Secrets of the Memory Mage

*from outside the house, Rioluko can hear talking*
Jestil: G-gearecker... no... put that down! *a loud crash can be heard along with roars and girly screams*

Shu made his way for another town while rioluko wandered off somewhere...

Rio: hmmm? a battle arena... now this is more my style.

She grins and runs in and signs up for the arena, getting ready to fight.

Aerinin makes several practice swings with his scimitar as he follows Luminere and Zyht. He felt nervous, but excited. The strange combination of emotions was becoming more natural to him.

Zyht: *as he approached the Arena's entrance alongside the two beings, he had a shiver; he muttered: "Okay..." as he followed into the lobby* . . .

Luminere: *marches up to the strange being at the fight area entrance* We want to enter the next round.
Yoff: *in his rough voice* The round has already started, but I might accept you three as last minute entries...

Zyht: Already started? I don't see anyone else.

"I'm not complaining. Last-minute entry is better than not entering at all." Aerinin said, accepting the offer mere seconds after Yoff had spoken.

Yoff: when they announce the next round, *he points at Zhyt* You're up. I hope you're a good fighter... ehehe...

Zyht: I didn't even sign up! . . . And what do you mean fight? To the death?!

Yoff: By saying you're gonna be in the tournament is a sign up to me. And it isnt a fight to the death. well... USUALLY it isnt. it just till someone passes out or gives up. *loud cheering can be heard now* It sounds like the match is almost over. You better get ready!
Luminere: *she puts an encouraging hand on his shoulder and blinks several times as a sole image flashes into her mind. Zyht and herself... like a family photo....* Y-you can do it Zyht!

Zyht: . . . *he enters the arena, reluctantly*

*the crowd roars loudly and fron the other end of the arena, a timid red and blue fox. Clutched in her hand is an ice wand.*

Zyht: *he enters the battlefield, damaged with blood, dirt, scraps, wood, metal fragments, scorched spots* . . . *he then turned his gaze upon the red and blue fox. Noticing her wand, he realized his dire mistake* Crap...

*The girl looks at Zyht and gives a smile. She readies her ice wand and waits for the signal to begin*

Aerinin sits in the stands, and cheers Zyht on.

Zyht: . . . *stands in fear, facial expression being neutral*

???: The next round will now commence! 3... 2... 1... FIGHT!!!

*The girl starts charging bolts of ice that gather around the end of her wand*

Zyht: *runs behind a wall for safety, thinking: "What the hell is happening!!" He quickly kneels to the ground to pick up a rock* This'll have to do for now...

???: Come on out fox! *she laughs and fires an ice bolt that hits the wall* You're going down!

Zyht: *He peeks over the corner to locate the fox* Hope this works... *He dodgerolls into sight, throwing the rock at the Fox Girl. As the rock left his hand, a spark lit and the tiny rock formed into a spear of light as it shot toward his target*

(Note: He didn't do that on purpose... Nor is he a Mage...)

???: What the hell?! *she dodges, but is knocked back by the sheer force of Zyht's attack* What was that?!

Zyht: *recovering from his dodgeroll, he looks to his foe. a large indentation much like a river had formed on the ground toward the area his foe had been* . . . *speechless*

???: Let's see you do it again! *She starts charging ice in one hand, and fire in the other. Her fused magic rockets toward Zyht.*

"Zyht, you got this in the bag!" Aerinin roared over the crowd, seeing Zyht's newly discovered power.

Zyht: *is hit and flies backward, flipping* Ugh! . . . *the cheek of his face lays on the sand, his eyes closed* (Fainted)
