily, using his Mystic Focus to sprint just as fast as her*

Forcestus: *as he stands there and thinks to himself, a light of horrible realization forms on his face as he looks up at Zephyr and walks over to him. He then points to the ground and, using his finger, writes out one word in big letters*

Word: L-E-G-I-O-N

Wyald: *as he reads the word aloud, his eyes also begin to widen* He's right...if Zephyr and Xytos are around again...that means Legion is probably back as well...

Kai: Ember's former betrothed....I remember him well. He nearly killed me, Eddard, and every one of the people here numerous times. He's strong, like his evil father, Mephistopheles...

Belwas: If Legion is back, Zephyr, do you think he will try to rally the other members of Ember's old Battalion to him? I can imagine quite a few of them remember his last campaign, and how we only made it out of there because of Ser Ford and his timely intervention....

Dolph: I do not mean to hinder the discussion, but we can worry about Legion later...Zephyr, do you know of any places in Myrr or the Immortal Lands that Xytos would hide?

Kai: You want to find him, Dolph?!

Dolph: If Xytos was absent the battle, then he must have had a good reason. Demons, especially Warriors of Old and Hellfire Knights, never shy away from combat.

Wyald: OOOOKI! What? You got some trick up your sleeve?

Belwas: I think I get what Dolph is thinking...If he really is Catia's father, then he could become a potential ally. And with the Knight of the Burning Loch on our side, the scales in the war against Nifelheim might shift to our favor, even if slightly...

Dolph: Astute as ever, good Belwas.

~Loria Company Barracks~

Desmond: *he sat calmly before the fountain in Loria Company's keep. As he looked at the water, he found himself thinking of his old home, the Great Swamps of the Northeast. There, the waters were murky, green, and littered with peat and dead leaves as well as mud and various, dangerous wildlife. He had become accustomed to the clear waters of Silvenheim, but some days he longed for the swamps he came from, despite the circumstances that lead him to meet Ser Phobos and become a Knight-Apprentice. He then found himself thinking of Semyaza, the Demon of the Void who had attacked him, Cameron, Kurt, and Yorg. He was powerful, so strong that Desmond could barely react to his movements. This left Desmond feeling...weak. Even back on the island, he was barely a match for Beck, and had to be saved by Ser Yorg. As he contemplated ways to get stronger, he felt a surge of energy coming this way, and looked in the direction Catia was flying* Huh?

~Dis~

Nifelheim: *a grin of utter delight forms on the Demon King's face. He then claps his hand loudly and slowly as he chuckles* Viper, you mad freak of nature! I see you're up to your old antics again, eh? You simply MUST regale me with a tale of your exploits on that...less than fortunate...Dragon Apostle over there that we sent you! However, before that, I do believe you heard correctly, old friend. *he smiles evilly, his fingers tapping together as he explains to Viper* Giant is indeed the main subject. You see, I will be sending the Half-Demon army to Jotunheim soon, to reduce it to rubble. And, in order to make the event more entertaining, I wished to have your talents present.~ I believe you will be delighted, as well, to know the person you will be working with...Her name is Krow, and she's the one who burnt Deg's Holdfast to the ground in order to bust your son out of prison.~ What do you say, Viper Kroan? Feel like showing the Giants of Jotunheim why you are the best in the world at what you do?!~

~Jotunheim, Ezekiel's home~

Ezekiel: *he takes both halves of the shield-cover on his bow and splits it, holding each shield in his hand. Slowly, two blades of ice form on each shield, turning them into a set of twin, icy war glaives. He runs forward, dragging the glaves behind him as he runs headlong at the charging Tonpetty*

Tonpetty: *he forms a warhammer of obsidian in his hands and roars, bringing it back and he charges and moves to slam it right down onto Ezekiel*

Ezekiel: *he tumbles to the side, dodging the hammer slam and catches himself, springing forward with great agility and rolling around Tonpetty before leaping up and slicing up the juggernaut's back. As Tonpetty howls in pain, Ezekiel then turns around in time to catch one of Eliazar's blood claws on his blade. As he and Eliazar grind weapons, Ezekiel growls to himself angrily. These Half-Demons and this Vampyre had taken from him something he had slaved for centuries in the service of Nifelheim, only to betray the Demon King and help save his most beloved student, for. To lump onto this grievance, they had then attacked him and his wife, and forced them to send their son away for his own safety, all within the span of less than a day. To say Ezekiel was livid right now was the understatement of the century. The Gelgeth then takes a deep breath and blows right into Eliazar's face, a thick coat of ice forming on the Vampyre's face. Eliazar roars in pain, gasping for breath and clawing away at the ice before eating one of Ezekiel's wheel kicks across the jaw, promptly shattering the ice and sending Eliazar reeling.*

Pike: *he shoots down, his orbs finally free as he thrusts his hands forward and forces all of them to fall at Ezekiel*

Ezekiel: *he scowls at Pike before running forward and rolling out of the way of the orbs at the last moment. As he does, he reunites the two shields and reforms his bow, taking quick aim at Pike before popping off three shots*

Pike: *he sees the arrows coming and nimbly tumbles in the air, dodging as he swipes low and flies right at Ezekiel, his orbs forming up around him as he comes into close range and lays a swift punch to Ezekiel's cheek. Ezekiel takes the punch, barely flinching but surprised that Pike had decided to go in close. His surprise would cost him, as suddenly an orb flies in and uppercuts him, causing him to rise off the ground before Pike smiles and flips mid-air, bringing his legs back as he kicks Ezekiel hard with both feet, flinging him back a few yards*

Ezekiel: *he catches himself and pants heavily before a rain suddenly starts falling around him, a Guisarme blade nearly taking his head off as he tumbles back and faces his new adversary. To his utmost horror, he finds Mary standing before him* No....what trickery is this!?

Pike: *he lights onto the ground, grinning* Yo, Elz, Tonpetty! Looks like the Commander managed to get her curse off on that wifey bitch!

Eliazar: *the Vampyre growls, his hair almost standing on end but a sadistic smile on his face. A new comrade...their prey was cornered now.*

Tonpetty: *he rubs his back tenderly before glaring Ezekiel down and walking slowly to join Pike and Eliazar as they started to surround Ezekiel* I may be made of sterner stuff now, but that cut really hurt...I owe you for that, Blue Man....

Ezekiel: *he looks back and forth at the enemies before him, noticing Argon and Krow slowly walking towards him behind Mary* You cowards...turning my wife against me...Just the kind of sneaky trick one of Nifelheim's attack dogs would pull! *he begins backing up slowly, a deep pond behind him, cutting off his escape. He looks back to the water. While he was a master of ice, he could not manipulate water, and so knew it would only hinder him. And to make matters worse, Ezekiel could not swim...he knew he was trapped and cursed his own foolishness to think Nifelheim would send any less than his strongest after him*

Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals

~Aboard Nigel's Fleet~

Ember: *the demon girl blinks when she hears the nickname 'princess' and glances around at Nigel, her eyes widened slightly and looked to be hopeful for a moment. After she realized that it was Nigel who'd called her princess though, her eyes returned to their previously far away look and she glanced away back to the water* Oh....it's you. *she sighs as she lets her tail dangle limply over the railing behind her and starts to speak* Nigel....There's a lot of change on the horizon. I harbor the burden of not only the curse of eternal conflict between Grimoire and I, but a dark secret that will determine the victor of this war we're in should it come to fruition. And....it almost did.... *her face darkens a little bit* ....For the wrong side. If we hadn't gotten saved by that old god's mate....I would've perished at Grimoire's hand. And a new darkness would've overtaken us all. *she looks to him, a deep grief and pain in her eyes* Nigel....I'm tired of keeping this secret. I thought it wouldn't matter if I did. That everything would be fine and Grimoire and I could stay separated forever, living our own lives. But now....I've realized that it isn't possible to hide anymore. *she opens her palm and makes a flame inside of it. Compared to how her flames usually were, this one seemed incredibly weak. It was as if Ember's power itself was slowly fading away* I'm growing weaker by the day....soon there won't be any other choice but to fight Grimoire. And I know that if I do....I'm going to die....

~On a tower rooftop in Silvenheim~

Lily: *she had run away, tears coming from her eyes as she quickly leaped between each tiny spire on the outside of the tower, climbing it further and further until she'd finally reached the rooftop. She stopped there, the glow in her eyes fading away as she turned around and gazed out at the city before her. It seemed so peaceful at night, as if the inhabitants never worried about the enemy possibly coming into the city and destroying everything that they had worked so hard to keep. Deep down she wondered if everything that she was doing was wrong. She knew that staying in one place was bad for her....yet she couldn't shake the feeling that she belonged being tied down. She longed to be able to be safe in one place forever. Her tears fell as she sat down and brought her knees up to her chest, knowing that only one place would truly ever make her feel safe; being in Shagga's arms. But the last time she felt that way and tried to make that decision, she saw his death. Was she never meant to be happy?*

~The Gates of Silvenheim~

Zephyr: *he closed his eyes in thought, trying to remember if Xytos had ever mentioned any of his favorite places to relax. He'd been shown a few of them by the hellish knight, most of them being near Dis or Avalon. But one of them stuck out to him....he couldn't remember its name but he knew what it looked like; swamps. He looked up to Dolph* I know of only one that was particularly hard to find him in. There was one place I had requested to see once when he mentioned the places that he liked to get away to. I don't quite remember its name but I do remember that he talked about swamplands. If you know anyplace like that within Myrr, I would check there first. Xytos didn't mind sharing his favorite spots to relax to me but that was the only one that he would never show me.

~Loria Company Barracks~

Catia: *the angelic girl flew past the fountain in her master's company courtyard, not noticing Desmond as a tear fell and hit his cheek. Soon she'd found herself in her master's private courtyard, lighting down in the middle of the field of flowers there and collapsing to her knees. She stared at the flowers beneath her, slowly falling to her side and closing her eyes, curling up and letting her grief out. She was safe there....she knew that in this one place, she was allowed to let her feelings out. But there were so many that she could only cry, closing her eyes as her mind swarmed with the thoughts of everything that was slowly becoming apparent to her. She'd met other half-demon's before but....she knew that there was no way that she'd been one from the very beginning....was there?*

~Dis~

Viper: *he grins sadistically, red eyes gleaming out from underneath his hair as he kept his bow to Nifelheim while he responded to him* I would be absolutely delighted to fight alongside your newest pet my lord~ Consider my presence within that new bastion of your daughter's on its way! *he stands up and looks back at the dragon apostle that was chained up behind him, letting out a loud sigh as he glances back at Nifelheim* Do do me a favor won't you? It seems that I gave this experiment of mine a little too much to handle. Have someone collect him and send him to my dear son Irituum would you? I'm sure he would absolutely love to dine on an Apostle's flesh~ *he asks, walking over to another table full of vials and containers with various body parts in them and rummaging around for something* I got what information I needed out of him anyways. And goodness did he have a mouthful of tidbits to give me! *Viper grins back at Nifelheim as he shakes a small vial of purple fluid in his hand* Tell me my lord, how interested would you be to know that under our very feet an Elder Dragon sleeps? And its name is Jormungandr~

~Jotunheim, Ezekiel's home~

Mary: *a single tear falls down her cheek as she spins her guisarme in a quick circle and holds it at the ready behind her back, the blade end pointed at the ground. She was completely conscious of what she was doing yet....her body kept moving on its own*

Krow: *she grins evilly at Ezekiel and lets her raven-like wings stretch out in an effort to intimidate him* Coward? You're one to talk, hiding behind storms and mist for so many years. If anyone deserves a taste of his own medicine it's you~ *she lets hellfire blanket her arms as she looks to Mary before looking back at her comrade's* Allow me to handle things from here. It won't take very long I assure you. *she looks back to Mary and walks over to stand beside her, her evil grin still on her face* Mary dear....let's kill him! *she tells her*

Mary: *she lets the rain falling around them start to pound harder before she lunges forward, swiping upwards at Ezekiel in an effort to make him back up before whirling around and thrusting a palm forward. If this attack connected it would fling Ezekiel directly into the near center of the pond. She cursed herself for letting all of this happen the entire time she was moving, more tears falling from her cheek as she struggled in futility against the curse that was controlling her*

Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals

Post by Zazul 5/16/2016, 12:46 pm

~Nigel's Fleet~

Nigel: *as he listens to Ember, he nods patiently, waiting for Ember to finish. When she is done, he sighs and adjusts his hat, keeping his normal, proper posture.* I see....Then our situation is indeed grave. His Majesty will be most troubled... Princess, if you wish to share any information, it would be very much appreciated, given that we have fallen to our current debacle with the Demons. However, know that no matter your decision, the Myrrian Crown and its Vanguard will do everything it can to keep you out of Grimoire's clutches. You have my word, as a Forward Commander of the Vanguard and as a gentleman, we will keep you safe. Now tell me, Princess...what is this dark secret that could turn the tide of the war?

~Silvenheim rooftops~

Shagga: *he leaps from roof to roof, his Mystic Focus allowing him to track Lily and keep her in his sights. Finally, he manages to catch up to her, he finds her sitting on the rooftops, balled up and ready to cry. He wastes no time. Thinking to himself that this was his chance to finally correct his blunder from years ago, Shagga walks straight up to Lily and scoops her up into his arms, immediately holding her in a tight embrace. And the strange thing was...Shagga was trembling.* You're not going anywhere....last time you left, it nearly took away my will to fight, alright?!....When you left....all my strength nearly left with you...please, Lily...*he looks deep into her eyes, his real feelings showing through, that Shagga loved her and didn't want to lose her* Please, be my woman and stay, so I can keep being strong for both of us...and for our homeland. I'm a Crag-Man who pisses on Southern tradition, but there is one tradition that our people's share...when we choose our partner, we are loyal. Please, Lily. I want you, and only you.

~Silvenheim Gates~

Wyald: Swamps?....the Great Swamps of the Northeast, by my thinking. Dark, creepy, full of gross, evil predators....Perfect place for a Demon's vacation house!~ OOOOOOOKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKI!~

Dolph: *he turns his head in Belwas's direction* Belwas, is your former apprentice not from the Great Swamps? Perhaps he would know if anything akin to a Demon was spotted there when he was living there?

Belwas: Desmond was just a boy when his parents abandoned him in the swamp...it wasn't long, only a few days afterwards, that Phobos found him...*he crosses his arms, sighing* If he does remember anything, it would be hazy at best...but its worth a shot.

Kai: Then Wyald, go and collect Desmond for us, will you? In the meantime...*she looks over to Zephyr* What to do with you?...

Wyald: OOOOOOOKI! I got an idea...Listen, Zeph, Ember should be back any day now...how about you hang out in Silvenheim till then? We'll keep you at Loria Company's, somewhere we know you won't be sneaking around the city. During that time, I want you to do me a solid...Help me teach Catia.

*each and every Brave Companion there immediately looks at Wyald with looks of sheer disbelief, even shocked awe*

Kai: You can NOT be serious right now, Wyald!

Belwas: Are you out of your mind, letting a Demon stay here?! We don't even know if Zephyr is still loyal to Nifelheim!

Wyald: If he was loyal to Nifelheim, he would have kept the bits about Xytos to himself. Think about it....If Xytos went AWOL, it means his loyalty to Nifelheim is shook. Nifelheim hates the possibility of ANY Infernal turning traitor, ever since Ezekiel helped smuggle Ember out of Dis. If Zephyr was on a "kill the traitors" mission, he'd be hunting Xytos right now instead of bothering to play tag with my apprentice. I think Zephyr here isn't here on Nifelheim's orders, but to satisfy his own personal questions. Am I right?

~Loria Company Barracks~

Desmond: *he immediately stands up and rushes over to Catia* Catia! Are you alright?! Are you injured?! Did that mad ape hurt you in some way?!

~Grimoire Bastion~

Nifelheim: *he smirks slightly, his tone slightly dark* We will have the corpse sent to Irituum's chamber posthaste...but dear Kroan...*his smirk may seem playful, but his eyes are burning with fury* What do you mean by "An Elder Dragon sleeps beneath my feet"?! *the entire room seems to sizzle and crack with heat as Grom begins to back off slowly* Are you telling me...that one of those filthy, ancient lizards has built its disgusting mating hole beneath my regal boots...and that, as we speak, it is sleeping and wallowing in its own waste....AND IT IS DOING SO FREELY?! *the air seems to explode with a wave of heat as Nifelheim roars in anger, the air turning quiet as he breaths heavily to calm himself.* Perhaps...we can use this to our advantage?~ Grom, when you and Krow are finished with your fight, have her sent to my private quarters....I will have a new assignment for her.

Grom: *already knowing what Nifelheim intended to do, Grom bows his head* When we have finished, I will lead the Half-Demons to victory in Jotunheim. I will allow Krow the honor of Your Excellency's mission, in favor of upholding my own. Your will, my hands.

Nifelheim: Excellent!~ *he then turns back to Viper, a grin on his face* Do hurry, old friend! We simply MUST catch up!~

~Jotunheim, Ezekiel's Homestead~

Ezekiel: *time seemed to move slowly as he leaps back only to be blasted into the pond by a gust of wind. As soon as he hit the water, he began to sink like a rock, disbelief in his eyes as he gazed up at the waters above him. Mary...Raphael...all he could do was think of how sorry he was, how he wished that they could have lived a safer, better life if he had fully sided with the Mortals and gone to Silvenheim...yet, all these were, were simple regrets. He closed his eyes, awaiting the end that he knew was coming. Suddenly, he feels something appear behind him and grab him, holding him by cupping their hand over his mouth. As he felt himself slowly sink into darkness, he looked up and saw what looked like another him, floating up into the water. Then, his world went black*

~Jotunheim, Titan's Rook outskirts~

Raphael: *as Loki loped toward the city, Raphael wheezed heavily from exhaustion. Keeping his grip on the strong wolf's mane was hard, seeing as his fur was thick and tough* Hey, Loki, can we rest a bit? I'm tired...

Loki: *the wolf inclines his head, stopping as he hears something in the distance. The wolf immediately brings its head around and looks ahead to the north. What it heard...it was not a normal sound. Loki let out a low, menacing growl as he readied himself, with Raphael clinging fearfully to his back*

Raphael: Loki...what's wrong, boy?

*suddenly, one of the hillsides erupts as a large wheel rips through it, black iron and fire sparking along the ground as Legion's mount ripped through the terrain. Legion looked right at Raphael, seeing the dark blue hue of his soul*

Legion: Gelgeth filth...*he reaches for one of the hilts on his belt, drawing it as he channels his fire through it. A long blade of orange, flame-like energy suddenly springs forth from the hilt. He lowers his body, his mount charging forward at the wolf*

Loki: *the wolf growls before turning and running hard towards Titan's rook, knowing it was no match for whatever that thing was*

Raphael: *as Loki ran, Raphael did what any child would do...he began crying out for help* HELP! HELP US! MOTHER! FATHER! ANYBODY! HELP!

Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals

Post by ShadowFantasy 5/16/2016, 6:19 pm

~Nigel's Fleet~

Ember: *she's silent for a moment, something that would be unusual for anyone who knows her. However, after a moment, she holds her hand out in front of her and something begins to manifest into her outstretched hand. However, instead of her usual chakram manifesting there, something else entirely forms. In mere moments, a scythe, not unlike Grimoire's but with a fox's skull on the top of the blade instead of a mortal's, finds its way into her hand. She stares at it, a somber look on her face as she takes a deep breath and looks at Nigel, a fleeting spark of hope flashing into her eyes* ....I'm not who you think I am Nigel. My name isn't Ember. Grimoire and I....we're two halves of the same person. We're Nifelheim's one and only daughter, the Dark Princess Lilith. *she offers the scythe to Nigel, the blade gleaming with a cold light* Once, a long time ago, back when our mother was still alive, we were once a whole being. We discovered our curse, Soul Split, and our father took advantage of it. But what he didn't predict was what the effects of said curse were. True, we were split up, but not equally. Grimoire is Lilith's hatred and negativity. Me....I believe that I am her kindness, her hope and her mercy. I am what remained of her light. Had I not separated from her body when I did, I likely wouldn't exist. *she narrows her eyes at Nigel* I want you to listen very carefully Nigel; if Grimoire defeats me and takes my heart, Lilith will be reborn. Only this time, I will no longer exist. The same goes for her if I manage to defeat her and take her heart. I will gain control of Lilith's body and will be able to fight my father once more. But this time, it would be on equal ground. Our powers would be equal to not only each other, but to the old man, Garlith's, as well.

~Silvenheim Rooftops~

Lily: *her eyes snap open when she's suddenly scooped up into Shagga's arms, her first instinct being to slip free of his grasp and run away. However, as she listened to his plead and felt his body trembling, her muscles slowly relaxed and tears started to flow from her eyes. They were not tears of grief, but of happiness. Silver, and not clear. Sweet, but not bitter. Slowly she wraps her arms around his neck and rests her head in the crook of his neck, closing her eyes as she answers him in a shaky but happy voice* I can't guarantee that I'll be a good luck charm for us....but I'm too happy being with you to stay away any longer.... *her arms tense up, letting her squeeze Shagga's neck and body as if in comfort* I can say nothing but I accept. I love you Shagga. Forever and always~

~Silvenheim Gates~

Zephyr: *his eyes seem to smile as he nods to Wyald's question, carefully standing up and looking to him confidently* It is as you say Wyald. Though we were enemies in the past, I can faithfully assure you that I know where my place is. That place is and always has been at Ember's side. If she is truly with all of you, then I have no reason to question her judgement. I am a demon, this is true. But no matter how hard we try to avoid the truth, it is always clear: We are capable of compassion, kindness, mercy and laughter just the same as you Mortal's are. We feel the same emotions and feel the same loyalties. Mine is to my Princess and to her alone. So long as she is your ally, you may consider me as such. I only seek the answers as to why she did not see fit to trust me with her care as she had always done. *he looks to Belwas, his eyes serious once again* Nifelheim was but a means to an end Belwas. For me, I want Princess Ember to be happy. So now I believe it is my turn to ask a question of my own, one that I believe all of you are capable of answering in all of your own unique ways. *he gazes around through his mask to all of the Brave Companions* Is she happy with all of you? No....the proper question here is....Has she been happy with all of you?

~Loria's Company Courtyard~

Catia: *she opens her teary, puffy eyes as she hears Desmond fretting over her tears. Her cheeks, which usually turned bright red within his presence, remained only a light shade of pink. Instead of stuttering and running away like she usually did with him in the past, she didn't shy away from him. She wanted his comfort. For his arms to wrap around her and become the safe haven not unlike the walls of a castle. She needed someone to rely on now more than she ever did before. Slowly she sits up and just as she reaches up her arm to wipe her tears away from her eyes, no sooner does she collapse once again. Not onto the ground, but into his chest. It's there that she merely closes her eyes once again, letting herself continue to cry. Her wings remained limp on her back as she did, her mind swimming too much to let her form coherent words. She could only let out her sorrow, hoping that he wouldn't seek out any explanation for her sadness, only that he would give her sanctuary*

~Grimoire's Bastion~

Viper: *he lets out a glee-filled laugh as he listens to Nifelheim's outburst, starting to gather things within a small bag and slinging it around his shoulder. Slowly he gives him a bow as his eyes gleam out from under his long, scarlet hair* It shall be done my lord! Do save me a seat and I shall be there momentarily~ *the image vanishes as the crystal is turned off, a loud whoosh of flames being heard coming from outside the castle near moments later*

~Jotunheim, Ezekiel's Homestead~

Krow: *she laughs evilly as she gives a large flap of her wings, soaring into the air above the water of the pond as she lets loose a barrage of hellfire bombs into the water where Ezekiel had landed. The liquified flames quickly began to bring the entire pond to a steaming boil, much to Mary's dismay, flapping her wings to keep herself aloft while she waited for Ezekiel's body to reach the surface. She looks to Mary, a cruel smile on her face as the water slowly begins to cool down thanks to the large amount of rainfall on Mary's end* Be a dear Mary and fetch your husband's corpse for me? Once you have it just drag it to the shore and we can all return to the castle with our heads held high~

Mary: *she doesn't even hesitate this time, her hand instinctively letting go of her guisarme as she rushes over to the pond and dives into it. Frantically she searches for Ezekiel's body, only coming up for breath once before she finally finds it floating close to the surface of the water. Without a single thought, she wraps it up into her arms and swims back to shore, hauling his body onto the ground and checking his vital signs. A look of horror spreads on her face and into her eyes as her spirit visibly begins to break, her next few words choking themselves free from her lips* He....He's dead....

Krow: *she lights down onto the shore nearby, a cruel, pleased grin on her face as she looks to her companions* Then our work is done gentlemen. One of you pick up the body and let's all go back home to Lord Nifelheim~ *she looks to Mary and offers her her hand up* Come along Mary~

Mary: *she looks at Krow in utter astonishment, her body mindlessly taking her hand up and standing* M-Me? Y-You're not going to release me?

Krow: *her scarlet eyes flicker with flecks of black color as she responds, an amused smile spreading across her face* Of course not! You're coming home with us as my special little guest~ You should be thankful that I'm sparing your life instead of finishing you off. I suppose however, not allowing you to join your beloved husband in the afterlife would be a more cruel fate. *her canine teeth start to gleam as a bolt of lightning streaks across the sky, the storm slowly letting up* More reason to keep you alive I guess. I did promise Lord Nifelheim that I would make you suffer. And suffer you shall~

~Jotunheim, Titan's Rook Outskirts~

*A caravan of mummers is seen just starting to pull into Titan's Rook, the view of the gate's within sight. Two giant's, a man and a woman, seem to be driving the head carriage. The male giant looked to be fairly skinny, wearing tan slacks and a long sleeved shirt with a set of brown earmuffs on his head and over his ears held the reigns of the carriage. He looked to be only in his mid-twenties, his spiky, dusty blonde hair and green eyes only adding to the cheery smile on his face. His stage name, Jet, was the one he usually went by as it was the one that his mate, the woman leaning onto his shoulder next to him all wrapped up in a large tan coat that was clearly two sizes too big for her, knew him by. The woman was slightly built for a giant and had a similar set of earmuffs to Jet's hanging loosely from her neck. She had very long silvery hair, the strands of it going as far as down to her waist. Her skin was fair and her face was very pretty. She wore no shoes however and her attire was very different from the normal Giant or even person for that matter. She wore pure white, skin tight pants, a skin tight white shirt and what looked like very large, hollow weights were strapped to her ankles and feet. They seemed to be made up of tightly interlocked silver dragon scales, the holes in them quietly whistling in the gentle wind as it blew into the odd instruments and through the other holes in them. Her hands and feet looked very soft but if one looked close enough, long years of hardship could be seen etched and scarred into the soles of her bare feet and hands. Her name was Echo, a name given to her by Jet years ago when the two of them had first met. A golden ring adorned the ring fingers of either one of them, showing that the two were very clearly a married couple*

Jet: *as he smiles down at his companion, the far away sound of Raphael's cries for help can be heard in the distance. Slowly he bends forward and pets the mane of the beasts pulling his carriage, subsequently waking up what was the slumbering Echo next to him, and shouts to the other two carriages that had also stopped behind him* Do you guys hear that? *he calls out, looking to Echo before he gently places his fingers on his thigh. Slowly he starts to move them in various, odd patterns. But as he continued to do so, Echo seemed to become very alert and her head looked around*

Echo: *her eyes, as pale and white as the colors of her clothing, looked around and trained on, not the source of the cries of help that were clearly coming from farther away behind them, but on the ground beneath them. Though Echo was blind, she had a natural gift that allowed her to 'see' soundwaves. This gift, while difficult to use on a daily basis, allowed her to use her Sorcery which let her not only mimic any and all sounds that she 'sees', but echo them and amplify them by repeating it hundreds of times in quick succession. As her sightless eyes watched, she saw the pattern in the waves of sound on the ground and slowly her hand reached over to Jet's thigh. As she let her hand rest onto it, she began to move her fingers in a similar fashion to the way Jet had before, silently communicating to him what she was seeing* 'Four legged creature....big....moving very fast....like something is chasing it....there! I see it. Something small is chasing it.' *she stops as she turns and looks around the carriage to see what was chasing the large creature that she was picking up from the vibrations on the ground. Slowly she begins to make out its shape and her eyes widen as she quickly describes the approaching threat* 'Demon! A demon is chasing a boy and a large wolf! There's something else too!' *she cringes as she sees the large amounts of various lengths and amplitudes of the sound waves coming from Legion's vehicle. Whatever it was, it was VERY loud and it made it difficult for her to see very much else besides what was coming right towards them* 'It's loud....it makes it hard to see....what should we do?' *she finishes, looking to Jet with a worried expression on her face*

Jet: *he narrows his eyes and thinks for a moment before he gets up and out of the main seat of the carriage, Echo following him in suit* Hey Garland! There's a demon and some other thing chasing a kid behind us! Take our carriage into town and warn the city! Tell them to send help out here as soon as they can! *he shouts out, a huge man, very muscular in nature and wearing nothing but a pair of tight fitting pants, lumbers out of one of the carriages near comically before he slowly makes his way over to Jet and Echo's carriage and sits in the driver's seat*

Garland: *he looks over to Jet with shut eyes, as if his muscles were too big to allow him to see properly* You sure about this Jet? Demon's are dangerous you know!

Jet: *he smiles confidently at Echo, the young giant girl staring almost angrily at the chase happening only a couple of miles behind them* Yeah the two of us can handle one of them! Just get the city guardsmen to send some men out to meet us at the gates! We're gonna get the kid and his dog to safety and follow you guys into the city! *he shouts back. With that said, Garland nods and the caravan starts to move towards the city gates at a more accelerated pace. Jet smiles at Echo as he puts his hand onto her shoulder and starts to move his fingers to communicate with her* 'You're gonna protect that kid whether I tell you no or not right? Let's just do it together! Send that demon chasing that kid a warning sound....something sharp should do nicely! Then you can deal with whatever is making all of that awful noise while I make sure the kid on that wolf gets to safety. Sound like a plan?' *he finishes, Echo wordlessly letting a smile spread onto her face with a quick nod*

Echo: *without another wasted move or sound, Echo rushes forward towards Raphael and Legion. As she gets within a meter of them, she starts to do a cartwheel as the scaled, weighty instruments on her ankles and wrists start to whistle with her movements like a flute. Then as she turns her body and starts to do a flip, their tone suddenly changes. An ear-piercing sound comes from them as Echo's eyes start to glow silver, the girl giving a small leap off of her hands into an axe kick at the air in Legion's direction. Soon afterwards, the ear-piercing, shrill sound that she was making reaches his ears and quickly starts to echo in his eardrums, the sound getting consequently and gradually louder and louder. In the next fluid motion, Echo sweeps herself back onto her feet and slowly readies herself. The vehicle that was chasing the wolf slowly barrels towards her and turns in her direction as it desperately tries to run the poor child over. The chimes on her ankles and wrists slowly begin to whistle again as she slowly moves her body, her eyes staring at the vehicle carefully. Then in an instant as it reaches her, she thrusts the palms of her hands forward and the same exact sounds that the vehicle was making suddenly flew out towards it. The vehicle cracks and breaks apart as the sound wave begins to echo and vibrate at the objects natural frequency, falling apart and hitting a small bump in the ground. The pieces of the vehicle each fly past Echo's face and body as she sweeps her legs back up and turns her attention onto Legion*

Jet: *he shouts out to Raphael as he and his wolf Loki slowly begin to gain some distance between him and Legion* Heeeey! Keep on running kid! We'll keep tall, dark and gruesome off of your tail! Just keep running until you hit the city! *he shouts to him, light starting to collect around himself, Echo, Loki and Raphael. If Legion were to look at this light, he would see their images quickly starting to blur and move as if they were mirage's*

Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals

~Nigel's fleet~

Nigel: *his face remains hard as he listens to Ember explain. Finally, he takes the scythe in his hand, looking it over thoroughly and studying it* These Demon Runes....Ivar taught me a bit of Demonic. It says here...that Lilith is capable of controlling every Curse within the Demon's Soul....I shudder to think if this is literal. A Demon, as powerful as Nifelheim set against us would be the worst possible outcome. However, I shall not let it fall to that. *he hands the scythe back to her* Ser Ember the Ceaseless Flame....no...Ser Lilith the Ceaseless Flame, we shall do everything in our power to keep you out of Grimoire's clutches, and to ensure that if you two are fated to reunite, that it will be with you as Lilith's main personality. I promise, we shall do everything in our power. Trust me when I say, pieces are already being set in motion for this event, even as we speak. *he takes his cane in hand and tips his hat politely to Ember* But, until the big day, we'll still call you "Ember". Would that be alright?

Dire: *the black being shimmers, glancing to Nigel and nodding to him without a word*

Nigel: *he looks over at Dire and nods* I see. Its done then? Alright. I'll head there now. *he returns his attention to Ember, bowing slightly to her* My apologies, but I am overdue for an important appointment. My fleet will take you directly to Silvenheim, and you should arrive in two days time. I will meet all of you there. For now, I must be going. *he steps back into Dire's shadow, tapping his cane to the deck as his body suddenly turns pitch black and melts into the shadow*

Dire: *he looks at Ember, staring at her for a few moments and slowly cocking his head to the side before sinking quickly into the deck and disappearing*

~Loria Company Courtyard~

Desmond: *he seems taken aback. Feeling no liquid-like pressure from a wound bleeding, he figured if she was hurt, it was on an emotional level instead of physical. Not really knowing how to talk about such things, Desmond glances around awkwardly for a few moments before reaching his arms up and wrapping them around Catia in an effort to comfort the girl* Geeze....Wyald must have really said something hurtful or something to get you this upset...

~Silvenheim Gates~

Kai: ....until recently, me and Ember didn't quarrel. Now, we're actually much closer. I'd say, we're happy with each other.

Dolph: Ser Ember has always been a spry and happy girl, despite her actual age and sordid past, at least around me when she taunts good Shagga. And their relationship seems to be akin to that of an older brother and his younger sister. I would say, we both are happy with her, and she with us.

Wyald: ....look, I owe Ember a lot, okay? I'd dive into the jaws of the Elder Dragon Cerberus himself for that girl, and I know she'd do the same for me. So yeah, we're good.

Belwas: Edd, Mary, and I went through hell and back, taking on Nifelheim ourselves so Ezekiel could get her out of Dis...and it was even MORE painful when we went back with her and all of us finished the job. But...we'd do it all again in a heartbeat for her, and we know she would do the same for us. So, it may not be paradise, but we're all family, even if we had to split since Edd's death. We love Ember, and she loves us. But hey, just ask her husband. *he gestures with his head to Forcestus*

Forcestus: *he steps forward and stands face to face with Zephyr. He then reaches up and removes his executioner's mask, looking down so Zephyr can look into his eyes and see his soul for himself for the answers.*

~Jotunheim, Ezekiel's home~

Pike: *he walks over to Mary, looking down at Ezekiel's corpse. It was charred and burned, blackened by the liquid hellfire, but damp from the water of the rain and pond. It looked like a mess, and Pike couldn't help but feel his eye twitch looking at it* That's just gross...I mean, traitors get what traitors get, but still...nobody likes soggy, burnt skin. *he reaches down and heaves the corpse onto his shoulder like a sack of flour, chuckling at Mary as he walks past her* I'm soooo glad I'm not you right now.~ *he walks forward, following Krow back to Tonpetty's newly-made battlestation* Hey, Tonpetty! That thing had better be rain-proof! I don't need the burnt jerky here leaking any more skin-soot on my new coat your uncle got me!

Tonpetty: *at the battlestation, Tonpetty begins inspecting his creation, making large benches in the main hull and small, obsidian cockpits where Eliazar, Krow, and Argon's stations were, After his alterations were complete, Battlestation: Tonpetty was ready for launch* Commander, the captain's chair is yours. I will of course push and provide power, Pike will pilot. Eliazar and Argon will mind the corpse and your new trophy. *he smiles, content with the mission's success* Congratulations on the victory, Commander. Again, your strategy leads us to victory.

Eliazar: *he walks into the battlestation, curling up on one of the benches and grumbling sleepily*

Argon: *he floats over to a bench and begins generating a cloud* This is a cloud of formaldehyde, turned to vapor using my Sorcery. Pike, if you would lay the corpse on a bench, I'll keep it well preserved.

Pike: *he lays the corpse down on the bench and brushes off his coat* Ew...charred Gelgeth.

~Jotunheim, Titan's Rook outskirts~

Raphael: *he nods and waves to Jet, returning to clinging to Loki as the wolf keeps running towards the city at full speed, the gates opening up for him as a group of Vanguard soldiers as well as Giant warriors rush out, their ranks parting to let the boy and his wolf through as the ran out to aid Echo and Jet*

Legion: *he feels a deep ringing in his ears as he sails through the air, the shrapnel from his shattered vehicle flying around him. He growls deeply to himself as he flips in the air and handsprings into a rolling tumble. He then turns and faces Echo, his eyes burning with deep and intense hatred* Giant barbarian...You dare stand against Legion, Son of Mephistopheles?! *black energy, similar to smoke begins to radiate off Legion's free arm, until a thick cloud of smoke shaped like various, screaming faces forms around his free arm. He roars out, thrusting his hand forward at Echo as the entire collection of smoke rushes at her in the form of a large, screaming face, radiating a trail of smaller screaming faces.*

Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals

Post by ShadowFantasy 5/17/2016, 4:17 pm

~Loria Company Courtyard~

Catia: *she sniffles once and shakes her head, slowly opening her eyes as she adjusts herself to get more comfortable in Desmond's arms. It was clear that she was calming down* N-No....Uncle Wyald didn't upset me....No one did really....Cordelia....she remembered a woman's voice saying a demon's name. *she sighs and wipes her tears away with her hand* It was shortly after I was born....after we were born....and the only possible conclusion that would make sense is that Kiria isn't my little sister....that I've been a half-demon my entire life without ever realizing it. *she seems to curl up a little, her hair falling over her face as if to hide her eyes* How could that be? I don't know if it's the truth but....part of me yearns for the truth....I'm scared....

~Silvenheim Gates~

Zephyr: *he stares at Forcestus, looking away after a moment and chuckling* I've never been very good at using Soul Sight you know....but I don't think that I need it to see that she was happy with you Forcestus. *he looks to Wyald, his eyes serious once again* You may count on me to aid you in the girl's training Wyald. I don't know what side of the war to believe in and which one is worth fighting for the most. But I wish to seek that answer, no matter where that search would have to begin. And that girl seems to be quite special, not just physically, but she seems to be loved by all of you as well. If I am able to help her come to terms with the truth, then that is what I will do. Now....with that being said....I believe seeking out the boy Belwas had mentioned before would be a decent first step. *he looks to Belwas* Do you know where he could be?

~Jotunheim, Titan's Rook outskirts~

Echo: *she can't see the smoke attack coming at her and lets out a strangled cry as the attack hits her and starts to burn her skin. With a silent yell she slams her fist into the ground beneath her and a pressure wave sounding like hundreds of doors being slammed all at once echo's out, dispersing the smoke enough to get the attack away from her*

Jet: *he growls and swipes his palm through the air in Legion's direction* You'll pay for that! *a bright burst of light explodes in Legion's face directly in front of his eyes before Jet rushes over to Echo and starts to help her up, using the finger movements from before to communicate with her* 'Are you alright Echo? That looked like it hurt!'

Echo: *she shakes her head as if she were clearing away a dizzy feeling before putting her hand on top of Jet's, a brave smile on her face as she looks at him*

Jet: *he smiles in relief and looks to the city gates, seeing that they were starting to form up with guards and Giant Warrior's. He gives a light tug on her sleeve and uses his index finger as if to point at them*

Echo: *Echo gives a small nod and shifts her foot in a slight, quick motion. In the next instant, Legion hears a deafening explosion in his ears, the sound echoing to keep him from being able to hear them as the two turn around and start to run towards the gates. The kid they had wanted to protect from Legion was within reach of safety. Now it was their turn to follow suit before they wound up as Legion's target's instead!*

Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals

Post by Zazul 5/21/2016, 3:05 pm

~Loria Company Courtyard~

Desmond: *his eyes widen upon hearing what Catia said. He couldn't imagine it...being a half-demon and not even realizing it. However, he knew that Catia, even if she had been a half-demon this whole time, was still Catia. She didn't seem evil...* ...If you wish to know the truth, then maybe you should seek it? Phobos always told me "Secrets without known truths are like a knife hidden by your adversary. It is a weapon that can be used against you if not discovered promptly."  I think he meant that, if you wish to keep your opponents disarmed, then you should know as much about yourself as possible, so they can never gain an advantage...Combat aside, I feel like the longing for the knowledge would probably cause a lot of unneeded worry...But, that's just my advice.

~Silvenheim Gates~

Belwas: He recently joined the King's Blade's company as her Dragon Hunter. If he'd be anywhere, I'd say he's probably somewhere around her barracks. Desmond is known for liking his solitude, and is was always a brooder, even before I whipped him into shape. Kai, would you mind showing Zephyr where Loria's barracks are?

Kai: *she nods to Belwas, motioning for Zephyr to follow her* Right this way. I'll trust you for now, but keep close...*she begins walking off towards the barracks, keeping a slow pace so Zephyr could catch up*

~Jotunheim, Titan's Rook outskirts~

Legion: *First, the flash immediately causes his eyes dilate, the light burning and searing his face as he reels back, stunned. However, what finally drops Legion to his knee was the explosion of sound to his ears. The sudden, concussive sound causes him to roar in pain as black blood drips from his ear. He feels the wound sear as it begins healing itself, but he feels the world spinning and whipping around him as lights flash before his eyes, the combination making him incredibly dizzy. By the time he comes to, Echo and Jet have already passed the approaching Vanguard. He snarls and clasps his hands together, realizing that a drawn-out fight would provoke unwanted attention* Enjoy your brief escape, boy...that hold will burn soon, with you in it! *he begins chanting in the Demonic Tongue, a seal forming underneath him as he warps away, back to Grimoire Bastion*

Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals

Post by ShadowFantasy 5/22/2016, 12:43 am

~Loria Company Courtyard~

Catia: *upon hearing Desmond's words, she gives a soft smile and a breathless chuckle, closing her eyes and giving his chest a soft headbutt* From all of those stories I'd heard from Master Loria, you'd think such a bad man wouldn't have been so wise.... *she sits up and curls her hair behind her ears, smiling at Desmond happily as she continues* Thank you Desmond....I'm happy that I can rely on you....even if you and I are both quite new at this whole thing. *she speaks, slowly touching foreheads with the boy before she closes her eyes and plants a kiss on his lips, her wings flitting slightly out of exasperation*

Zephyr: *he clears his throat out loud, making Catia squeak loudly with surprise as he stares at the pair, Kai not far behind him* I see that you're feeling a bit better Catia. Are you and him close?

Catia: *she blushes bright red and plays with her fingers, staring at the ground as she stammers nonsensically*

Zephyr: *he chuckles and looks to Desmond, his eyes growing serious once again* You must be Desmond. The Brave Companions and I have been discussing something....and we believe we may have a job that only you and your new angel friend there can do....pack up your bags. You're both headed to the Swamps.

~~~Two Days Later, Silvenheim Throne Room~~~
Lilah: *she is in human form and all of the King's Knights, minus Frost, as well as the Brave Companions are all assembled around the room. Ember was perched atop Forcestus' shoulder per usual and a rather oddly interested Terran was listening to Lilah's report* From what I was able to put together your highness, Nifelheim seems to have shown an interest in the Vampyre's as of recently. He expressed the wanting of a mate I believe....and there was something else. He acquired a powerful magical item from Semyaza who appeared before my eyes shortly after he had begun negotiations with their second in command. I have no idea what he wishes to do with said magical item but....I fear it cannot be good for us.
Karn: *he clears his throat and nods to Lilah as she gives a respectful bow and steps aside to let Karn give his report* Our mission had a bad start your majesty. As I'm sure you're aware by now, we were ambushed shortly after making it to the island by Grimoire, Irituum and four other demons. One of them was particularly powerful, a woman named Krow. She managed to put Frost under some form of control and forced him to fight Prince Lucas alongside her. Shortly after the battle was interrupted by the creature that we now suspect was the broodmother of an Old God, Frost was taken as a 'trophy' by Krow and our mission felt a loss. However, though we lost Frost in the endeavor as an unexpected event, we did succeed in rescuing Ser James and Ser Zigg of the Vanguard. I feel partially responsible for the loss of Ser Frost and I take personal responsibility for not having stopped them from taking him from us. *he bows to King Garlith respectfully, going to one knee as he bows his head in shame* My deepest apologies your highness.
Terran: *he sighs and bats his hand at Karn as he turns his attention to King Garlith* Ah he's being overly dramatic. We got ambushed by something we weren't ready for. The mission succeeded but it failed on a personal level. Next time we go into that part of Jotunheim we just need to take extra precautions is all.
Loria: *she growls a bit at Terran's casual tone, holding her tongue as she spoke out as well* However droll, Terran is right. *she turns her attention to Garlith, bowing her head a bit* We weren't expecting an ambush of that level in this mission. They got the drop on us and we suffered a heavy loss because of it....
~Grimoire's Bastion, Grimoire's Throne Room~
Viper: *he's laughing as he reminisces with Lord Nifelheim, his bone-like devil's arm poking through his fingers on his right hand as he regales him with the tale of his most recent torture victim* He was such a sissy! He had so much tough talk saying the typical one liners, you know the ones! 'You'll never break me!' and things like 'We're trained to never speak or give out vital information to the enemy. You'll get nothing out of me.' It was priceless! Ahahahahaaa! *he joked, imitating the dragon apostle's voice comically and puffing out his bare chest everytime he mocked his voice*
Krow: *moments later, the doors to the throne room open and Krow and her team step through, dragging Ezekiel's charred and still sopping wet corpse across the throne room floor as a timid looking Mary walks solemnly behind her. Krow steps before Grimoire and Lord Nifelheim and falls to one knee, bowing respectfully as if she were a knight to a king* My lord and lady, I have returned from my mission. And I come bearing gifts! *she says, nodding to Tonpetty and Mary. Mary says nothing but steps forward as if to present herself to them as Ezekiel's corpse is merely tossed out in front of them for all to see* As you can see, our mission was not only a success, but I brought another trophy home for my little 'collection'. *she speaks, her face straightening as she looks up and spots a rather comically confused and intrigued Viper standing next to Nifelheim*
Frost: *he's standing near Grimoire, leaning up against a wall as he spots Mary and narrows his eyes at her. He knew her from somewhere....who was she?*
Grimoire: *she grins evilly as she gazes upon, not just Ezekiel's charred and wet body, but the woman that Krow had taken as her second trophy* My my....so you are the wife of the traitor that I've heard so much about! *a dark shadow creeps along the ground towards Mary as Grimoire stands up, dark tendrils rising up around her as she approaches* Mary Tritian....it has been quite a while....
Mary: *she seems confused for a moment, staring at Grimoire through narrowed eyes before they suddenly widen* You! You're alive?! How can that be?! I saw Edd run you through with Ember ages ago! You're supposed to be-! *her comments are cut off as Grimoire's black tendrils wrap around her body and start to constrict her, making it difficult for her to breathe*
Grimoire: *she cackles as she gets closer to Mary, using the back of her index finger to caress Mary's cheek* Does it hurt knowing that out of all of the demons that you hunted back then, the one that came back to bite you is me? I'm flattered~ *she comments, glancing at Krow as her tendrils release the woman with a loud gasp of breath from her as she collapses to the ground, coughing* Very well done Krow~ I have to ask however....why keep this one alive? She's the wife of the traitor we wanted you to kill after all.
Krow: *she smiles evilly as she looks to Grimoire* I thought it more torturous to keep Miss Tritian alive Lady Grimoire. After all, if I were to have simply killed her then she would've had the joy of being able to join her beloved in the afterlife. No....I thought it more fun to keep her alive to watch as we conquer Myrr while she hangs on my every whim~
Viper: *Grimoire seems to stop and exchange looks with him before the both of them burst out into mad cackles of laughter* Very much so! Hahahaaa! I like her~! *he looks to Lord Nifelheim as Grimoire returns to her throne to sit once again* You sure have a way with picking out the ones with the most potential! So far she seems just as smart and evil as you've said my Lord! Hahahaha! *he cackles*
Krow: *she returns to her more relaxed posture before she narrows her eyes at Viper, not out of disrespect, but curiosity* Forgive my rudeness but I don't believe we've ever met before....who are you?
Viper: *he gives Krow a sharp, fanged grin and brandishes an overly exuberant bow to her* I am Lord Nifelheim's lead scientist and torture enthusiast, Viper Kroan~ He has told me many lovely things about your progress! I am pleased to finally make your acquaintance young master Krow.
Krow: *she seems to stare at Viper's over exaggerated bow to her before she smiles back and returns his bow* To you as well Viper.
Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals
~Silvenheim Throne Room~
Garlith: Hmm...I see...This is indeed troubling. The loss of Ser Frost weighs heavily upon us all. He is a stalwart comrade, and I wish to make sure that every effort is made to rescue him. *he looks to Nigel, nodding slightly*
Nigel: *he bows politely before speaking* I have already assigned one of my best agents on it, Your Majesty. Rest assured, my personal Company are masters of espionage, extraction, and martial combat if needed. Even Nifelheim's pets, Grimoire and Irituum, would be hard pressed to stop them. In a few days time, Agent Helen will return with Ser Frost in tow. This I guarantee.
Garlith: I shall hold you to your word, Commander. As a gentleman, and a Knight of Myrr. *he then looks to Lucas* Tell me more of this "Old God"?
Lucas: The town itself seemed...infected by its influence. The townsfolk had become abominable creatures, mixed with various sea life. And they seemed to worship this Broodmother creature and its vile spawn like gods. After freeing Ser Zigg and Ser James, thanks to the ingenuity of Ser Loria, Ser Kurt, and young June, we then faced and defeated the Broodmother. However, it was Ser Zigg who would deliver the crippling blow to its wretched child and then Ser James who would deliver the death blow that would win us the battle.
Sol: *he then takes over* Afterwards, aboard Commander Nigel's vessel, we watched as a vast creature left the island by passing beneath us. Before we could track it, it disappeared beneath the waves. It was...massive. Beyond anything I had ever seen. And I remember Dire was the one who called it an Old God.
Garlith: Hmmm...I do not know these Old Gods, but it is clear that they are a threat. We will attempt to learn more, as they also seem to be a threat to the Demons as well. Now then, what other news?
Ivar: *he steps forward* My spies from Grimoire Bastion in Dis have reported in. Apparently, an Elder Dragon has been found beneath the sands of Dis...and it just so happens that we found a way to get into the nest from Jotunheim. Other than that, Ser Horvath and Commander Glencour have arrived to Titan's Rook safely, along with a fresh garrison of reinforcements from the immediate recruitment that bolstered when Prince Lucas was released.
Wyald: *he scratches his head and belches loudly before speaking* OOOOOOKIIII! Alright! So, Desmond the Depressing and the kid both left for the Great Swamps in order to look into a lead on a possible ally, the Hellfire Knight Xytos. If this guy joins our team, we gain some serious firepower. Even one Hellfire Knight is a monster on the battlefield. I would know...I can remember quite a few who were SERIOUS pains in my ass! Anyway, they should be back soon...hopefully....
Ivar: ....Back to the subject of Nifelheim, Viper Kroan has left Nifelheim City for Grimoire Bastion. He's there now, and I think Nifelheim has more reason to have him there than just to chat...They're cooking up something. All three of Nifelheim's Council of Dark Sciences are there. Plus, and I speak from personal knowledge, Vampyre's can't reproduce naturally. I think they're going to use their evil knowledge for something...abominable.
Garlith: *he sits, pondering this information* So much darkness set before us...It would seem that a full war is inevitable. Hopefully, Lucas, your plan for the Giants will work...otherwise, I can't see anything else that can tip the odds in our favor...
~Grimoire Bastion~
Nifelheim: *his eyes seem to light with an evil, joyful fire as soon as he sees not only Ezekiel's charred corpse, but also Mary, bound and now under the control of Krow. He smiles, standing and gliding past Viper, Grimoire, and Krow, as if he was completely ignoring them. Wordlessly, tendrils of black, smoke-like energy ripple out from under Nifelheim's feet, the Demon King using them to suddenly grab Mary and hold her mid-air by her wrists and ankles. He smiles as the tendrils force Mary into the air and hold her, tilting her down every so slightly so Nifelheim could look up to her, face to face* Ah, yes....I remember you, Mary Tritian...I remember you well. That hair, like a green gale of hurricane wind, ripping the grassy earth beneath it asunder....and your blade, I remember its bite well....*he then reaches up to his shoulder and removes one of the clasps holding his cloak and armor onto his body. He then reaches for the second one and wordlessly drops the chest plate and cloak onto the floor, revealing his own body. The Demon King was perfectly toned, his muscles rippling and bulging as if it was sculpted out of red marble. However, the beauty of the Demon King was marred by three large scars, cracks in the marble. One covered over most of his shoulder in a long gash, as if something had cut deeply into his shoulder and chest. Another was a small cut, but to the trained eye, it was clear that it was a stab would from being run through by a thin but long blade. Finally, the last scar was a large, branched out scar that looked like a thorn bush, as if multiple blades had sliced through it all at once. He pointed to the large, branched scar, tapping on it as he smirked evilly at Mary* You gave me this scar....didn't you?...*he then raises his voice as his eyes light up* Didn't you?! *he immediately rushes forward, grabbing Mary by the chin and pulling her close so his face was practically touching hers, the heat of his body feeling like a literal flame and his breath smelling of brimstone. His voice then becomes hushed, almost gentle in a sick, evil way* I. Owe. You. *finally, after he pulls away, he addresses Viper, Krow, and Grimoire, his eyes not moving from Mary as he speaks* Didn't I tell you, Viper? Krow is every bit the deserving Commander I have said she is. Strong willed, powerful, commanding, intimidating, cunning, these only begin to describe her. She is peerless, and knows not the sting of defeat!...*finally, he breaks from his gaze at Mary and looks to Grimoire* Which is precisely why she has been challenged, isn't that right, Grimmy?
Tonpetty: *he immediately perks up when he hears the word "challenged" said* My liege?
Pike: Don't tell me Finn's got something to do with this...
Argon: That would be an astute assumption...however, Finn does not seem like the one for close quarters. He dresses himself well, and carries the air of a negotiator...I think his work is done in the shadows, not up front like the Commander's...Still, what does His Majesty mean by "challeged"?...
Nifelheim: *he smiles and walks back, sitting back in his throne and gestures to Grimoire* The floor is yours, daughter.
Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals
Post by ShadowFantasy 5/26/2016, 11:34 am
~Silvenheim Throne Room~
Ember: *she is perched atop Forcestus per usual, listening to the conversation within the room. Her face darkens as she stares at the floor, hearing that there was very little hope for the side of the war that she'd chosen. She knew that her secret had to be known but....how would everyone take it? Would they treat her differently? Would they call her by a different name altogether? She hugged herself in her sweatshirt, not knowing what to do or how to reveal her secret*
Prongs: *he notices Ember's discomfort and looks over to her* Lady Ember....is something troubling you?
Ember: *she snaps out of her darkened mood immediately and looks up, shaking her head quickly* N-No! Nothing's wrong! I-I just....
Terran: *he smiles over at Ember confidently, giving her a grin* If you've got something to say Ember, you're free to speak your mind as much as you like. None of us will judge you. *he looks to everyone else* Right guys?
Loria: *she smiles with Karn as they exchange looks and nod to each other, both of them paying attention to Ember now* Say what you need to say Ember. We're listening.
Ember: *she looks on, her mouth open slightly as she seems at a loss for words* Y-You guys.... *her eyes glance away for a moment, her mind whirling with the thought of needing to finally spill her secret. With a deep breath, she looks over to Garlith and confidence lights up in her eyes* Old man, I have something to say to everyone here. Including you. *she gently places her hand on Forcestus' cheek, a meek smile crossing her face before she hops down from his shoulder and goes to stand in the center of everyone's attention* I have a secret that has been with me ever since I was born. I've kept it close to my heart, locked away and abandoned in the hopes of my being able to create a happy, cheerful life. I wanted to disappear from the demon world altogether and live my life in peace and quiet. But.... *she looks solemnly at the ground and closes her eyes in defeat* I can't. It's not possible. Not anymore. *she looks up at Garlith, her eyes briefly shining with her grief before she turns around to face everyone else* Hear me now everyone. Because now, that secret must come to light. *she takes a deep breath and starts her story* Long ago, Lord Nifelheim, my father, had only a single daughter. Her name was Lilith and she was often called the Dark Princess for her incredible cruelty and heartless demeanor towards the other creatures of the world. She was young when she first discovered her curse. Its name was Soul Split. Simply put, it allowed her to split the soul of one being, including herself, into two souls. Lord Nifelheim heard of this ability and quickly took advantage of it, Lilith splitting herself in two halves in the effort of creating two of his precious daughter. But it didn't go the way that he'd planned it. On that day, Lilith was no more. Instead, two girls were gifted to the demon king; one evil to the core, embodying the negativity, hatred and bloodlust of his beloved daughter. Her name....is Grimoire. The other however, was not something he wanted. *she puts her fingers to her collarbone and looks nervously to the floor as she recounts the events from centuries ago* ....What remained of Lilith's light fell into the hands of the other soul. Her hope....her happiness....her kindness....and her mercy. *she looks to everyone, regret showing on her face* I am that soul. I am not the person you think I am. Ember is not my true name. I am what is left of Lilith's hopes and dreams. I am her light. But.... *she lets one palm come out as everyone looks at her in surprise. In the palm of her hand she held a very weak flame, the light of which seemed to be struggling to stay lit* My power is waning. The drawback of Lilith's curse is that, should the two halves of her soul remain separated for too long, their power will begin to fade into nothingness. Eventually.... *the weak flame in the palm of her hand flickers once, then goes out as she continues* ....I will disappear.
Loria: *she seems saddened by Ember's revelation* E-Ember....
Karn: *he and Terran both have hard, understanding looks on their faces as they exchange a nod before Karn speaks up* Is there a way that we can help you?
Ember: *she closes her open palm and nods, a weak flame of hope flickering in her eyes* Yes. *she turns to Garlith* Grimoire and I have been fighting, not because we want to, but because there is no other way. In order to prevent my light from disappearing forever, I must kill her and take her heart as my own. This would give me full control of Lilith's body and the ability to banish Grimoire's presence forever. However....should Grimoire finally win our conflict, the reverse will happen. So....King....no....Garlith. In order to save the kingdom that I love and the side of this war that I chose, I must ask for your assistance. *her eyes harden* Grimiore. Must. Perish. Lilith must be reawakened, not as a tool for our father to use as he sees fit, but to preserve my memory and to give you an ultimate light with which you can slay Nifelheim and finally acquire the peace within your kingdom that you so desire. So now I ask of you, not as a man, but as the King of the kingdom I've grown to love and cherish. *she kneels down onto her knees for the first time to King Garlith, closes her eyes and bows to him* I beg of you; please grant my final wish!
Zephyr: *he is watching from the shadows above the room, silently watching Ember falling to her knees and beg for the first time that he'd ever seen. His eye that was visible through his mask softens as he watches her, knowing that this kingdom must truly mean a great deal to her to make her beg for help as she was doing*
~Somewhere in the Great Swamps~
Catia: *she grimaces as she and Desmond wade through the sticky muck that was his homeland, looking over to him and smiling bravely. This was her first official mission with the masked boy....she couldn't mess this up!* Sorry if I'm slowing you down Desmond! I would fly but the trees are so thick here that I wouldn't be able to keep track of you. *she speaks, her usual flaming specter oddly absent. The angelic girl looks to where Cordelia would usually float, a regretful, saddened look spreading on her face. Her other half had disappeared after their fight and no matter how much she'd tried to call out for her, Cordelia had just up and vanished. Was the second half of her mind so upset with her that she didn't want to help her anymore?*
~Meanwhile in Titan's Rook~
*Echo and Jet are in the great hall alongside Raphael who was being comforted within Echo's gentle arms. Ser Horvath was nearby, listening as the giant mummer explained to not only the Myrrian knight before him, but to Kor the Hardened himself*
Jet: ....so naturally we wanted to help the poor kid. We've not really had much time for kids ourselves so seeing this kid being chased by that crazy looking demon and his....whatever the heck that wheel thing was....we had to help him out you know? *he looks to Echo as she's holding Raphael in her arms, sitting quietly and patiently up against a pillar within the room. He smiles at her and looks back to the two people before him* This may seem sudden, but the kid mentioned something rather disturbing to me. After we'd gotten him to settle down, he told us that he'd been sent here to be kept safe by his mother and father out on a large farm not very far from here. He says that they had originally planned on coming to town to sell their barley stocks before going back home but they received the news about something bad coming from the north and he had to be sent out of the room so that they could talk alone. Next thing he knew he was running off to this place aboard that huge dog of his and he'd gotten chased by that demon. I have no idea why that guy was trying to chase him down but he really wanted to kill the poor kid. *he looks to Ser Horvath, putting a hand on his hips as he narrows his eyes* This might ring a bell with you. When I asked the kid to describe his parents to me he said one of them was a myrrian woman with long green hair, green eyes and was always testy about manners. Any of that seem familiar to you?
Echo: *she's smiling and rubbing Raphael's shoulders as she holds him, humming a quiet tune with her eyes closed for once*
~Grimoire's Bastion, Throne Room~
Grimoire: *she grins wildly as she stands up, spreading her large bat-like wings widely and opening her arms to Krow* My dear, precious Krow....you have done exceedingly well to garner all of our attention as you've done. I still remember when you had simply caught our attention by your attempt at rallying the half-demons with your courage and show of power. Before you had done that, we thought of you half-mortal's as lowly dirt and didn't think twice about the power you could've given us. *her grin turns to a smile, pride shining in her eyes* Now look at you....you are one of my most cherished, powerful commanders and you lead my half of the half mortal's. You've achieved so many victories that many have begun to question if you could ever be defeated and put back into your place. That, my dear, is why you've received a tenuous challenge from your brother and one of my only remaining sons. Grom the Balrog has requested a formal duel in the bastion's new arena, being allowed to use his full might against yours in a glorious battle. *her wings fold slightly and she grins at Krow as she stands*
Krow: *she smirks, confidence in her eyes* And what pray tell do I owe this honor Lady Grimoire? What prize could be so great that it would garner even my attention towards something like this?
Grimoire: *she grins wider* A wager of course my dear! The winner of this spectacle will be granted the privilege of leading the entire Half-Demon army into glorious battle in Jotunheim in my name! What say you Commander Krow? Do you accept such a fantastic opportunity such as this?
Krow: *she grins slightly and stands up straight and as tall as she can, her form letting off wisps of black energy and shimmers of her Sorcery in anticipation* I will make you proud Lady Grimoire....I accept Grom's challenge!
Frost: *his jacket's collar hides his grin as he hears Krow's answer. Everything in his long term plan was now starting to fall into place....just like he wanted it to*
Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals
Post by Zazul 6/11/2016, 10:07 pm
~Silvenheim~
Garlith: *the king furrows his brow* This is the first time you have ever bowed to me, Ser Ember....I admit, I had pictured it much differently in my mind, under far better circumstances....However, I am reluctant, knowing now that your death would give Nifelheim exactly what he wants, to allow you to join this campaign. If your heart falls into the hands of Grimoire, we will all be doomed. So, as King of Mortals, and ruler of Myrr, I must order you to sta-
Ivar: Your Majesty, if I may?
Garlith: *he glances over, intrigued by Ivar's interjection* Commander Ivar?
Ivar: I understand your concerns, Your Majesty, however, we do not have the manpower to keep Ember safe here in Silvenheim AND fight a war against Nifelheim. If we take Ember along, perhaps, should the opportunity present itself, we can make good on her plan to acquire Lilith's power? Apart from Your Majesty and Ser Horvath, there are no other warriors in Myrr capable of facing the Demon King alone. Lilith may be what we need to turn the tide.
Lucas: There is wisdom in this plan, Father. If I am able to acquire an alliance with the Giants as well, we may have a force strong enough to campaign against Grimoire and bring Lilith to our side.
Argyle: *he then steps forward, finally speaking up after listening* Your Majesty, if I may be included? I have a request.
Garlith: *he turns his attention to Argyle now, a curious smile on his face* My Shield wishes to make a request? And what is this request, young Argyle?
Argyle: I would like to request that Ember the Ceaseless Flame join my Knight's Company.
Garlith: *the room suddenly goes silent, a sudden chill of tension in the room as Garlith seems surprised by Argyle's request* Oh? And what do plan to do with her, Ser Argyle? Protect her from Nifelheim during the campaign?
Argyle: No.
*the quiet suddenly suddenly takes a far more urgent sense of tension, Forcestus perking up with a bit of annoyance in his eyes*
Argyle: I've faced Nifelheim's attack dogs...Grimoire, Irituum...and this "Krow" and her squadron of Half-Demons. To just stay back and protect would be a huge mistake. It would give them an exact target to go after. No, this is a race against time and a battle of who can strike who first. This Shield will not protect...This shield will charge, and crash straight through Grimoire's front gate! I promise, I will help Ember collect Grimoire's head, and then I will help Lilith bring Nifelheim to his knees!
Emil: *his eyes bug right out of his head, growing almost larger than his body as his jaw hits the ground with enough force to make an indent* WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!
~The Great Swamp~
Desmond: *as he waded through the murky peat bog beneath his feet, Desmond couldn't help but think back to long ago, when he was only a boy...back to a time when he was scared in the bog, and an old Knight offered him his hand onto his horse...if only he had known who that old Knight really was back then...perhaps he would have ran deeper into the bog then....Still, he is a Knight of Myrr, and this is a mission of the utmost importance, not just to him, but to the girl with him as well. As he looked back at Catia, he couldn't help feeling a certain fondness for her. Her kiss from before had left an impression. For some reason he couldn't quite understand, he wanted to help Catia find the answers she was seeking. As they waded deeper, he spotted a small water snake slither through the murk past his leg. As it swam back, it gently raked its body across Catia's calf.*
~Titan's Rook~
Horvath: *his eyes immediately perk up when Jet mention's the boy's mother's description. He immediately walks over to Raphael, looking sternly at the boy as he eyed him up and down* Your mother...what was her name, boy?
Raphael: *he timidly snuggles in close to Echo, stuttering as he answers* M-M-M-Mary Tritian. M-My name is Raphael Tritian...and my father's name is Zeke....
Horvath: *upon hearing the names, his mouth goes slightly agape in horrible realization. He immediately rushes over to Glencour, a serious look of concern on his face* Call in the Rumpus, call in the Sun Flares, and call in your Smelter Knights. I want you to go to that farm and search for survivors, NOW!
Glencour: Ser Horvath, the mists may have cleared, but we don't know if there would even be-
Horvath: MARY WAS MY APPRENTICE, DAMN YOU, GLENCOUR! I already lost one, I will NOT lose another!
Kor: *the Giant Thane muses, sighing as he rises* Ser Horvath, while I understand your concern for your former apprentice, I cannot have you running roughshod in Jotunheim. Remember, the Vanguard, while they do help protect my people, are still only guests WITHIN the Mag-Theron Holds as well as Titan's Rook. I can't have an entire Vanguard armada running through my lands, else I will provoke a response from Lod, the current High King, who sits under Behemoth's thumb.
Horvath: *he growls angrily, knowing that Kor the Hardened spoke the truth* Damn you, Kor....If she dies, I swear I'll slaughter the entire Demon Kingdom, myself!
~Dis~
Nifelheim: *the Demon King sinks back into his throne, his fingers tapping rhythmically against each other as he smiles evilly* How delicious!~ The legendary Commander Krow, Champion of the Half-Mortals, against Grom the Balrog in single combat! A fight truly worthy of legend! It shall take place in three hours time, at the Arena! Fortune favor both fighters...and may the better Commander prove triumphant!
Irituum: *he smiles, his tongue sizzling as it glides across his teeth as he watches from the side with Frost* Oh my~ Things seem to be turning quite interesting...*it is revealed that Irituum is holding a human arm by the wrist. He then brings it up and bites a chunk out from the forearm, the meat sizzling against his teeth as he rips into the flesh and swallows in one gulp* I know we have our differences, Inquisitor, but just once, for me, before you go, won't you try some Apostle?~ *he offers the arm to Frost, jabbing the air between them with it as if to offer him it* It really is divine, especially when Daddy dearest kills the mortal with his poison....after all, what good is Avalonian cuisine without a little Demonic seasoning?~
~Silvenheim Throne Room~
Ember: *her eyes seem to sparkle when she looks up at Argyle, her mouth slightly open for a moment as she stares at him. His words however were something that sparked hope in her heart and she got down a little lower as she turned to him and bowed her head to him* Thank you Argyle.... *she sits up before returning to her feet and smiling gently at King Garlith* King Garlith, if you would allow it then I will accept Argyle's request to join his company. *she looks to Argyle and smiles to him a bit brighter* I'll be relying on you from now on....King's Shield.
Zephyr: *his voice rings out as he stands up above the room and hops off of his perch, his wings letting him glide down to the floor of the throne room safely* I never thought I would see the day that you would bow to another....Princess.
Ember: *as the other knights immediately draw their weapons and point them at Zephyr, her heart seems to stop. That voice....very few ever called her Princess that confidently. She whips around and spots Zephyr, her eyes staring at him in a mixture of horror and relief* Z-Zephyr....H-How....
Karn: *he narrows his eyes at Zephyr, the tightening of the grip on his sword audibly increasing the tension as he speaks sternly* Who are you and what is your business with Lady Ember?
Zephyr: *he sighs and scratches the back of his head* Sheesh....can't give a guy a moment alone with his superior can you?
Terran: *he chuckles, his own grip on his weapon loosening as he detects the blunt sarcasm in Zephyr's voice. He nods to the others and they reluctantly lower their weapons* Go on then. I don't know who you are but if the brat knows you then I won't complain about dealing with you.
Ember: *the fur on her tails bristles and she growls at Terran* Hey! I am not a brat!
Zephyr: *he clears his throat loudly* Still temperamental as always Princess....it's good to see you again. *he looks to her, only staring at her calmly as she returns his attention to him*
Ember: *she blushes shyly, more very strange behavior coming from her, and gulps* Z-Zephyr....What....How....
Zephyr: *he holds up his hand, Ember shying away a bit as if she were a child that were about to be scolded by their parents* You can relax Princess. I am only here because I feel as if I am owed some answers to the questions you left me with when one of your friends managed to take me down so many years ago.
Ember: *she looks down at the floor and tries to avoid eye contact with him* O-Oh....that....
Zephyr: *his tone and demeanor simply remain calm as he continues* Tell me Princess....You ran from home and yet.... *he looks up at Forcestus briefly before continuing* From what I've been told, you have been happy with your new friends from the mortal kingdom. Are their words true?
Ember: *she blinks for a moment before slowly looking up at him, her eyes narrowing as she glances back at Forcestus near her* Well....Yes actually. The Brave Companions are the greatest friends that I've ever had the pleasure of making. Minus Shagga's unnaturally lax nature and Wyald's maddening cackling.... *her head perks up a bit and a small smile cracks onto her face* Their counts of my happiness are true Zephyr. I wouldn't trade my time with everyone here for the world. I feel like I belong here....I actually feel like I belong here.
Zephyr: *he nods and continues, not pausing for a comment* And would you say that, should this continue despite everything that's going to happen from now and into the future, you would stay with them? To fight for them and to cherish them like your own family?
Ember: *she frowns at Zephyr and growls childishly* These people are my family Zephyr! I hated my real family....I hate what I am....If I could start over and be a mortal.... *she smiles up at Forcestus* I would do so in heartbeat. *she turns her attention back to Zephyr, the small smile still on her face* So yes. If I had the choice, I want to stay here. They make me happy.
Zephyr: *he nods once more and continues* Why did you not trust me with your desire to leave Dis? Do you feel as if I would've betrayed your trust as Legion had?
Ember: *at that question, the smile on Ember's face fades and she appears to stare into space out of a pause for thought* I-I....I didn't want to take the chance....After Legion and I fell apart I....I just wanted to be happy. Eddard and Mary....They knew I was the enemy but they helped me leave that place despite everything that they'd been taught. They rescued me from that place. But through all of that....I couldn't have brought myself to share my desires with you before I left. Part of me wanted to trust you and ask for your help but another part thought that you would've hurt me in the same way Legion did. I'd been through too much of that to want to put myself into that situation again. *she bows her head and grabs her arm in comfort* I'm sorry Zephyr....I should've believed in you and gave you a chance rather than just letting the mortal's think of you like they did. It's my fault that you died trying to find your answers....no one else's.
Zephyr: *he is quiet, Ember's answer seeming to make him pause for his own thoughts*
Ember: *she looks up at him, carefully padding over to him as she looks up at him in the eye* Can you ever forgive me for leaving you in the dark?
Zephyr: *he stares at Ember carefully for a few moments, briefly looking around at all of the friends and family that Ember had amassed over the many years that he'd been separated from her. They had all seemed so willing to help her and defend her despite everything that they'd been put through. Finally he looks down at Ember just as he catches a tear falling from the girl's cheeks. He kneels down to one knee and uses the back of his finger to wipe away the tear that had gone down her cheek, finally speaking after what had seemed like days of tense thought* I have already forgiven you. You are my Princess and I am your humble servant. Nifelheim may be your father but I would sooner return to my own tomb than return to his control. I want to stay by your side and watch you grow. And I've missed so very much of these memories that you've created with all of these mortal's. You and I have a lot of catching up to do.
Ember: *she stares at him out of a mixture of surprise and shock* Y-You....You want to stay with me? But....I'm a traitor to our race! A disgraced demon of tainted royal blood....does none of that matter to you?
Zephyr: *he chuckles and shakes his head* No, it doesn't. *he bows his head to Ember then, closing his eyes as he moves one arm over his bent knee and the other lays at his side* Princess E-....No....that's not right now is it? *he chuckles again* Lady Ember of the Ceaseless Flames; I humbly request to join you at your side as your servant once more. That is all I seek from our reunion. Will you allow it?
Ember: *she tears up and immediately wraps her arms around Zephyr's neck, sniffling as she nods silently to his request*
Zephyr: *at first he's surprised by Ember's sudden burst of affection. However, slowly the tenderness of the moment sinks in and he lets out a calm sigh. His arms wrap around her and he returns her hug tightly* You always were such a hassle to deal with....I missed you Ember.
Ember: *she sniffles and a big smile spreads on her face* I missed you too....you big dummy....
Terran: *he sighs and leans onto the hilt of his sword, watching the touching moment as Loria and Karn both sheathe their weapons and smile on with him* I guess that means we've got some extra firepower to help us out now huh guys?
~The Great Swamp~
Catia: *she shrieks out loud as she feels the snake rub up against her leg. In a moment of comic anxiety, the angelic girl's feet within the water light up from a small spell seal that had appeared beneath her and she leaps out of the water and straight into a nearby willow tree. Clutching onto the hanging branch as if for dear life, she whimpers loudly* Something touched meee....It was so slimy and gross and....Desmooond.... *she sniffles and looks at him, tears comically streaming down her face* Why did your home have to be a swamp? Everything here is so slimy and slithery and.... *she then starts to bawl out loud, another snake letting out a flick of its tongue and a quiet hiss on a branch near the girl's head. She shrieks again and immediately lets go of the branch she's clinging to, falling into the water with a big splash. She comes up a moment later, her dress clinging to her body and the feathers on her wings having been soaked to the bone. She quietly wades up to Desmond and clambers onto his back, her dainty arms wrapping around his neck and she rested her head onto his shoulder* Can we please just find some dry land and make a campfire? I'm sorry....I'm such a mess....
*Somewhere nearby, hidden deep within the shadows of the swamp's trees and wildlife, a pair of eyes is watching Catia and Desmond interact. Though they do not move, they never take their gaze off of the two. Soon more eyes join them, several sets of eyes on the pair as they continue to wander through Desmond's former homeland*
~Titan's Rook~
Echo: *she gently pulls Raphael in a little closer to her body, hugging him tenderly and rubbing his arm as if she were trying to help the boy calm down*
Jet: *he sighs and scratches the back of his head* Man....you're in a real bunch of trouble there aren't you old timer? *he looks to Echo's attempts at comforting Raphael, a smile forming on his face again. She looked so peaceful holding a child like that....it made him wonder if she wanted one of her own with him. Perhaps he'd ask her sometime and see what she said. Then a thought occurs to him and he looks to Kor* I just had a brilliant idea actually. There's a drow woman that traveled with us for a while. Had a hell of a voice and we let her put on a few shows with us. Anyway, her name is Lily and she's a cartographer that travels around a lot. If you don't mind me suggesting it, we could try to contact her with one of our troupe's eagle's and see if she'd take care of the kid for a while. What do you think? Of course, Echo and I would be more than happy to take care of him for the time being. *he smirks over at Echo, seeming to be perfectly content holding Raphael in her arms* Besides, she looks so happy holding him that I'd hate to separate her from him so quickly.
~Dis~
Frost: *he gets up from his position leaning up against the wall near Grimoire, ignoring Irituum's offer coldly as he walks over to Mary and offers her a hand to stand up* Are you alright?
Mary: *she looks up at him, narrowing her eyes as she slowly takes his hand to help her stand back up. What was it that the Wendigo had just called him? Inquisitor? Her eyes widen as the term finally clicks into her head* Y-You! You're the Inquisitor of Myrr?! What are you doing here?! Shouldn't you be back in Silvenheim?
Frost: *he shakes his head* I was taken as a trophy of Krow's the same as you. I cannot simply leave this place of my own accord.
Krow: *she smirks and gestures for her squad to come up to her* See to it that Mary gets to Baphamet for some treatment for any injuries that she might've incurred. *she glances back at Mary as she turns to leave the room and get ready for her upcoming arena matchup with Grom* I wouldn't want my new trophy to get a smudge on her pretty face now would I?
Mary: *she growls at Krow's statement but bites her tongue, Viper's cackling nearby signifying his delight with Krow's somewhat irritating comment* If I hadn't let her just up and kiss me....
Frost: *he sighs* It's better that you just do as you're told for the time being Lady Mary. Believe me when I say, rescue isn't coming anytime soon. *he turns and walks out of the room, ignoring everything else as he exits*
Grimoire: *she looks to Nifelheim with a sneering grin* Oh Father~ I think I would very much like this one to be in the audience near us while dear Krow is fighting Grom. I would very much like to gauge her reactions to being near the two of us for so very long....
Mary: *she gulps as she hears Lady Grimoire's request, her heart starting to beat wildly out of fear. Just what had she gotten herself into?*
~Three hours later, Grimoire Bastion Arena~
???: *a scream is heard followed by the splattering of blood as another demon is cut down in the arena beneath him as a very cleanly and professionally dressed demon with an oddly starved appearing frame and messy brown hair lets out a loud hoot* Ooooh and another demon falls in the arena to the Chimera's! Man the janitor's are going to be maaaad about this one! It was slow and BLOODY! *he speaks, the crowd cheering as a small cleanup crew quickly enters the arena's battlefield, leashing a very angry Chimera off of the battlefield while another smaller team started to pick up and drag what was left of the previous combatant off as well. The demon, an announcer that had been hired for the arena, looked down at the small clipboard on his desk. A piece of flesh slid off of his right wing as he saw the next matchup, his voice quiet as he starts to speak again* Ladies. And. Gentlemen. ARE YOU READY FOR TONIGHT'S MAIN EVENT?!?!
Krow: *the crowd cheers and whistles as a clearly anxious and embarrassed Krow is seen in one of the arena's various fighter's pits. Her tail is out, lashing wildly back and forth as she growls loudly* Did Lord Nifelheim really have to hire such a ridiculous sounding thing as an announcer for this place? I'm almost sorry I'm the next thing to enter that arena....
Frost: *he's leaning up against a wall nearby, staring at Krow as he watches her pace back and forth anxiously* You really must work on your tolerance of others Krow. It would do you well to have patience for those who do not share your own sentiments.
Krow: *she groans loudly as the announcer speaks up once again* But Rancid?! Seriously?? That man has nothing going for him save for that damned mouth of his! Ugh! *she stamps her foot out of frustration, crossing her arms and tapping her foot in irritation*
Rancid: Enough with the small fry fighters and wimpy creatures folks! Time for some REAL action! Tonight for your viewing pleasure I present to you....weighing in at a lovely 142 pounds of nothing but sweet, sweet silver tongue. She's our mistress of the half-mortals, our cream of the crop and our King's favorite commander....she burns, she kills and she demolishes everything in her path!
Krow: *she lets out a loud cry of frustration and fires a large fireball at the gate in front of her, blasting it out of its own mechanisms as she walks out into the arena with a very surprised crowd. She shouts up at the announcer box, her voice echoing within the arena thanks to her silencing outburst* WILL YOU JUST GET ON WITH IT?!
Rancid: *he grins and continues* LADIES AND GERMS! OUR HALF-MORTAL COMMANDER, KROOOOW!
Krow: *as the crowd starts to cheer loudly once again, she sighs and walks forward to the center of the arena, her irritation with the overly lavish announcement of her presence still written all over her face* Sheesh....Big mouthed little....Ugh....
Grimoire: *she laughs and cackles with Viper whom was standing nearby* That's our Krow alright! Straight to the point! Hahahaaaa!
Viper: *he grins widely as he offers Mary some of the blood red wine in the messy goblet in his hand* Wine dearest Mary? It might help you take some of the edge off!
Mary: *she grimaces as she watches Viper's gesture, shaking her head and gently pushing the goblet away as she turns her attention back to the arena* N-No I'm alright. I may be amongst demons but I refuse to relax being surrounded by them....
Grimoire: *she frowns and crosses her legs, setting her head into her hand with her elbow resting on the arm of her chair in a gesture of boredom* Sheesh....You always were a massive buzzkill....
Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals
Post by Zazul 6/16/2016, 11:22 am
~Silvenheim~
Garlith: *he narrows his eyes slightly at the request* You wish to join his Company, Ser Ember? I am honestly surprised. I would think you would rather join Loria's Company, alongside Ser Forcestus and Ser Wyald...
Wyald: You kidding!? With how often the Blade and Shield work together, those two will still be able to fight together! OOOOOOOKIKIKIKIKI! Besides, considering how Argyle here's just out and declared war on Grimoire and Nifelheim themselves, I'm pretty sure that's a good thing for our Ember!
Forcestus: *he smiles and nods, affirming that he supports Ember's decision.*
Argyle: *he smiles and then turns to Ember and Zephyr* Well, since Zephyr just declared his loyalty to Ember, I suppose its only fitting that I welcome both of you. Welcome, Ser Ember the Ceaseless Flame, and Zephyr, to my Company!
~The Great Swamp~
Desmond: *he sighs, picking Catia up and carrying her through the muck on his back. He keeps his eyes open as he treks, finally spotting a large mound of land jutting out from the water. He wades over and sets Catia down on the earth, unloading the large totes he was carrying on his back as well* You start setting up the tent, I'll cut down some firewood and build us a bonfire. Afterwards, I'll go try to find us some food. In the meantime...just try to get yourself dry?...*he turns around and jumps up into the trees, disappearing into the thick of the branches*
???: *in the brushes around the bog, the eyes continue to follow Catia. A deep voice speaks out from the center of the group of eyes, a large pair in the center squinting at Catia as it speaks to the smaller ones around it.* Y'all follow the Seether...We gon' keep our eyes on this'un....She smells awful lot likes the Burning Man...Grrrroooo....
~Titan's Rook~
Kor: I remember meeting this "Lily"...she is a friend of Eddard and the Brave Companions. If I recall, this boy's mother was also a close ally of them. Ser Horvath, would you object?
Horvath: I remember Lily as well...I remember that she disappeared shortly before Eddard vanished. While I have long forgiven her for abandoning the Brave Companions, I am concerned she will do the same to the boy eventually, should something come up....
Glencour: Actually, I have seen her at Silvenheim. I believe she is more than adequate for the task. Ser Horvath, you are stricken with worry and grief over the discovery of another of your Apprentices being alive and possibly in Demon hands. You must collect yourself, so that we may formulate a proper strategy for the future campaign, should Thane Kor, here, manage to sway the other Thanes to our cause.
Horvath: *he sighs, looking down in shame as he realizes the truth to Glencour's words* My apologies....I am supposed to be representing Myrr as Horvath Queenkiller, Master-At-Arms....and here I am, letting my emotions run away with me....
Glencour: We Forward Commanders joined not because of the legend of Horvath Queenkiller...we joined the Vanguard, because of our undying respect for Horvath Crewn, the commander and warrior who brought us up to where we are now. You need not apologize for being you and showing concern for someone you care about.
~Grimoire Bastion~
Brim: *sitting in the announcer's booth with Rancid is a short, stocky Demon with chiseled features, as if he was carved from red obsidian. He has two, upward curving black bull horns growing from the sides of his head as well as a chin so large, you could rest a glass of water on it. The Demon's voice is melodious and energizing as he speaks* That's right, Rancid! Krow, Commander of the Half-Mortals! This is the one responsible for freeing Irituum the Wendigo from the clutches of the Vanguard, as well as the one who brought down the traitor, Ezekiel, who's corpse is now hanging above us as we speak! *he gestures up to the ceiling, revealing Ezekiel's charred corpse, hanging like a chandelier on spiked, thorned, iron stakes that hung from chains connected to the ceiling. Burned, blue blood still seemed to drip down from the wounds inflicted by the stakes.* I'm Brim Stone, and this is Rancid Filth! Welcome to the Grimoire Bastion Arena! Tonight, our main event is a clash of titans! Krow, Commander of the Half-Mortals and undefeated champion of Lady Grimoire, versus Grom the Balrog, First Born of Grimoire, and Commander of the Half-Demon Army as a whole! The stakes?! Command of the Half-Demon Army during the great campaign in Jotunheim, for the honor of Lady Grimoire herself! Who will win?! *suddenly, the gates on the other side of the arena slowly creep open as the crowd goes quiet. Then, a loud, stomp is heard from inside the gate as a large shape slowly forms in the black gloom. Out from the gate emerges Grom, in all his rippling strength. The crowd goes wild immediately, chants of "Grom! Grom! Grom! Grom!" echoing all throughout the arena, only to be matched by chants of "Krow! Krow! Krow! Krow!". A few Demons near the gate's mouth all scream in admiration and joy, many of them bowing to Grom with their hands, as if he was a god.* AND NOW, PLEASE WELCOME TO THE ARENA, WEIGHING IN AT 469 POUNDS, GROOOOOOOM THE BAAAAALLLROOOOOOOG!
Grom: *the crowd keeps cheering as he stands face to face with Krow, ignoring the applause as he looks around and finally sets his gaze upon Krow* You're standing tall, Krow...far taller than you did when we first fought. It was your tie with me that gave you the platform you needed to ascend to this height. But now....I will stand in your way yet again. Control of the Half-Demons is mine and mine alone...I will not relinquish it so easily....not even to you. Prepare yourself, Commander...*he steps back three steps before standing ready, his aura suddenly igniting like an inferno, so furiously that the waves of heat blast the debris left from previous fights back to the very edges of the arena, leaving only the now clean floor* I will hold nothing back this time...
~Grimoire Bastion, the Stands~
Pike: *his mouth is agape as he watches from the front row of the stands, the other members of Krow Squadron with him* I keep forgetting....THE BALROG IS A FREAK OF NATURE OH. MY. DIS!
Tonpetty: I never expected this to be an easy fight for the Commander....She will need all the strength in her arsenal for this fight...
Argon: *he notices a Demon in the stands selling hot cakes wrapped in black cloth. His stomach comically grumbles cutely as he watches the cakes. He then tugs on Tonpetty's elbow to get his attention*
Tonpetty: *he looks to Argon and raises an eyebrow* Yes?
Argon: *he point at the salesman and licks his lips* I want one...
Tonpetty: *he blows a bit of steam out from his nose as he then calls over to the salesman, who runs over meekly* Four. Now.
Salesman: *the salesman nervously gives each member of Krow Squadron a hot cake before running away in terror*
Argon: *he smiles and contently bites into his confection as Eliazar sniffs it and studies it curiously*
Tonpetty: *he eats the entire cake he got in one bite as Pike nervously gnaws on it while watching the fight*
Nifelheim: *he chuckles at Viper's antics before waving to him* Oh let the sorry lass be, Viper. You and I will have our fun with her later, trust me...~ *he then turns his attention back to the fight* Now, show me how much you've grown, Krow....
Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals
Post by ShadowFantasy 6/16/2016, 12:23 pm
~Silvenheim Throne Room~
Zephyr: *he lets go of Ember and stands up, putting a hand to his chest and bowing to Argyle* So long as I remain with the princess, you may consider me an ally that will do his best to serve your purposes.
Ember: *she wipes away the last of her tears and gives a respectful bow to Argyle for once* Thank you for being so accepting of everything that's been happening. You haven't a clue how much that means to me. Expect me to stick with you and your company from now until Lilith is reborn.
Loria: *she walks over and puts a hand on Forcestus' shoulder with a smile* To think you and I were fighting once so long ago on such uneven ground. Now look at us! *she gives him a smile, her eyes sparkling a little* Now we're comrades in arms.
Terran: *he walks over to Lilah and puts his arms behind his head in a lazy gesture* So....are ya busy later tonight?
Lilah: *she looks over at Terran, blinking out of confusion* Not very....I was about to ask Jaeger out for some milk at the bar nearby. It's been a while since he and I have had a chance to talk.
Terran: *he nods* Would you mind if I tagged along?
Lilah: *she smiles* You may. It is not often that Jaeger and I have company for our outings that do not merely wish to drink the night away.
Loria: *she's watching everyone milling about and speaking with each other when she suddenly feels herself grow dizzy. She falls to a knee and holds her head, closing her eyes and trying her best to shake the spell away*
Karn: *he's the first to spot Loria's dizzy spell and he rushes over to her, kneeling down to help her stand* Loria! Are you alright? *he looks at her face and notices that she seemed a little more pale than usual, prompting him to nod over to Sol as if to tell him to come over*
Ember: *she hears the commotion and turns around to see Loria having her dizzy spell, jogging over and bending down to look her over with her soul sight* Loria....your soul flame is so weak....are you-! *she stops as she spots some odd within her soul flame. Inside of the bright blue flame of Loria's soul, another weaker blue flame flickered around, it's coloring almost indistinguishable were it not for the small amounts of gold that flickered within it. She stares at it, her eyes glowing as her mouth goes slightly agape with surprise* Loria....why is there a second soul flame inside of yours...?
Loria: *her eyes go wide as the realization of what was going on suddenly dawns on her, making her hand instinctively go down to her stomach and her heart to skip a beat* A....what....? S-Second.... *she looks up at Ember, a mixture of confusion and happiness spreading onto her face* E-Ember....L-Lily....She had a vision of me.... *her smile grows a little bigger* I-I....I'm going to be a mom....
Karn & Ember: WHAT?!?!?
Ember: *she immediately turns and glares daggers at Lily* YOU LITTLE BIMBO!! WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY ANYTHING?!
Lily: *she waves her hands in front of her quickly* I-I didn't think it needed to be public information!! I don't like interfering with the futures of my visions! It goes against my morale's!
Karn: *he puts a hand onto Loria's shoulder, his eyes not upset, but worried* Are you going to be alright Loria? If what Ember says is true, you'll be having to be a lot more careful from now on. Not to mention what we'll need to do once it comes time for it to be born....Are you sure you can handle it? *his tone is hushed, hoping that he can keep what things he had wanted to say between Loria and himself*
Loria: *she shakes her head as she shakily tries to stand* I-I'll be alright....To be honest....I'm more happy than upset right now....
Cameron: *Karn nods as Cameron runs over and hugs Loria's waist* Momma Loria's going to be a real momma? *she has a broad smile on her face* I'm so happy for you Momma! I can't wait!
~The Great Swamp~
Catia: *she nods solemnly to Desmond's words as he goes off to do his part of the tasks at hand, carefully trying to wring her white dress out with her hands. After she'd finished that, she carefully starts putting together a makeshift spot between a small cluster of willow trees for a bedding area. She looks around and finds some reeds for weaving together for a kind of waterproof roofing material and sets to work, an exhalation of breath signifying how she felt about being so uncomfortable in the place that Desmond was born in. She felt bad about it....*
~Titan's Rook~
Jet: *he walks over and puts a comforting hand onto Horvath's shoulder* Ah don't sweat the small stuff man. Seeing as Lily's in Silvenheim, I'll just tell the troupe of ours to head on over there to drop the kid off. If the people there want, we could even put on one of our shows. Calm the waters a little you know? *he walks over to Echo and puts a hand to her shoulder, squeezing her shoulder in the manner of communication that only they understood* 'C'mon Echo. We're gonna take Raphael with us to Silvenheim so that he can be taken care of safely. Let's go tell the troupe that we're gonna leave first thing tomorrow morning to head on over there okay?'
Echo: *she looks up to Jet, smiling and nodding to his fingered words before she carefully nudges Raphael into a more comfortable position so that she could carry him*
Jet: *he winks at Ser Horvath* We're gonna go and make sure that our troupe is ready for traveling at first light tomorrow morning. If you really feel like we need it, you can give us a bodyguard or two from your fancy Vanguard there. If not then we should be able to manage on our own. Echo and I make a pretty good team. *he says with a smile to Echo*
~Grimoire Bastion, the Stands~
Viper: *his grin fades momentarily as Nifelheim waves him off, quickly returning upon hearing the words about having their fun with her later. He cackles and gives Mary a chilling, fanged tooth grin* Very well then~ Enjoy the show Miss Tritian. While you can at least....hehehehehe~
Mary: *she shivers as she feels a cold tingle go up her spine from their words, hugging herself a little as she turns her attention back to the arena. Just what had she really gotten herself into?*
~Grimoire Bastion, Arena~
Krow: *she smirks as she lets her arms wreathe themselves in hellfire, her form shifting and shimmering like heat waves as her eyes begin to fleck with black aura* I'm not the same weakling that you fought before Grom....If you will hold nothing back this time, then I will ensure that you take the full brunt of everything that I've learned! *her aura suddenly begins to crackle with black lightning as she lets her wings appear in a flash of hellfire. Wasting not a moment of time, she gives them a heavy flap and soars high up into the arena's sky. A hand goes above her head as she looks down at Grom with a smug smirk, dozens of globes of hellfire forming behind her. As they grew in size, the globes soon changed their shapes, narrowing into cones of liquified hellfire that seemed to steal the oxygen away from the air around them. Soon dozens of arrow-like projectiles were formed and all of them angled to aim at Grom* I seem to remember you using a similar trick like this on me the first time we'd clashed! Allow me to return the favor! *she swipes her hand down and all of the arrows start rocketing off at Grom where he stood, one after another. A barrage of liquid hellfire impacted Grom's position, the arrows changing their direction as Krow watched him try to dodge them. She was tracking his position, waiting for an opening to strike up close. She wanted to show him how much she'd grown....both in sheer strength of aura and of her mind as a tactician*
Rancid: *he lets out a loud hoot as he watches the flashy display from Krow's barrage of hellfire missiles* What a show ladies and gentlemen! Commander Krow sure knows how to light up the sky! Or, in this case, the arena itself! *he watches as the bombardment keeps going, seeming to continuously coat the floor of the arena in the liquified, hellish flames* The entire floor of our precious arena is a sea of searing heat and fire right now folks! Our cleanup crew is gonna have their work cut out for them tonight!
Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals
Post by Zazul 6/22/2016, 1:46 am
~Silvenheim, Throne Room~
*as everyone moves in around Loria, mixtures of concern and joy on their faces, the chiefest among those feeling both was Argyle. He immediately knelt down, placing his hand on Loria's shoulder and smiling. However, before he could speak, he could already hear, behind him, the sounds of Ser Gryn and Ser Leroy struggling.*
Ser Gryn: Ser Zorrin, please contain your rage! *the Mag-Theron, easily the same size as Forcestus, struggled as even his strength was put to the test against the angered Zorrin*
Ser Leroy: Think about this, man! Its Argyle, not some pissy punk from the slums or some irresponsible half-wit!
Zorrin: *the Drow's face was hidden behind his full helm, but it was clear that under it was most likely the face of blind fury. As soon as he locked his eyes onto Argyle, he rips his Threader Rapier, a long, sharp dragon tooth fashioned into a deadly rapier, off from his belt and hurls the scabbard off the blade, the blade immediately glowing with a sickly green mist from the tip as venom begins to coat the tip. He shoves Leroy aside and Gryn immediately steps back, Zorrin calmly standing ready* Stand up, Argyle! Now!
Argyle: S-Ser Zorrin! Wait! Please! What is the cause for this anger?!
Zorrin: YOU DARE TO ASK ME THE CAUSE OF MY ANGER?! YOU HAVE SOILED MY ONLY LIVING DAUGHTER'S HONOR AND YOU ASK ME THE CAUSE OF MY ANGER?! DRAW YOUR BLADE, KING'S SHIELD!
Argyle: I-
Zorrin: DRAW IT, YOU PISSY LITTLE SHIT! I DEMAND JUSTICE!
Jaeger: *his hair immediately stands on end as his nails grow slightly, sharpening like claws. Argyle and Loria were able to hold their own under unfavorable conditions, and on top of that...Nigel revealed a shocking piece of information about Argyle's parentage while he was on board his fleet on the way back to Silvenheim. Argyle was Horvath's grandson, same as Lucas and the other royal children....and that they shared the same mother. Ser Horvath had gone above and beyond for Argyle to live....and if Zorrin tried to kill him, he and the other Commanders would surely need to defend him. Argyle seemed to not be interested in fighting, and therefore if Zorrin were to attack, as his Grandfather's sworn Company members, they would be honor-bound to jump in and possibly kill the knight....not an easy task, considering the Royal Knights, while more publicly acknowledged than the King's Knights, varied in strength. Zorrin was old, and very strong still. His speed was easily comparable to Jaeger if he did not use his Sorcery to boost his own speed...As he glanced around the room at the other Commanders present, From Ivar, to Lilah, to Zigg and James, and lastly even the calm Nigel, he could tell that they knew as well. And they were all ready to do it...because the minute they would, Gryn and Leroy, who were legendary as combatants during the first few years of Myrr's first war with the Demons and Dragons, would surely come to his aid. An all-out brawl would be most unfavorable...*
Garlith: *he moves to speak, watching for anyone to make a move however, first. If he timed his burst correctly, it would stun whoever was going to move.*
~The Great Swamp~
*moments later, the sound of the brushes rustling echoes out. Suddenly, out in the water, the brush parts as Desmond walks back to the camp, his cloak off his body and tied around his waste and his mask remaining on his face. His hair is long and dark in color, but ragged and shaggy as well, hanging back off his shoulders. He seems to be hauling was is revealed to be a giant crab claw, walking back to the camp and tossing the vast piece of crab onto the ground next to the fire*
Desmond: I caught dinner. Bog Crab, a delicacy from the Great Swamp. Everything on the crab itself is toxic due to its diet of poisonous leeches, snails, and insects....but its claw, however, does not contain any toxin, and is edible....*he sighs, sitting down and scratching the back of his head, blushing slightly* I know...this place probably seems really unappealing to you...trust me, there's a reason I was happy to leave here....My people, a tribe called the Mist Seethers, are assassin-like swamp folk who specialize in guerrilla warfare, hit and run tactics, and stealth assassination. They claim to draw their protection from the favor of something....something incredibly horrifying. I know...I've seen glimpses of what its wrath....or pleasure....can do.....*he clenches his knee slightly, taking a deep breath before continuing* My family...the reason I left this place was because my family left me out in the swamp...the be found by and sacrificed to whatever thing they worshiped...I was left out there to die, but Ser Phobos saved me...The truth is, the only way we are going to find any information on where this Xytos might be...is either by finding and asking my people, or our sworn enemies....a tribe of indigenous Kong, known as the Bayou Kong.
~Grimoire Bastion, Arena~
Grom: *he crouches and then dashes back, flying back as he brings back his fists. He then roars out, delivering a barrage of explosive fists that collide against the oncoming hellfire blasts. Grom knew full well that this was only the beginning...and this was only a taste of what Krow could do now. However...he was impressed. He smirks and roars out as the floor coats with liquid hellfire, the flames slightly burning as he lifts a foot and inspects it. He then growls and punches downward, a vast explosion rippling out from beneath him and obliterating the liquid hellfire around him*
Brim: *the demon sits dramatically back in his seat* MY LORD NIFELHEIM! Did you see that, Rancid!? Grom the Balrog has matched each of Krow's Hellfire Spears, blow for blow! He even cleared the field of liquid hellfire! Such ferocity! Such domination!
Grom: *he growls as he looks right at Krow, smirking slightly* My turn. *his arms rocket to life as the jets on his elbows fire up. Grom suddenly flashes, appearing behind Krow and grabbing her around the waist mid-air. Using his center set, he grabs her waist in a painful bear-hug. His lower set of arms reach down and grab her ankles, locking her legs and stopping any struggle. Finally, his upper arms wrap around her arms, holding her in a full nelson hold. He then bends his body back, stretching her painfully as he flips mid-air and falls, head-first, towards the arena floor. He roars loudly as he suplexes Krow into the ground at breakneck speeds, the impact followed by a raging explosion of fire and smoke. A small object can be seen flung out from the smoke cloud as Krow is thrown from the fire hard, rocketing through the air as Grom is revealed to be standing among the burning ground and smoke, his form obscured but more menacing than ever*
~Grimoire Bastion, Stands~
Irituum: *he is sitting at the foot of Grimoire's throne, between his father and Grimoire's feet, watching the fight eagerly as he lounges and enjoys a goblet of wine of his own, as well as another haunch of Dragon Apostle limb* Oh my!~ Go, Kroooooow! One, two, three, four, gee I hope there's blood and gore!~ SHEEEEEHAHAHAHAHAHA!~
Tonpetty: Pike, Argon...this is not good....
Pike: The Commander is strong, but I've never really seen anyone give it to her up close like that....
Argon: That slam wasn't meant to be an ending blow...
Tonpetty: You could tell, too?
Pike: *he has a confused look on his face as he looks back and forth between Tonpetty and Argon* Huh?! He just made an explosion out of a suplex!? who even does that?!
Argon: Just as the Commander's initial attack was a "greeting" of sorts, it would appear that this is the Balrog's "Reply"...
Tonpetty: And he's telling The Commander...."Hold back, and you will die"....
~Silvenheim Throne Room~
Terran: *he lets out a sigh, the sigh turning to a growl as he hears Zorrin drawing his blade and demanding that Argyle be drawing his. In a near instant, not only has Karn and Loria put their hands onto the hilts of their weapons, but the normally aloof and calm earthen knight draws his blade and points it at Zorrin. Soon after its tip points at Zorrin, a long beam of blue energy extends his reach just past Zorrin's throat. He glares daggers at Ser Zorrin's angered stance, the other knights in the room suddenly watching with surprised eyes*
Karn: *he is the first to speak as he puts his hands out towards the angry Terran and Zorrin* Whoa whoa whoa! Terran what are you doing?!
Terran: *he ignores Karn as his eyes begin to glow with his Sorcery* Zorrin, I want you to listen to me very carefully; were it not for the fact that you are not only my fellow knight but an elder, I would have already dropped you to the ground for your serious disrespect towards the announcement of a new life being brought into the world by Gaia's blessings.
Loria: *she seems speechless, having never seen Terran truly frustrated or angry before*
Karn: *he sighs as he hears why Terran was angry, walking over to where Ser Zorrin's scabbard had landed and picking it up* Okay....Before this truly gets out of hand, let's all just take a moment to calm down. *he walks over to Terran and puts a hand on his shoulder, Lilah still tense from the warrior having drawn his blade so suddenly* I get that you're angry Terran. I know how much of a devout follower of Gaia you are. But right now, we really don't need to be starting a fight over something like this.
Terran: *he glances at Karn out of the corner of his eyes, watching him for a moment before letting out a long, calming breath* Yeah....That's true. However, I think we're both in the right at the current moment. Not religiously or ideally, but in the way that fighting amongst ourselves isn't the way to solve this.
Loria: *she nods slowly and hesitantly speaks up* Father....Terran is right. Fighting over my honor isn't the right thing to do. It wasn't completely Argyle's fault to begin with. I knew you would've been angry over something like this but I didn't care enough to respect it. This is just as much my fault as it is his. *she takes her weapon off of her back and slowly sets it down onto the floor before going to stand in front of Argyle as if to prove her point*
Terran: *he gives Loria a small smirk, seeing what she wanted to do. He looks back over to Zorrin, his weapon still emitting the sharp blue light as he spoke* Ser Zorrin the Threader, until this conflict can be resolved without the need for violence, I propose the confiscation of your weapon until this matter has been concluded. Do I have votes that are within favor?
Karn: *he walks over to Zorrin and holds the open end of his scabbard up to the point of his rapier* I am in favor of Terran's proposal.
Lilah: *she too speaks up, her muscles relaxing now that it seemed a favorable solution had been found to their problem* I too am in favor of his proposal. Violence between ourselves is not how a knight should behave upon hearing news like this.
Ember: *she growls but crosses her arms, staring at Zorrin alongside everyone else for the moment* Fine....I agree to his proposal too. He isn't wrong.
Prongs: *he nods to everyone's sentiments* I too agree to the confiscation of Ser Zorrin's weapon until this can be resolved. Fighting amongst ourselves is exactly what the enemy would want.
Kiria: *she chimes in from beside Emil* I might not be a knight like you guys but I get what you're all saying. If I can be allowed to put my vote through as well, I am in favor too.
Loria: *she smiles at everyone's support softly before returning her focus to Zorrin* Please Father....I don't want to fight with you over this. Not like this.
Terran: *he smiles, his muscles relaxing as he lets his eyes stop glowing and retracts the blue beam of energy from his sword. He calmly sheathes his sword onto his back and walks over to take the scabbard from Karn. Slowly he moves the sheath over Ser Zorrin's rapier and puts a hand onto his arm* I assure you that I mean no disrespect when I do this Ser Zorrin. But I won't just sit idly by and let you disrespect the teachings of Gaia like you just did. Believe me when I say, you are perfectly within your rights to want justice for this given that you're a drow. I won't stand in your way if you wish to scold Loria or Argyle over this matter yourself. But under no circumstances were you within your rights to up and point your blade at, not just my comrade, but my fellow King's Knights. *his eyes showed, not anger now, but understanding and reason as he spoke with Zorrin. His tone had also returned to his usually calm and casual voice*
~The Great Swamp~
Catia: *having finished the setting up of their campsite and gotten a decently sized fire going, the angelic girl smiles at Desmond's words and carefully sits down onto her knees. She puts one hand into her lap and lays the other over the top of his hand* Then we'll find them together. That's why we were paired up for this mission right? *she gives his hand a comforting squeeze, her clothing still clinging to her skin a little bit from her earlier, rather unexpected, dip into the water* I'm okay Desmond, really I am. I'm just....not terribly used to being in this kind of environment. I'm actually very happy to have you here with me rather than anyone else.
~Grimoire Bastion, Arena~
Rancid: The Balrog sure is in rare form tonight Brim that's for sure! That was quite the heavy blow that our Commander Krow took from him! *he responds to Brim as he watches Krow getting up shakily from Grom's attack, blood dripping form the sides of her mouth as her eyes continue to fleck with black color* SHE'S STILL ABLE TO FIGHT AFTER THAT?! By the unholy name of Nifelheim! Krow sure is one tough Half-Mortal!
~Grimoire Bastion, The Stands~
Mary: *she's watching the fight go on, her face not showing the least bit of surprise as she watches the display of power between the two half-demon commanders*
Grimoire: *she notices Mary's concentration on the fight in front of them and gives her a sharp-toothed grin* Interested in my dear children Miss Tritian?
Mary: *she glances at Grimoire briefly before returning her gaze to the arena* You could call it that....I had heard tale of a demon on black, raven-like wings wiping an entire city off of Jotunheim's map. It's still difficult for me to believe that such a creature could even exist....
Grimoire: *she grins wider and laughs* Hahaha! That would be our dear Krow you heard about! *she looks back to the arena as Krow's form starts to split and a black energy starts to encroach her hands* She's a prodigy....being able to master so many powerful things so quickly....It makes me quite proud of her.
~Grimoire Bastion, Arena~
Rancid: What's this?! IS THAT MALICE MANIPULATION?! Brim, are my eyes deceiving me or can our half-mortal commander control TWO forms of demon aura attacks at once?!
Krow: *she swipes her hand, the other eleven clones of herself following her movements as a pure black longsword appears in all of their hands. She takes a one-handed fighting stance, her face full of concentration* I didn't think I'd ever have to use this kind of thing on you Grom....I hope you're ready.... *she brings the blade back as black energy quickly starts to collect and condense itself onto her blade. The energy quickly starts to become unstable as it crackles and distorts itself on her weapon* Because I can't control it quite yet! *she reels back and swings her blade at the air in front of her, the clones doing the same as the malice energy that had condensed itself onto Krow's blade releases itself into the air. It quickly forms into a huge, whirling mass of unstable malice energy as all of the clones release a burst of the same energy at Grom. They speed towards Grom and start to grind up against his body as they make contact, a loud screeching sound not unlike hundreds of tortured souls echoing out into the arena. Krow, seeing her attack connecting, forms more malice energy onto her blade and dashes straight at Grom, her clones following suit as they all swing their blades at him*
Rancid: BY THE GODS OF OLD!!! IS KROW CRAZY?! SHE JUST LAUNCHED HERSELF STRAIGHT AT THE BALROG TO ENGAGE HIM IN CLOSE QUARTERS COMBAT! *he shouts, the excitement of the unexpected attack clearly getting to not just him, but the roaring crowd as well*
~Grimoire Bastion, The Stands~
Mary: *she clutches her ears as the screeching sounds reaches them, holding her head with her eyes shut tightly. The sounds were so sharp and loud that they were hurting her ears!*
Grimoire: *she and Viper laugh in excitement as Grimiore nearly jumps out of her seat* THAT'S IT KROW! RIP HIM TO SHREDS!!!
Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals
Post by Zazul 7/14/2016, 1:02 am
~Silvenheim~
Zorrin: *he sighs, his shoulders slumping in slight shame as he allows his sword to be sheathed. Ser Karn and Ser Terran spoke the truth...Yes, according to his people's culture, children out of wedlock were considered a dishonor upon the mother and her family, but, as Leroy and Gryn stated, this was no urchin or unseemly barbarian, nor was it some rogue or brigand, but Argyle that was the father in this situation...* You are right...*he calmly ties his rapier back to his belt before walking over to Argyle and standing face to face with him, so close that he could feel Argyle's breath through his helm. The boy was nervous, and with good reason...However, Zorrin knew Argyle was a man of honor and integrity.* You will watch over that child, you will take care of my daughter, and you will continue to uphold the honor of this kingdom, Argyle....do you understand? *his voice was firm, hard, and commanding, but also understanding. He knew deep down that Argyle would uphold these...however, as Loria's foster father, he wished to put a bit of fear in the boy, if only to relieve his own anger slightly*
Argyle: *he nods nervously* Y-yes, Ser Zorrin!
Zorrin: Good. Because if you don't, boy...there won't be a knight in this kingdom that will keep me from finding you. *he then turns and looks to King Garlith* My apologies for causing such a disturbance in the proceedings, my King, and my apologies to all present for my outburst...however, I am a father, and a Drow, and as such had to do what I felt was within my rights. *he bows his head* If I may be excused, I have much to think about on this matter, my King....
Garlith: *his face remains hard, if not slightly annoyed* You may take your leave, Ser Zorrin, to reflect on your thoughts. Just know this...I will need the King's Rangers ready for the upcoming campaign. Yours are some of the best scouts in my Kingdom. We will need them for the upcoming war...
Zorrin: *he nods, saluting before bowing to Garlith, low and respectfully* My King...*he then turns and walks out, but not before glancing at Loria, stopping, and then looking to the door as he walks off*
Argyle: *he brings Loria into his arms, his eyes locked on Ser Zorrin as he watches him exit* When your father gets protective of you, he can be really scary...
Lucas: *he turns back to Garlith, scratching his head and chuckling slightly* Well...awkward but joyous news aside, we should return to the campaign at hand. As for Ser Loria, her condition and the impact it will have on the campaign will be discussed later. For now, we have one more piece of information to address, as Ser Ivar had stated...we now know where an Elder Dragon, one of Father Behemoth's kin, has made its nest, and we have a way inside...Who will we send during the campaign to kill it?
*the room immediately goes to hushed murmurs as the Knights begin to frantically talk among themselves. Finally, Argyle steps forward and speaks up*
Argyle: If I may, I've just had a thought....Prongs, you were a Grand Acolyte, correct?
Zigg: Haha! Oh yeah he was! And the only one to get there without an Apex Soul to boot!
Argyle: *he looks up to Prongs and nods to him* What do you think, my First Blade? With what you know about this Jormungandr, could the five of us...could you, June, Ember, Zephyr, and I kill this Elder Dragon?
~The Great Swamp~
Desmond: *he can feel his face getting slightly warm after hearing Catia say that, a strange feeling of anxiousness and happiness all coming over him at once. However, he kept this under his cool expression, smiling and simply nodding to her* Likewise...I find your company most soothing...*he then draws a shotel and stabs it into the open wound on the end of the claw, the blade cracking and cutting through the shell as he then scoops out the meat and stabs it onto the end of the blade. It was spongy and wet, with an almost ocean-like aroma to it as he then goes into his pack and pulls out a large pan* If cooked with goat butter or with its own juices as grease, the meat from this claw becomes tender and succulent...While I was in the Iron Keep, Ser Belwas had me try many different domestic things to see what I liked as a hobby...Out of everything there, I enjoyed cooking the most. He helped fuel my passion, and I must say, I've learned a lot...*he holds the pan above the fire as it heats. He then dangles the meat above the pan, letting the juices fall onto the pan. They sizzle, and move over the pan like grease. He then gently places the meat onto the pan as it sizzles with life. After a few minutes of turning it and moving it throughout the pan, he then reaches into his pocket and pulls out a leaf of saffron* When seasoned with Saffron, Bog Crab gains a much more pronounced flavor that adds a succulent taste to the meat's juices. Since its a crab meat, the taste couples well with the chewiness of the meat itself. If I had brought any...I would have this with red wine. *he then smirks as if he made a joke*
~Grimoire Bastion, Arena~
Brim: *he nearly leaps out of his seat in excitement* AFTER SUCH A HEAVY BLOW, WILL THE BALROG BE ABLE TO RESPOND?! CAN KROW RUSH THE BALROG IN TIME?!
Grom: *the energy attacks cut into his flesh and grind against his arms, his eyes widening in pain as he growls and steps forward, roaring as he releases a burst from the jets on his arms. He breaks the energy arcs, growling in pain and fury as he looks right at the group of Krows flying at him* If its a full fight you want, girl....ITS A FIGHT YOU WILL HAVE! *he charges forward, rushing Krow and her clones as they descend into a full-blown melee*
~Grimoire Bastion, Stands~
Irituum: *he hops onto his feet, crouching as he watches in anticipation. He licks his teeth hungrily, cackling jovially as he does so.* My favorite part of the act, when the combatants tear at each other in close quarters, with reckless abandon!~
Nifelheim: *he smiles and looks to the company around him before rising and stepping forward, gliding to the edge of the royal box and placing his hands on the guardrail in front of him and gripping them as his smile grows wider and more hungry with each passing moment of the battle* You see, this was my vision! A new generation, who's might shall throw all this world under the heel of the Dis! *As Nifelheim speaks, the fight rages on. Grom roars as two of the Krow Clones leap at him, bearing down on Grom with their swords poised for the stab. As their blades sink into his flesh upon their landing on his back, Grom bellows in pain and rage as he grabs them and rips them from their perches, throwing them both into the ground with such force that they shatter. Three more fly in and attempt to overwhelm him, their swords crackling with black energy as they drive in for the kill. However, the Balrog's rage would not be contained as he formed three balls of infernal flame in his hands, throwing one from each of his right arms as he pitches and whips them at blinding speeds. Nifelheim licks his lips in anticipation as he continues observing the bout* Krow, quite possibly one of my greatest creations, the leader of the Half-Mortals and Champion of the Infernal Royal Family! With her mastery of Malice Manipulation, Mortal Sorcery, Demonic Curses, and Infernal Fire, her star in the sky shall be as a bright sun of Infernal Fire, burning to cinder all who oppose the might of Dis! *the orbs of fire explode, destroying the three clones as soon as they come in to contact with them. However, out from the smoke, suddenly, the real Krow flies out at breakneck speeds, a wild hunger in her eyes as she grins and drives her sword straight through Grom's stomach. The Balrog grunts in pain and the crowd suddenly gasp in shock. At first, the Balrog's eyes widen, the blade vibrating with black Malice energy that he could feel cutting deep inside him. His head hanging as he looks at the wound, he remains still for a few moments, almost convincing even Krow that he was dead.* And then...there's my Grandson...My ever faithful Grom the Balrog...*Grom's hand immediately shoots out and grabs the blade as well as a surprised Krow's arm. He growls deep, the air around his body growing hotter and shimmering. The very breeze in the arena seemed to catch ablaze with Grom's fury as he slowly raises his head and looks Krow directly in the eye. His eyes were now red, burning, and filled with what could only be described as pure, unadulterated, unbridled wrath.* Grom, who has swallowed down over a thousand years of embodied anger and hate, born from my own blood...Who has stood on the precipice of full Demonhood, and mastered the art of war itself...Grom, who I have trained, personally, and have taught the way of the new world...Grom, my daughter's first born....*Grom then roars loudly, a suddenly flux of heat converging on his form as suddenly Grom's whole body explodes in a flash of white heat and blinding noise. Krow feels the rest of her clones fade as she's flung back to the very edge of the arena. Using her wings to brace for impact, she lights into the air and touches down gently, her sword drawn and ready as she covered her eyes. When the light and heat fade, at first, all Krow can make out in the smoke is a what looks like a pile of rubble* However, Grom, while equally as impressive as Krow, has his own means of getting things done...Behold, my gift to him...With my blood, Grandson...you are now perfect.
~Grimoire Bastion, Arena~
Grom: *suddenly, the smoke is blown away. What appeared to be a pile of rubble was actually the large remains of what seem to be Grom's vast stone arms. Standing in a crater where Grom stood was a much smaller, demon-like creature with two strong, toned arms that seem to be made of a sleek, black metal. On the elbows, two elegant jets of fire seemed to simmer out as the creature clenched his fists. His body was deep red, like magma, and his face appeared to be a grotesque combination of reptilian and human, with reptilian eyes, two slits for nostrils, no nose, and a metal, jagged jaw covering his chin. The creature had a long, flowing mane, much like Grom's, as well as a set of forward-curving horns similar to Grom's but more elegant and decorated with flaming demonic runes. The creature's chest was bare and rippling with muscle, from neck to abdominal. The smoke from his explosive transformation swirls in and around his legs, until finally a pair of black, torn cloth pants with a red sash emblazoned with the sigil of Dis adorned his lower half. His feet, bare and strong, sported sharp, pointed black toenails. The creature's eyes are closed as he takes deep breaths, savoring the feeling of finally being able to use this form* MMMMMggrrrrrrr.........Finally. *he then looks right at Krow, his eyes narrowing* Now I will bury you...
~Grimoire Bastion, Stands~
Nifelheim: *he smiles, gesturing to Grom as he looks back to Mary and Viper* You see? These mortals that Garlith wishes to pit against us...are tragically out of their element. Krow and Grom...with these two championing the next generation, we shall pave the way to a golden age for all Demons! And we will mark that road.... with Heathen. Mortal. Blood!
Grom: You had the courtesy to show me your Devil's Arm...*he holds his right hand out, fire beginning to crackle in the air near his hand* Let me show you mine... *the air explodes next to Grom as a vast, black metal Great Ax forms next to Grom. The weapon sported a long, staff-like handle and a large blade on one side, the other side being covered by what seemed to be a long opening of sorts, similar to the ones on Grom's elbows. He reaches over and grabs the handle, spinning the ax in his hands at first before stabbing the blade into the ground so hard, the arena shakes* Behold...Doom Desire...
Brim: *the small Demon's eyes roll to the back of his head as he seems to faint from excitement right there next to Rancid*
Demon Crew Member: *in the background, one of the demonic technicians frantically calls for help* Brim's down! Brim's down!
Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals - Page 12 Empty Re: Myrr Saga: War of the Infernals
Post by ShadowFantasy 7/14/2016, 2:16 pm
~Silvenheim Throne Room~
Prongs: *he blinks for a moment at Argyle's question, thinking for a moment before he finally responds* ....It would not be an easy task. Jormungandr is a powerful Elder Dragon that is capable of using the very ground beneath our feet as not only a weapon but a means to travel. However....With my Quake Sorcery I'm capable of disrupting his travel if only slightly. My awakened Sorcery would also be useful due to its highly destructive nature but I still hesitate to think that I will have need of it. *he glances at Ember* As weak as Ember is, I can still feel much power coming from her. She would be useful as well in limiting Jormungandr's movements. *he glances to Zephyr* However....I do not know what Zephyr is capable of bringing to this fight beyond ensuring the princess' safety throughout our battle with the beast.
Zephyr: *he lets out a deep breath and moves his arm in front of his body, pointing his fist to the side. In a flash of hellfire, long, semi-hooked claws form onto his arm over his knuckles and extending back past his wrist. The claws were dark red in color almost as if they were made of blood and they gave off a faint glow of dark energy as black mist radiates off of his body* Though I am unskilled in combating multiple opponents at once as I'm sure the Brave Companions present here with us today will attest to, I assure you that my combat prowess in dueling situations is difficult to overcome. I was never much one for using hellfire so I instead focused my training into using Malice Manipulation. I am also capable of using mystic focus to further enhance what speed was shown before within town against the angel girl. The last thing is my curse, Dreadlock, which binds the senses of sight, touch, hearing and smell within its radius. *he lets his devil's arm disappear and returns to his normal posture, the black mist that was radiating from his body vanishing with them* If I get close to that creature I assure you that it will not have much chance against me by itself.
Prongs: *he nods looking back to Argyle* June's power is undoubtedly one of the most powerful in our little group. However, it requires her to expend much of her power to use it to its maximum potential. She also risks harming herself in the process if something goes wrong so I tend to watch her carefully during combat. My own battle prowess with hers makes the two of us a formidable team as I've already shown. Keeping all of our talents in mind.... *he pauses for a moment before continuing, a small smile forming on his face* I believe that it is completely possible for us to slay Jormungandr.
Loria: *she speaks up next, her body still being cradled in Argyle's arms* And what of me your majesty? Surely you don't expect me to just stand by and do nothing? Child or not, I am still fit to fight.
Lilah: *she lets out a rather frustrated sigh* You should really be thinking of the child first before the war now Lady Loria. Life is precious.
Loria: *she narrows her eyes at Lilah* With all due respect Commander Lilah, so long as I have breath in my body I won't stop serving this kingdom. Until the child becomes a real burden upon my body then I feel that nothing should change.
Karn: *he sighs alongside Terran and folds his arms across the breastplate of his armor, looking to King Garlith* The choice is yours to make your majesty. While I don't like the idea of Loria fighting with a child on the way either, she does prove a point. To lose her battle prowess would likely cripple our military strength.
~The Great Swamp~
Catia: *she laughs as she sits up and begins to watch Desmond cook* That certainly smells better than most of the creatures here! I can't wait to taste it! *she tells him, watching him eagerly now as if it were the most interesting thing in the world*
~Grimoire Bastion, Arena~
Krow: *she slowly stands up straight, letting her sword fall to her side* You named your weapon....cute. *she snaps her fingers and several orbs of liquid hellfire appear around Grom's new form* However, I'm rather unimpressed. Then again, I don't particularly care what you look like or how much stronger you are in that new form. *she returns to her ready stance, unstable malice energy radiating from her blade once again* I'm going to beat you down regardless. I refuse to lose to you Grom. As you've stated before *she narrows her eyes* I'm not allowed to lose! *as the globes of hellfire slowly begin to multiply on the battlefield, Krow herself rushes Grom's new form and splits herself into three before swiping at Grom*
Rancid: *he lets out a wild howl of excitement as he watches the battle continuing* That's our commander folks! Undeterred and eager to fight the Balrog despite his powerful new form!
~Grimoire Bastion, Stands~
Mary: *she narrows her eyes as she watches Krow face Grom's new form head on, crossing her arms in front of her while one hand rests underneath her chin in thought* That wasn't a smart move....she should be more cautious than she is right now.
Viper: *he cackles loudly* Hahaha! Caution never got me anywhere! I say have at him!
