Secrets of the Memory Mage

I have a feeling that this is gonna be a good one!!!

Your character(s) arrive(s) in the Mystical world of Erinn. As there is so much to do, there are just as many places to visit. But that isn't the story. Your character(s) has strange flashes of their lives before entering the soulstream and being reborn into Erinn. They have to find a way to get to the Shadow Realm and find a being that people say doesn't even exist. As their story goes on, and the flashes get worse, they believe the stories more and more. They must find their way to Tara or Tailteann, which are the only two entrances to the Shadow Realm. (starting locations are at the bottom. LOL)

**The Memory Mage is a White Knight that has a special Transformation known as Demigod.**

*a neon green and black fox wakes up in the hot, sandy Square of the town Filia. She looks around at the architecture, amazed. What was this place? She slowly stands, examining her clothing. a simple blue/red skirt and top, stockings, and basic leather shoes. (This is the Newbie wear that all female characters start with. The males get simple longsleeve shirts and pants, and basic leather shoes. Everyone gets a starter weapon too. A cheap sword usually.) She eyes the cheap broad sword on her belt and begins to wander about the town*

"This bites..." A male drow kicked a pebble with his foot, hands jammed in clothing he wasn't familiar with. As he looked around, he noticed several people staring at him. Ignoring the stares, he cautiosly walked over to an elderly woman.

"Excuse me, miss. Can you tell me where I am...?" The woman stared at him, confused. She murmured a single word, Filia, before hobbling away from him. This place was one he had never heard of. But then again, what did he remember? A single word floated through his foggy head. Aerinin. Was that his name? It seemed to fit.

"Alright... so my name is Aerinin and I'm in a place called Filia." It was a start. But what else could he remember? He failed to recall anything else. He took off a shoe and let the sand drain from it as he sighed. The only option he could think of was asking around for more information about this strange place.

"Better get to it!"

*The fox looked around, the sun beating down and warming her fur. A name jumped into her head. Luminere. She approaches a kind looking cat girl.
???: Welcome! My name is Meles. How can I help you?
Luminere: *she thinks about what to say, seeing that she hasnt talked yet.*
Meles: Ah... You must be a Milletian.
Luminere: ...Milletian?
Meles: Yes. It means 'from the stars'. Anyway, what do you need?
Luminere: um... *she glances at her cheap sword* Any way i could... trade?
Meles: for...?
Luminere: Bow and arrow?
Meles: I guess we could work something out...

So, in the ten minutes or so that had passed, Aerinin had learned much more. Filia was located in the desert-like Connous region of Iria. Neither was familiar, but knowing the geography would help quite a bit. Aerinin sat at the spot where he had woken up, when a sharp pain shot through his leg.

"Wha-?" It was a small scimitar in his side pouch, its handle covered in lengths of cloth. He had been to distracted to notice it before. As he stared at the weapon, a memory flashed through his head. He was sitting underneath a tree, examining a large scimitar, not unlike the one he held now. He was... scared, afraid and anxious. In the distance, shouting from a riot of some sort was heard. A gray cat ran up to him, telling him to run far away from the shouting of the riot. And that was it.

"This scimitar... is it connected to my past?" He swung it a few times, adjusting to the feel of it. The movements seemed rythmic, and even though he had never held the weapon before, he felt as though he had been using it for years. He strapped if to his side again, and walked towards the general shop. Aerinin approached who he assumed was the store owner. The owner, an echidna, turned around and grinned cheerfully.

"Hello there! Dont' think I've seen you around before. My names Granites and I run this General store! What can I get for ya?"

"Um... What do you have in stock...?" Aerinin asked as he brushed his silver hair away from his eyes.

((So... what does Granites usually have, anyway?))

((He has food, pouches for gold, musical instruments, music scrolls, basic clothing such as robes, and simple outfits, blacksmithing manuals, sewing patterns, fishing rods and bait, empty bottles for milk and water, and small trinkets.))

Luminere: Thank you! *she straps her leather long bow to her back along with a quiver of 500 arrows. She sighs as she automatically grasps the pendant around her neck. Strange... She could remember this small trinket, but nothing else?

"Only everything you'll ever need in life!!~" Granites laughed a hearty laugh while spinning around the room. The customers laughed, not seeing the echidna's actions as strange. "Musical instruments and scrolls, clothing, fishing rods!! It'll cost you, of course, but nothing in life is free, right?"

"Right..." Aerinin replied, pulling out the few gold pieces he had found buried in the sandy ground. Enough for two packages of food. Exchanging the gold for the food, Aerinin left the store and approached the wepon store. Perhaps learning more about his weapon could help him.

"Hello?" Aerinin brushes past green and black fox as he approaches the conter. The cat girl working there grinned.

"Hi! I'm Meles! How can I help you?" Aerinin brought out his scimitar.

"Can you tell me the rarity of this weapon?" Aerinin asked as he gave the scimitar to Meles. The cat girl waved it around a few times, her eyes sparkling with wonder.

"Where... did you find something like this? I've never seen anything like it before! And I've seen a lot of weapons!" Meles handed the scimitar back to Aerinin.

"I... I have amnesia, I guess. I'm not sure who I even am, much less how I got the scimitar. I just woke up over... there, I think." He points to the general area he had woken up.

"Another Milletian? Strange..." Meles murmured. "That weapon is definetly not made of a material from this world... It has a sort of... magical quality to it."

"Wait, back up. What did you call me? A Mille-something?" Aerinin said, grasping Meles' hands tightly. If this word was tied to his past, he needed to know. His eyes bore into hers as she spoke.

"Milletian. It means from the stars." Meles said, echoing what she had said not long ago. Aerinin let go of the cat's hands.

"You said there was another?"

"Yes, a green and black fox girl. You passed her coming in." Aerinin nodded and scanned around, trying to find the girl from before. Maybe she knew something...?

Luminere: *she wanders from the weapons shop to the Healers, hopefully to learn a skill or something. Maybe if she was lucky, scrape up some money and get some medical supplies. Besides wanting to be an archer, she wanted to be a healer.*
Atrata: Hello there Milletian!
Luminere: ~Why is everyone calling me that?~ Excuse me... but would you happen to have a skill or two i could learn...?
Atrata: Actually, I do! The basic Healing skill and Herbalism. The second one enables you to pick even the most delicate of herbs. And those herbs are good for making your masic potions that restore you Mana, Health, and Stamina. And If you would like me to go into details, there are also herbs that make poisons, ones that restore health/ stamina, health/mana, and stamina/mana.
Luminere: How can I learn these skills?
Atrata: *she hands Luminere a book* Read this thouroughly and you will learn the basics of healing. For herbalism, just practice not crushing herbs when you pick them. You will usually get 5 herbs per patch, but in some places, you can get more.
Luminere: Thank you... *she turns and walks away, already deep into reading the book*

Aerinin couldn't see his target anywhere. He ran a hand through his hair, deciding to postpone his search in exchange for getting more gold. He turned to Meles and sighed.

"Are there any fast ways to get gold?"

"Um... I guess you could do favors for people. They might pay you for that... Can I see how you handle your scimitar? That might help me give you more options." Meles said as she left the counter, drawing a two handed longsword. What surprised Aerinin was that she was holding it in one hand, a show of her power.

Meles charged forward, slashing upwards with lightning fast speed. Aerinin lept backwards, barely avoiding the strike. His body moved on its own, as if on autopilot. He swiftly and fluidly dodged Meles' strikes with feints, rolls, and grace. A crowd gathered around them, seeing Meles' overwhelming power and Aerinin's perfect evasion manuevers.

Aerinin, seeing an opening, slammed Meles' blade out of her hands and rested his blade near her throat. Meles smirked and her tail grabbed Aerinin's leg, yanking him off his feet. Meles spun off the ground, grabbing her blade and leaping towards Aerinin. As the drow tried to strike her with his blade, Meles presses her foot down on Aerinin's wrist, sitting on his chest and grinning.

"Not bad. You're pretty good!~" Meles grinned as she helped him up. "Your style is quite unique, nothing I've ever seen before. You might be pretty good at the Connous Battle Arena. There's a pretty good reward of gold if you win."

Aerinin mulled it over. He'd get more battle experience from entering, get more gold and maybe even find more answers. The crowd around them cheered, roaring for another spar. Meles shook her head as they asked her to spar with Aerinin again.

"Someone else should test his skills. He will need as much practice as possible if he is to enter the Arena. Who will challenge him next?"

Luminere: *hears Meles ask aloud* I guess I could try.... * she steps forward and draws her bow and arrow*
Meles: Ahh... I believe that is the girl that you want to speak with.

"Her?" Aerinin asked, blinking blankly and he pointed towards Luminere. Meles nodded, and Aerinin shrugged. "Um... hi, my name is Aerinin. I'm an amnesiac and was looking for you before because you're a Me-mel-mille-"

"Milletian." Meles cut in, rubbing her temples.

"Right, a Milletian like me." Aerinin paused and a person in the crowd shouted, wanting to see the spar. Aerinin began to sweat as he dusted off his scimitar. He felt so nervous, yet relaxed at the same time. He'd spar first, talk to the other Milletian, then go to the arena.

Luminere: you are a milletian too? *somebody shouts in her ear and she flinches* Looks like we're gonna have to talk after our little spar...

"Guess so..." Aerinin took slow movements, realizing he was at a disadvantage against Luminere. She could easily hit him, having a long range weapon. Aerinin narrowed his eyes, trying to block out the sunlight from his red eyes.

Luminere: *she aims at Aerinin but misses by a few inches. She looks at her opponent and winked, a sing that she'll let him win. She wants answers too and the sooner that this fight is over, the better.*

Aerinin nods, catching her drift. He slows his movements, pretending his fight with Meles had tired him. He thrust his scimitar forward, just slow enough to dodge, but still seem realistic.

Meles, off to the side, studied the two carefully. They both interested her and she knew they'd be pounding down her door for answers.

Luminere: *dodges and fires more arrows. one gets so close to his leg it sends a tickling sensation up his leg.*

He unconsciously winces, and sweeps with his other leg, trying to knock her off balance.

Luminere: *She falls to the ground and releases an arrow the misses in entirety.*

Aerinin, seeing his chance, quickly stands and points his blade towards her.

"Concede." He says simply, keeping an eye on Luminere's tail. He wouldn't fall for the same trick twice.

Luminere: *she sweeps her tail but not to trip him. She throws dust into the air and points an arrow at his face. She loosens her grip on her bow, making it wasy to knowck out of her hands*

Aerinin blinked furiously to get the dust out of his eyes before noticing the arrow's tip just barely touching his nose. But, he had made sure tat his blade was just barely touching her stomach.

"Call it a draw?" He mumbled, not wanting to move too much, else get cut by the arrow.

Luminere: Draw. *she lowers her arrow* good fight.

A small human wakes up in the center of town.

Aventail: Where am I? *look studys his newbie wear* I cant remember anything. * An Armor clad being places his hand on Aventails shoulder.

Chase: I dont know kid nut lets find out.

Nijek: How did i get hear...* looks at his hands* What a pain...

*A Giant explosion of dark energy rips though the sky over the Star Mark and then quickly closes leaving nothing but a purple Hedgehog laying flat on his face in the center of the mark*
Chris:*pulls his head out of the hole in the ground* Wow Gearick That really has some kick*looks around for his Robotic sidekick buts finds no sign of him* Gearick? Where did you go? and why did you replace the lab with a desert?* Takes notice that his cloth has changed into a set of black and red newbie clothing* This isn't what i was wearing a second ago *checks his back* Of course thats still there *His cape blows calmly in the wind* At least everything hasn't changed. Now lets get to business.

Uladh

Ciar Dungeon

A young man with long, black hair, unusual clothing, bird-like boots, a Shield, and a warhammer wakes up in the middle of a dungeon room, he looks around with a suspicious face.

Shu: where the hell?

he walks onward to find another room, a treasure chest in the middle of it.

Shu: OOH! Money!

He opens the chest and monsters appear all around him.

Shu: Craaaaaaappppppp.....

He fights off all the monsters, and continues on in the dungeon, he then finds the end, where a Large golem is blocking the Exit.

Shu: hmmm.... i'm gonna have to think this through.

He charges forward, The Golem rushes back and is about to hit him when he puts up his shield, it does less damage but he still gets hurt, he then hits the golem with the warhammer, damaging the golem badly, the golem uses magic to grow 2x larger, Shu gets a little scared but keeps fighting, in the end the golem dies, but Shu is badly damaged, he walks out of the dungeon, wounded badly.

Aerinin sheaths his blade and grins as the crowd cheers. Some threw gold towards them, a gift Aerinin graciously accepted. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Meles walking back to her shop. He still had questions, and Meles might be the only person he knew that could answer them.
