Re: Survival of the Fittest (RP CONTEST)
exactly. Say i enter luna (Im not entering cuz in a judge) and i let her keep the ability where whe can summon ice elemented wolves. That would be it. she wouldnt get any other magic, or her psychic abilities.
Also, any summonable creatures: if you summon 5 at a time, that counts as that skill's 5 uses.

Re: Survival of the Fittest (RP CONTEST)
Alright, I can get behind this one! I'll throw in Argyle from my current rp Myrr Saga, and Noah from Aura Wake. :3

Re: Survival of the Fittest (RP CONTEST)
Excellent! Ohhh, shall we drop your characters somewhere, or will you find your ways to your targets~? I recommend the Desert location for Kyra to dominate. She'd have quite the advantage.
As for Argyle, perhaps the Mountain would suit best? From what little I skimmed about him, it seems like it would be easy for a dragon-age kind of guy.
By the way, I think all your characters' physical attributes will come in handy here, such as flight, stalking/sneaking, and other skills that they've gained during their lives. You can choose to represent them in whatever age you want, as well, like if they get more buff, or lose a lot of weight in their 30s, then put them in that way. The power limit still applies though to one spell/magic/special summon/element power/whatever and using that one thing 5 times a day.
This should be a lot of fun. The winner obtains 25 Contest Earnings, but those who maintain posting and enter, will get 5. We're glad to have you!

Re: Survival of the Fittest (RP CONTEST)
Depending on when the contest in, Argyle will be in one of two versions: Either his version he has now, or a new one I'm working on. As for Noah, I plan on using his version of right after he got Primal Unity. So, it should be interesting.
As for what you said, Rocky, I think mountains would be a good region for Argyle as well. :3

Re: Survival of the Fittest (RP CONTEST)
Alright! I'm fine with the Admins (Or rather, Admistresses?) dropping my characters wherever they want. The random factor will only make this more entertaining! Should we wait for more participants?
Re: Survival of the Fittest (RP CONTEST)
We can wait one more day for participants. Then it would have to start.
Re: Survival of the Fittest (RP CONTEST)
"Time is up.
All participants will now be cargo dropped to their starting locations. Enjoy the match and happy hunting!"
Your character is sitting in a crate, blindfolded and cuffed with a strange device. They hear this announcement and struggle to move, but can barely do so due to the size of the crate they're in. An alarm sounds and your crate begins tumbling. You can feel the wind streaming through small gaps in the crate. Your're thrown against the roof of the crate as what seems to be a parachute opening.
It only slows the descent of the crate a little bit. Your crate lands and smashes open, sending you tumbling out. You're alone, but you can hear the distant sounds of other crates getting broken. As you look around you take in the terrain (whatever you picked).
You know that you're here to kill or be killed.
Which will it be?

Re: Survival of the Fittest (RP CONTEST)
Reacting quickly, Xanthos ducks into a growth of plants to keep himself hidden. The terrain was well-forested, with a maze of branches above that could be used to his advantage... Silently, he sneaks out of his hiding spot and scales the nearest tree, coming to rest at a thick branch near the tree's top. From here, he could get a fairly decent vantage point of the island, hopefully enough to see his enemies before they saw him. His dark clothing should help... His hand hovered over the cuff on his arm. It seemed to be blocking most of his powers, so whatever he did have left would have to suffice.
Glancing back down at the beach where his crate had left him, he noticed that the other crates had also been abandoned by their "cargo." The art of surprise was always a favorite tactic of his... He climbs a bit higher through the treetops to get a better idea of the forest's layout. With poised grace and skill, he leaped from branch to branch, tracking a trail of footprints left by one of the other three combatants...
--
As soon as Kyra's crate landed, she flexed her muscles, busting open the wooden crate into small fragments with ease. Without a second thought, she spread her powerful wings and with a running start, took off for the skies. Catching several updrafts to get a better view of the island, she veers right to steer herself towards the desert terrain. Any opponent who tried to attack her would be seen long before they could launch an attack on her.
Several miles into the desert landscape, she paused to glance at the cuff on her leg. It seemed she could only cast a single spell with this device on, and not even as frequently as she could on a normal day. As of right now, she wasn't sure of which spell it even would be. Returning her attention to the environment below, she rose higher into the sky like a vulture, ready to strike...

Re: Survival of the Fittest (RP CONTEST)
All remaining participants will now be transported to the center arena. This will be a free-for-all fight to the death.
The participants feel something beneath them. Then they find themselves staring each other down. There is a pile of weapons in the very center, ranging from the simple dagger to a rifle.
Without a second thought, everyone runs for the center.

Re: Survival of the Fittest (RP CONTEST)
Kyra and Xanthos quickly made a mad dash for the weapons cache, both knowing that however got there first would have the advantage. That much was obvious. Seeing as Kyra had been flying at the time she had been transported, she smirked as she realized that the cat had no such advantage. She curls in her wings, increasing her dive speed immensely as she ripped through the wind like scissors through paper. Holding her magic focus, she quickly began to prepare a spell, realizing it could help give her the upper hand.
Xanthos began to spark with electricity as he ran towards the weapons, his heart pounding with anxiety unlike anything he had felt before. Upon seeing Kyra dive, he cursed as he tried to push himself faster, but was unable to further increase his speed… Unless… He began to absorb the electricity he generated, stimulating his nervous system to enhance his speed, nearly doubling past his normal limits as he neared the cache.
Kyra quickly fired her spell, Luck Steal, at Xanthos as she realized that his current speed would outperform her own. Crimson runes in a circle pattern flashed into existence under Xanthos’ feet and his eyes widened. Without warning, he found himself tripping over his own feet, his shoelaces now untied. He skidded across the floor several feet before falling prone just short of the cache. Kyra swooped down to grab the nearest weapon before banking to the right and lifting her elevation. It seemed to be a gun of some kind-- the engineering was unfamiliar to her. Strange runes were etched on its barrel…
Xanthos struggled to pick himself up, pain now racking his body from his high speed flounder. He staggered towards the weapons pile, grabbing the nearest item, his sense of balance completely thrown off. He struggled to right himself before gazing up at the flying Kyra and growling. The weapon he’d grabbed was a pistol. Not something he’d generally use, but tough times called for such measures. He quickly aimed through its scope and fired!
...Or so he thought.
Only a soft click emanated from the gun. It was empty. Heart pounding again, he threw it away and grabbed another gun, this one much more alien and incredibly bulky. He failed to notice the faded ChrisCo. label on its side. He fired again.
And again, nothing happened.
His eyes widened. Was it defective?!
Kyra smirked as she watched from above. It seemed her spell, while much weaker, could still do its job. And if Xanthos’ luck was so bad, then… She cocked the gun and steadied herself in midair before firing to the ground below. A burst stream of energy erupted from the barrel, threatening to incinerate Xanthos entirely.
He threw down the gun and quickly made a beeline for the opposite direction, Kyra’s shot completely incinerating the other weapons. With the lack of any sort of long range weaponry or powers, he was for all intents and purposes, screwed. Fighting to ignore his injured legs that screamed in agony, he ran towards the far end of the room. Not even partially there, his legs suddenly gave out on him, the sprained injuries no longer able to let him stand. As he looked up, all he could see was another round of magnificent scarlet fire from Kyra’s gun…
Kyra blew the smoke from the barrel of the gun, now uninterested in the charred corpse below. She rested the gun on her shoulder and slowed herself to descend to the floor.
