Lance nodded as they walked through the forest, knowing that Shiro was right.

"You could be right. That's why we should consider every possible angle for this situation and always be on our guard just in case any of the worst case scenario's suddenly happen."

He mentioned, taking his own advice and keeping his head on a swivel. He watched the shadows just as much as everything else, wary of the dangerous spirit that could attack them at any moment.

Shiro nodded quietly as she walked with him, looking at the forest and started to wonder why this was happening at all. The forest around them seemed rather peaceful, even more so then the one around the school with a lack of too many spirits. Maybe something bad had happened, she couldn't guess what though.

"I suppose we will be solving what happened soon, hopefully."

She said quietly as she walked close to him.

Lance noticed Shiro walking closely to him and he got a mischievous smirk on his face.

"Are you scared?"

He asked her, watching her reaction to his creepy realization with a twinkle of amusement in his eyes.

Shiro looked at him and frowned when she heard him, seeing the look in his eye though she shook her head quickly.

"I am not scared at all. You can't prove such a thing."

She said and looked away quickly. She was nervous but it wasn't like she was scared about what they where doing or going against.

Lance continued to smirk at Shiro as he saw her confidence.

"Good. Then how about we try to help you control your powers while we look around?"

He asked her, giving her a small show of sparks in front of them to show he was serious.

Shiro jumped slightly when he made a show of sparks in front of them and pouted some as she looked at him.

"You think I could do it as we walk, in a forest without water? What if something happened?"

She asked himas she kept walking, not wanting something to happen.

Lance put a hand on Shiro's hip before giving her a small zap to her body to make her jump.

"If you get out of control, I'll jolt you back to reality. Simple right?"

He told her, the mischievous twinkle still in his eyes.

Shiro gave a little squeak this time as he held her hip and zapped her, jumping some before she looked at him and pouted more.

"Fine, don't blame me if you get burnt or something though. You are the one that asked for it anyway. What do you think I should try first."

She mumbled and looked away from him, trying to think what might be easiest.

Lance thought for a second before holding out a hand in front of him, letting sparks condense into a small ball in his open hand.

"Let's try doing this first. Concentrate your power into a ball in the palm of your hand, being careful not to let it get too big or too small. If it gets too big it'll disperse and blow up. If it gets too small it'll just fizzle out."

He explained to her as he let the small ball of sparks fizzle out in his hand.

Shiro watched and listened to him quietly as she tilted her head. She nodded when he finished speaking and ended up letting the sparks in his hand fizzle out.

"Okay, I will see what I can do then."

she mumbled quietly, she was still hesitant about this since she hadn't really practiced in a while. Though she put her hand out in front of her and concentrated, trying to do as he said with not to little and not too much. At first though she squeaked some when she made a bit too much of an effort and created too much of the blue fire. This was of course after her ears and tail ended up coming out since she couldn't use her power without them being seen.

Lance saw that Shiro had failed to make the ball of flames the right way and he zapped her in her hips again, trying to break her concentration and force the ball of flames to fizzle out.

"Too big. Try again and concentrate on making it small first. Otherwise if it gets too big I'll shock you again to break your concentration."

He warned her, that same mischievous twinkle in his eyes.

Shiro jumped a bit and looked at him as the fire went out. Hearing him though she just gave a little nod as she went to concentrate again on the fire. She gave a little smile at him though after a few minutes of trying as she managed to get a little flame that didn't fizzle out.

Lance gave a small smile at Shiro's tiny little ball of blue flames, a little pride twinkling in his eyes.

"Good. Now try slowly making it bigger."

He told her, holding her by her hip as they continued to walk through the forest.

Shiro couldnt help but smile more when seeing he looked proud. She nodded though when hearing him say that she should slowly get bigger.

"I will try and be careful as I do."

She told him before trying to let the flame slowly get bigger. As she did this she didn't notice how close they where getting to the mountain as they walked.

Lance watched Shiro's little blue ball of flames steadily get larger and larger as they quickly started to near the mountains. He stopped her just before they reached them, watching for how much daylight they had left.

"We should consider camping out in the forest for the night and setting out for the mountains in the morning. It'll be less harsh that way. Unlike you, I can't make my own body into a furnace to beat the cold."

He told her, still watching her ball of flames carefully.

Shiro blinked and looked up when she heard him speaking about them stopping for the night. She managed to keep control over her little fire as she nodded and smiled.

"Setting up camp soon sounds fine. Maybe we can find food as well before it gets too dark. "

She said and her little fire started to go out some since she wasn't focusing on it as hard.

Lance nodded as he gestured to her little fire.

"Your fires don't seem so scary to me. Look at it. I think it's beautiful. The very same as you."

He commented, smiling at her.

Shiro looked down at her little fore and tilted her head when he spoke about it. Hearing him compliment her and the fire though she blushed and shook her head some.

"I have spooked myself in the past with it, just by nearly burning a few things down is all."

Lance smiled and walked behind Shiro, wrapping his arms gently around her collarbone as he let a ball of sparks carefully encase her ball of blue flames.

"I won't let you burn anything that you don't want to Shiro. My sparks will keep us both safe. I promise."

He told her.

Shiro blushed more but smiled as sh leaned back against him. Having him around made her much more happy and calm as she went to kiss him lightly.

"Thank you Lance, I am so happy you will stay with me."

Lance kissed Shiro back when she kissed him, the small ball of blue flames and sparks beautifully lighting up both of their faces as the sky began to turn to its dawn colors.

"I will be with you so long as our lives will allow."

He whispers to her gently when their lips part.

Shiro blushed a little more when hearing him speak after moving away enough. She just smiled more as well though as she kissed him again lightly.

"I can't wait for that life together then Lance."

She told him quietly, way more then happy to be with him like this.

Lance smiled and kissed Shiro back again before moving away from her, looking around the forest a bit.

"We should setup camp soon. Are you hungry?"

He asked her.

Shiro watched him move away before nodding some at both the things he said. She looked around before letting the fire in her hand die out.

"How about we set up camp and see if we can find something to eat. We should probably set up off of the road though so maybe we will find food on the way."

Lance nods to what Shiro says and leads them a small ways off of the road before turning back to her.

"Do you want to hunt or gather firewood for us?"

He asked her.
