~Dragon's Egg~

Drake nods. "No problem." He said as he walked right by her side the rest of the way for support, just in case if her legs buckled again.

Cornelia blushes a bit more, sighing as she realizes that trying to walk as things were would be pointless. She turns to Drake. "Maybe....it would be best that I lie down for a while. It's no use walking with my legs chewed up like this." She tells him, watching for his reaction.

Drake nodded. "If you think that would be the best thing for you do, then I'll help you over to a bed." He responded, closing his eyes for a few seconds, seeming like he was hoping that Cornelia wouldn't take it out of context.

Cornelia only nods quietly, a kind of defeated look on her face as she waits for Drake to lead her to a place to rest. She felt so helpless with her legs being crippled, unable to hunt or do anything that she needed or wanted to do.

Drake very gently picks Cornelia up, Carrying her the way that he always was beforehand. He carries her to his room very gently, thinking she would want someone to be close to when she did sleep.

Cornelia doesn't say anything when Drake picks her up, the same defeated look on her face. She couldn't say anything, couldn't protest or deny help from Drake with her condition like it was any longer. She needed rest. Something that could only be achieved if she did something she hadn't had to do in decades: make a roost and den and sleep for at least the next fortnight or so.

Drake gently put Cornelia down on his bed.  "Is there anything you'd like me to get you? I mean... I'm sure your hungry." He asked her.

Cornelia simply turns over onto her side and stares at the wall. "You may feed me if you wish. It does not matter right now whether I eat or not. I cannot feed myself as it is." She tells him, carefully curling up as if she were a dragon to rest and closing her eyes.

Drake nods. Remembering the other deer he quickly takes care of it, putting it in the freezer with the first one. Mainly having bread and cheese, he also made one for Cornelia, hoping that she wouldn't mind it not having any meat on it. He returned to his room, carrying what he made for Cornelia.

Cornelia has her eyes shut and her breathing is steady as Drake comes back to his room. Upon smelling the food, her eyes blink open and she looks at Drake out of the corner of her eyes, watching him silently to see what he was doing.

Drake goes over to Cornelia and sits down beside her. "I quickly made something for you, so would have at least something in your stomach." He said, holding the sandwich out to her.

Cornelia nods slowly before turning around in bed and accepting the sandwich that he offered her. Not wanting to hurt herself by trying to sit up, she simply begins to eat the sandwich where she was on her side. She doesn't say anything to Drake as she does so, simply staring blankly into space as she ate.

Drake stayed by Cornelia as she ate, just in case of anything happening or her needing something.
