Dark Cosmos Origins

*the Leviathan roars. It then locks onto Luna and begins to fire from the chainguns on its mouth*

Luna: .....Get Burned. *she fires the blast of energy right at the Leviathan's Chest, completely incinerating the bullets. As the beam is fired, what looks like waves of electricity course across Luna's body. She flinches and roars in pain as the energy blast finally dissapates. Luna floats there for a few, still flinching at the electricity jumping across her as she breathes harshly. The she-hog looks back at the ship and with her hands still on fire, gives them a weak thumbs up*

Leviathan: *the monstrous mecha roars and explodes, creating a brilliant flash of lights*

Alex: *he jumps up out of the turret seat* WOOOOHOOOOO!

Spirit: *he slams his fist on the arm of his captain's chair and stands up, joy in his eyes* Way to go, Luna!

Xavier: Thou art victorious!

Sweet: *he moves his hat over his eyes and smiles* Well, I'll be. Girl's got some swingin' moves after all.

Spirit: *he sits back down* Bring us about, Mr. Sweet, and pick up our hedgehog!

Sweet: You got it, Captain! *the Bleak Nebula turns around and opens the front entry hatch, scooping Luna out of space and then turning around to continue their course.*

Luna: *she's kneeling on the floor, the red in her eyes dying out along with the flames on her hands* Ahahaha.... Piece of Cake....

Alex: *he runs over and hugs Luna* WAY TO GO, LUNA! THAT WAS AMAZING!

Sweet: *he walks in and pats Luna on the back* Way to go, Luna-baby.

Xavier: Verily! Thou hast proven thyself a true and stalwart member of Dark Cosmos!

Spirit: *he is standing the in the doorway, leaning against a wall and smiling at Luna* Way to go, Cabin Girl. You might just make it with us yet...

Luna: Thanks. I do what I do to protect family. *she grins and stands up* Whew... That took a lot of energy!

Xavier: Then allow me to prepare a feast to slake thine fatigue and hunger!

Sweet: I'll get you some wine to go with it, babygirl!

Xavier: Not needed, lecherous goat! There shall be no alcohol consumption in my galley! On this vessel, in that kitchen, the one who be captain is I, Xavier!

Sweet: Oh captain, my captain, just make a grilled cheese sandwich. Extra tomato soup for me.

Xavier: Hold thine tongue, o bearded cur....

Alex: Xavier is a great cook, Luna! You'll love his food!

Spirit: Yep. Just don't let Sweet anywhere near the alcohol. He gets you drinking, you'll wind up in a place you probably don't want to be...That is why we keep the liquor locked away in MY cabin.

Luna: Oh? Well then.... I would also like a grilled cheese with some soup as well. And for the record, Iciaurians... We know how to hold our liquor. :3

Spirit: *he leans in close to Luna* Well then, perhaps I will invite you in for a nightcap some time? *he then returns to perfect posture and walks off to the galley after Sweet and Xavier*

Alex: *he walks happily behind Spirit.* Wait up, Captain!

*in the galley, Sweet, Alex, and Spirit are all sitting down at a long table while Xavier prepares the sandwiches and soup. When it is over, the sweet aroma from the soup wafts into the room. Then, Xavier enters the dining area with a large tray that would require two hands to be held by a normal person in one hand. He places each sandwich at each place along with soup and a side of ChrisCo. Cola*

Xavier: Thine meals be served!

Luna: *she sits down and opens a can of ChrisCo. Cola. An ominous skull floats out*
Skull: WHOEVER DRINKS CHRISCO. COLA SHALL BE CURSD FOREVER! IT IS ALSO LOW IN CALORIES!!!! *the skull disipates*
Luna: Ah, Chris... Never cease to amaze me... *she drinks the soda anyway* Still as good as I remember.

Alex: *he bites into his sandwich and the gooey cheese hangs out from it. The sandwiches smelled as amazing as the soup!*

Sweet: *he opens his can of ChrisCo. Cola. Out of his floats another skull*

Skull: You.....will.....DIE.....Also, try our new Cola in original and Grape. *the skull dissipates*

Sweet: .....Ooooookay....*drinks it anyway*

Spirit: *he calmly sips the soup from a spoon, his mask half off so one of his eyes and most of his face is covered but his mouth and right eye are exposed.*

Xavier: Enjoy, noble and worthy comrades!

Luna: *she chomps on her sandwich, savoring the flavor before eating a spoonful of soup.* Oh... My.... God.... This is incredible!!! *she rolls another spoonful of soup around in her mouth* Do i detect some Iciaurian **spelfae?


**Spelfae: An exotic herb used in cooking only found in the humid parts of the Forest Continent, Plethio. It is also an ingredient used in certian potions.

Xavier: Verily! I used the noble herb as a spice of the soup and the nectar of the plant in the oils by which I fried thine cheesy confections!

Spirit: So you're using exotic herbs on us, Xavier? *he smiles and chuckles* You spoil my crew too much, my good cook.

Xavier: Tis not spoiling if the captain be given the same treatment!

Spirit: Touche. But, tonight we're celebrating! Luna really saved us back there. We would have been in a bind if that Leviathan got its claws around us...

Alex: You could have taken that Leviathan, Captain!

Spirit: Hahaha! I probably could have. But, it was a good test to see if Luna could hold her own. I'm proud to fully welcome her into Dark Cosmos! Our cabin girl and mechanic, Luna!

Luna: *the sandwich, the friends... All a good old slice of home. With a grin, she holds up her can* Cheers! To the captian, and the marvelous crew I am now a part of!

*the crew all cheer*

Spirit: *after the eating and drinking is over, Spirit stands up and goes to leave* I'll be in my chambers. Mr. Sweet, plot a course for Rapture. We'll stop there to re-supply before taking off to deliver the spices to Icecrown. *he stops, turns around, walks over to Luna, and kisses her hand gently* Goodnight, Miss Luna. And again, welcome to the crew. *he walks through the hall into his chamber*

Sweet: Damn captain getting to make a move...

Xavier: Goat. The course.

Sweet: Fine, man! I'm on it! Over and out, rainbow trout! *he walks off to the bridge*

Alex: I'll be in the cargo hold, taking inventory on the Spices.

Xavier: *he smiles, takes the plates, and takes them into the kitchen to wash*

Luna: *she had absolutely no clue what to do now...* I guess I'm just gonna wander around a bit. *standing up, she begins walking about the ship. Luna stopped in front of a reflective pannel and stared at her reflection... til it started to move. The she-hog didn't really react, for this has happened before* What do you want....
Reflection: You could have easily destroyed this ship, so why didn't you?
Luna: *she keeps looking about, making sure no one was coming* That would have been the WORST thing to do! I am nothing like you!
Reflection: *it shakes its head* We are one, Luna... Remember what WE are capable of.
Luna: . . . . *her relflection had a point there...* This is insane. I talk to my friggin reflection!

Spirit: *he is sitting in his captain's chair and hadn't been noticed by Luna* That was the source of that power you used to defeat the Leviathan, wasn't it? I bet its also what the Combine were after. *he has a glass of wine in his hand and he swirls it in the glass.*

Luna: *she quickly turns around, her face flustered* I... well... uh.... *she finally sighs* Yea is is...

Spirit: *he sets the glass down, gets up, and stands next to Luna. He looks out into space and sighs.* Power like that...I can see why the Combine would want it so badly. *he then looks over at her.* Don't worry. I won't tell Alex, Sweet, or Xavier. What demons you have, it is your choice whether or not to deal with them on your own. However, if you ever need help, or just want to talk, my door is always open. *he then looks out at one of the stars.* Mobius...my home world. *he then chuckles.* Although, you are a long way from home....Princess Luna Materex of Iciaura. I know who you are. And I know the name of the thing inside you. Just trust me when I say I'm a lot older in your years than I seem to be. But, also know that I am your friend. As long as you are a member of Dark Cosmos, I promise I will stand by you. *he takes off his mask. His face is noseless and black, but in a way almost flawless. The only thing that stood out was a small fang that stuck out from his mouth. He smiled at Luna and nodded to her.* To my race, to remove ones' mask to someone is a sign of the utmost trust. After today, you have my trust.

Luna: You four are the kindest people I've met on my travels yet... *she sighs and looks out to the stars, outstretching her hand. A glowing snowflake forms and gives off an array of color before dimming down.* Here. I only give these to the ones I trust. This one is for all of you. Ironically, this is the first one I've given yet....

Spirit: *He smiles at the snowflake* We will treasure it always. *he takes it and puts it in a glass case next to the captain's chair* I had saved that case for something special that I may pick up on my travels. I guess now it has a use. *he sits down and puts his mask back on* Now, you had better go get some rest. Tomorrow, we dock in at Rapture, home of the Necral race. I don't expect a warm welcome, but they're the only supply depot for the next 59 light-years. After that, we hit Icecrown where we deliver the spice shipment we picked up back at that city planet. And after that little mission, the real job begins...*he picks up his glass of wine again and moves his mask so his mouth is exposed. He then sighs a sigh of someone getting comfortable and takes a small sip*

Luna: Yes sir. *she walks out. As she walks to her room, she glances through a doorway. What was in there made her stop. an old, worn, beaten down vehicle of some sort. Look left. Look right. Good. Nobody approaching as she slipped into the room. ~Sleep? What is this logic?~ she thought as she set right to work.*

*The ship sails through the darkness of space. Finally, it lands in a large, black city on a wasteland planet. The buildings seem to all be made of Obsidian. And the people walking through the city...most of them had black skin with different types of white tattoos on their bodies. As the ship landed, the ship was greeted by a smaller version of the people in the city. It was hunched over, gangley, and rather strange looking.*

Spirit: Welcome to Rapture, crew. Today, we stock up on fuel, water, and parts for the vehicles in the hangar. Nobody leaves the Market District outside the Spaceport under ANY circumstances. The Necrals of Rapture, which you all probably saw by now, are very suspicious and VERY dangerous if you get on their bad sides. Luna, you take Alex and get parts. Any kind will do. Xavier, you get the water. We need about 50 gallons. and Sweet, you talk to the Port Master about getting food. Understand?

Alex: Got it, Captain!

Xavier: It shall be done, Worthy Sir!

Sweet: Over and out, Rainbow Trout.

Luna: Yes sir! *she looks to alex with a sheepish grin* Lets get going, bro!

Alex: *his smile widens. He runs out after Luna*

Spirit: *he steps out and meets with the Necral.* You're a Revarious, one of Grom's foot soldiers?

Revarious: *his voice is dry and scratchy* Yes, My Lord. It is an honor to have you here on Rapture. Lord Grom Reaver, Wormlord of Rapture, wishes to speak with you. If you will come with me?

Spirit: Sweet...watch the ship while you talk to the Port Master.

Sweet: Got it, Daddyo.

Xavier: Proceed with caution, Captain. The thought of Reaver, though a gentleman he may be, has never sat right within my gullet. My instincts beckon that he may tide your undoing...

Spirit: Don't worry. I doubt Reaver would want me dead. I have nothing of value to offer him and last I checked, he's still afraid of my brother.

Revarious: *he bows and motions for Spirit to follow him* This way please, my lord. *Spirit and the Necral walk off*

Xavier: Good tidings, Goat. Keep thine vigilant eye on the ship and not on the maidens.

Sweet: Man, you know I don't like them undead chicks!
